Yeah, I wonder where that came from... Is it from a new witness? Because before Klein said no one had seen DeOrr.

I don't believe Klein is a Prosecuting Attorney in Idaho and therefore not in a position to offer anyone a deal. Paul Withers is the Lemhi County prosecuting attorney. SB has not yet completed the investigation and no charges have been filed. The idea JM was offered a deal was probably more of Klein grand standing.

Are you referring to the "there were none" answer from Klein? If so, IIRC, there were two questions asked and I thought Klein just got confused or was answering another question by mistake?

I find it interesting because it is 24 hours removed from the filthy, bawling baby sighting the parents talked about right at the beginning.

INCREDIBLY small. Everyone knows someone in SE Idaho. I had dinner tonight with someone who used to paint houses withDDK a hundred years ago- no interest in becoming an "official" insider in this case because I really have NO inside knowledge, but it's a small place.

Those questions were sent to him/them last night, though. I see why some wouldn't like him and his ways, but at the end of the day the case isn't fading into the background like many do.

But he sent them back obviously violating the new deal already. You're right I don't like him nor his ways. I believe he has another motive aside from finding DeOrr. I do believe he wants to find this child but if he is working "hand in hand" with LE why doesn't he just forward his certain knowledge of where DeOrr is to SB. Could it be he doesn't trust these "best of the best" officers? Or does he want the publicity? It's just hinky to me.

Small in population versus size sure. Amazes me that Bonneville County is 2 1/2 times the size of my own here in England but only 1/10th the population. I can hear how quiet it is from here!

You have no idea:gaah: Idaho Falls is one of the larger communities in Idaho and only has about 50,000 in population. Eastern Idaho is vast with most of it wilderness. I worked in that part of the state for most of my career. There were times I would travel 200 miles to meet with clients.

I don't understand the Klein hate. Who gives a crap if he gets publicity? Does that in any way lessen what he's doing/done regarding this child? I, for one, am glad to hear the things that he's told the media. Of course there are many things he hasn't told us, I'm sure. Like a previous poster noted, at least his releases have kept up awareness of the case and it is a good feeling to know that things are moving along and not just, "Well, we didn't find him during the searches." then silence...
I've seen many cases here at WS where we are begging for information and the lack of it makes interest just die down.
I hope they are able to find DeOrr as soon as possible. Praying for an early thaw so a search and recovery can be safely completed.

I think TS is ran by Tim Miller. And Klein is using the name to benefit from his agenda ; Even though the founder whom daughter was actually murdered was in agreement with Klein.

So just because you are in the same state and are affiliated with a program that is professional; Doesn't give you the right to to use their respective name while bashing others. Jmo

I am with you. Love him, like him, hate him (or don't care), whatever. IMO it doesn't diminish a business's efforts if they take on a project for a great cause and publicity. Especially if it's pro-bono or low-bono (that's what we call it in our office when you get a little bit of money but not enough to break even.

Who cares? We beg for info and publicity for a case and when someone gives it, we question his motives and accuracy of the info given. We don't need to pick apart everything and everyone. He can be the biggest grandstanding, showboating mutha ever. If anything he does helps get this baby out of a lonely, unworthy cold dirt grave on that mountain, then he can be that jerk for all I care.

He said they are coming when the weather clears and just checking the webpage they have DeOrr Listed on the front page. They list the article on DeOrr on their front page under TES in the news!

I believe some are referring to this statement made by Kline:
"Great question - it is in a special account. That money is only for travel and travel related expenses. The KIC Foundation has paid the investigators and we can give that number : $55,300 (rounded) and support team staff $4,600 (rounded). The rest of the money will be used to move in Texas Equasearch and GGA Cadaver dogs from Georgia in the spring."

His first sentence refers to the $20,000, being in a special account.

I believe Kline said before of the 20.000, that around 13,000. had been used. I have no link though.

Furthermore, I believe it was Chelsea and/or Nate where it was also mentioned that Klein does 3 free cases a year from "his firm's family foundation" and this was one of them. The $20,000 was the travel piece that he wanted family to get involved and help contribute and/or encourage them to raise money to help out.

Is that a given they BRING IN Texas Equasearch? What is the connection between Klein and Miller? I thought Miller made his own choices in where to go?

And speaking of that TE will only go into a search if the have both LE and the Family asking and supporting that search effort.

The way things have been going I have concerns TE won't get that approval.

But TES is mostly from Texas.

So it seems like he uses the TES when it helps. But THE ACTUAL TM ISN'T VOUCHING FOR HIM IN THE MEDIA. JMO

In all honesty. The prosecution does not decide anything to prosecute without the district attorney telling them what they need to prosecute. So the DA ( wether federal or state ) will make the decisions. Jmo
