I agree that if they covered up an accident that of course they should be prosecuted, I was just responding that there is more than one victim in a death like this.
I was wondering, isn't it odd that they have the same lawyer? To me it seems that possibly one of them really doesn't know the truth. It's just the way I've been trying to play it out in my head. If my husband and I did something bad together and were now named suspects, I would get my own lawyer just in case he decided to talk and start blaming me.

In the Q&A yesterday it was said JM couldn't afford a lawyer so Browning is "going to help her out"

Today is Mother's Day in the UK - I can't stop thinking about little DeOrr :baby:

Happy Mothers Day Purplepixii !

Does anybody else ever think of Caylee Anthony when thinking of DeOrr?

Lately I do. Perhaps it with the notice that TES will be coming to search. I remember the huge search they did but didn't find her and little Caylee was down the street from her home all the time.

I also remember rumors of Casey sedating Caylee and putting her in the trunk of the car so she could party.

When I used to read those reports I always wondered how many not so nice folks with little kids would start doing the same thing.

Could that have happened to DeOrr the night they arrived at camp? Maybe too much of something in his sippy cup?

MOO

I remember all too well, Zanny the Nanny, Zanny being Xanax. I have no idea if it was true, but she sure did something to that baby.

I want to grab these people on SM & Shake some sense into them! Stop with the new groups & pages & fundraising! Fundraising for what? That missing 2 year old doesn't need any money! LE isn't charging to investigate & Klein has repeatedly said he will not be accepting donations! Goodness. It is one thing to do what Webslueths has done, a moderated hashing out of a situation. These strangers are fueling so much infighting & speculation! The family is feeding right into. I'm just disgusted with all of it at the moment.

Oh, me too! I totally hate all of this. Sadly, even if his poor little body is found, I am now having a hard time believing that JM and VDK will get a "fair" trial. And by "fair" I mean this has become such a media circus, I could just see his body being found on the mountain and their attorney (because there is so much doubt out there) being able to convince a jury that DeOrr was, indeed, abducted and his body left on the mountain by a stranger.
:gaah:

When I think about his body being buried out there alone in the wilderness, it seems so macabre like a Steven King novel. And I wonder if the parents forgot - left some bit of evidence with him - that haunts them, makes them bolt awake at night knowing that when his body is found, it will tell the tale of his death.

Similar to how Scott Peterson felt when his baby washed ashore.

I'm guessing there's a blanket and a monkey with him.

I wanted to clarify that I was asking if it is legal to fire someone because they are considered a suspect in the disappearance of their child. I don't necessarily feel sorry for her, I was approaching the situation from a legal standpoint, without my person opinion interfering.
She could have been dismissed for her own safety.

I agree!!! It's like entertainment for some of these people. I have to say that I usually find social media useful in a case but I cannot bring myself to read all of the junk associated with this. Poor, poor baby DeOrr, alone, in the cold, under the stars.

My 2 year old cousin wandered up a ladder and drowned in a yard full if relatives. Trust me when I say this, accidents do happen and there's definitely more than one victim when it does.

Not directed at Raymonde, but saying it because I'm here, I am surprised so many of us are beyond reasonably convinced that something nefarious has happened here. I mean they haven't even been charged yet. I'm not saying they are innocent, I'm just really surprised how far in alot of us are. For me, I'm not so sure. I also don't see the parents as evil, conniving, devious killers. I just can't see what I'm missing here.
Anyway, I hope they get back up there soon, find this baby and put it all together once and for all.

From Day 1 info has been withheld and distorted by the parents. Their very first story is simply not believable - we are out in the wilderness, with poor cell coverage and a 45 minute drive to civilization, but we're going to "explore" without our 2 year old who is probably the most curious to explore than any of them, and we're going to leave the 2 year old with his elderly great grandpa who is oxygen dependent and in "poor health", and oh, our campsite is just yards from a steep embankment at the bottom of which is a creek, and great grandpa couldn't possibly catch him if he took off in that direction. Oh, we also didn't make absolutely certain that grandpa knew he was in charge of the two year old, because what could go wrong in that scenario?

Responsible parents do not do that. When you're in a new place with a toddler you're hyper-vigilant.

You don't do interviews in which you lavish praise on the searchers who haven't actually found the kid yet. Yes, thanking them for their efforts is appropriate but not gushing on and on about how amazing they are. They can't be that amazing if the boy is still missing.

They actively rejected efforts to help them, including Vilt offering up $20K of his own money as a reward. Seriously?! Who turns down that kind of assistance? Oh, I know...someone who already knows where the child is, that's who.

They declined to talk to the media because they didn't want their words twisted - BS. They didn't want it to be so damn obvious that they couldn't keep their stories straight.

They let his eye color go uncorrected on the missing poster for MONTHS.

They have angrily reacted publicly to the accusations that they know more than they're saying, but the local law enforcement agency, the FBI, and two private investigators have come to the conclusion that they are lying.

None of their actions since he disappeared have been geared towards finding him, but many of their actions have been geared towards preventing him being found.

There's nothing about them that is NOT suspicious, in my opinion. I think even their loyal families have begun to doubt their innocence, despite their statements of total belief in them.

About Jessica: do you remember that interview a few weeks ago where she sat, completely mute, with her head down and clutching her mom and VDK with a death grip? If that's any indication of her state of mind, I'm surprised she had a job in the first place.

If anyone's feeling sorry for J and V - try putting yourself in DeOrr's shoes instead of the shoes of the suspects. Even if it turned out DeOrr did wander away and die, that only happened because his parents weren't bothering to watch him in what they knew was a dangerous place. Imagine DeOrr wandering off, looking for mommy... Getting lost, falling over, getting hurt, calling for mommy, crying, panicking... Imagine his terror when it started to get dark... Imagine drowning all alone, or being mauled by a wild animal...

No matter what actually happened up on that mountain, there's only one victim in this case.

Thanks is not enough.

If Lemhi County needs a prosecutor, you should apply! [that's not sarcasm either... I'm totally serious - your post is spot on - thank you!]

Hi all!

Right now I have 2 more pages to read (100 posts each page) and what I do, if I want to respond to someone's post - I open my "NotePad" and copy the quote and reply, and than when I finally end a page, I post that and continue reading... Just like I'm doing now (on Page 3 as I type) Hopefully that's helpful to you!

Actually, JM DID trhow GGP under the bus (after 911 call) and said that GGP was watching little DeOrr... :underbus:

okay - next page... :pcguru:

Thank you for the tip, Niner!
