Speaking of the 3 car chargers... didn't Klein say in his comment on Facebook that he would be posting more info about them the night of the Q & A? Did I miss something there?

Yes, he did and I haven't seen anything either... weird.

BBM. I have a different interpretation. I think if any homicide is intentional, that means it was done with malice aforethought which makes it a murder and can't be a manslaughter. I take voluntary manslaughter to mean that a person did something that caused a death, but the intention was not to kill that person.

The definition of malice aforethought is: the intention to kill or harm, which is held to distinguish unlawful killing from murder.

I know that intention is defined differently in different states, but I agree that in Idaho intent means with malice, which means murder, not manslaughter.

I took that as poor sentence structure. I think he meant that he is going to reveal something, and here it is now, the 3 chargers.

ETA: He wrote: " We do know that three cell phone charges were bought between IDF and Leadore. We will release that information to you tonight."

On the Q & A, someone asked if Klein would be searching MacKay Peak and Bear Mountain.

MacKay Peak is a few miles west of the town of Mackay. It's about a 2 to 2.5 hour trip from the town of Leadore (depending on which way you go). I noticed there are some mine shafts in the area. http://www.topozone.com/idaho/custer-id/summit/mackay-peak/

Bear Mountain is in the Lemhi Range (same mountain range as Timber Creek but on the other side) in Custer County. According to google maps, it would take about 3 to 3.5 hours to drive there on the highway (depending on which way you go). As the crow flies, it's not that far from Timber Creek but I doubt there are any roads up over the mountains, although who knows... It's actually not too far from the other Timber Creek Campground, which probably means nothing, but it's kind of interesting. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bear+Mountain/@44.3633136,-113.5584114,12z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x5357b4ab3eb6b4d9:0x1de866baf7c6e31e!8m2!3d44.3574261!4d-113.452549

I wonder where these two locations came from and why someone would think to ask if he was searching the areas?

Klein stated that three cell phone chargers were purchased between Idaho Falls and Leadore (during his last Q and A session on his FB page).

And jessica told Trina via text that she was turning her phone off because her battery was low. That was AFTER the chargers were purchased! I am so sick of the endless lies.

But why / how could anyone need that many chargers? OK, so there were 4 adults and probably the same number of phones on the trip, but surely 3 people didn't accidentally leave their chargers behind. Am I being thick? I feel very confused about this!

So I assume two of the chargers were bought on Thursday (on the way up) and the third one was bought on Friday during their trip to town? (The Stage Stop was closed when they arrived in Leadore Thursday evening - or at least that's what been said).

I didn't think about that; I bet you are right. I must have taken him too literally. Thank you for pointing that out!

On the other hand, I am absolutely baffled by the 3 chargers. I have been thinking about it since the Q & A but have come up w/ nothing that would even come remotely close to a logical guess explaining why they would need that many chargers, even amongst 4 people. :gah:

I can't think of anything nefarious about buying chargers. What do you guys think?

I wonder if they were car chargers or wall chargers?

ETA: If we found out all 3 were wall chargers it would definitely set my hinky meter off

Good question! Maybe they just bought the cord since most of the are USB? I'm kinda w/ Paula though.. How nefarious could phone chargers be? I have been trying to think of that too and have also come up w/ nothing.

I'm new to all this, and catching up. Here's my theory on the chargers. If Deorr was already deceased, and they knew they would be reporting him missing, then they could have been concerned that they had enough battery life on the cell phones to call the police/sheriff, relatives, etc. to set the ruse? Just a thought.

I found this question/ answer to be interesting.

Q. Did GGP's suburban overheat on the way up to the campsite forcing VDK to pull/tow it?
Klein: There was a trailer situation - depending on whose story you listen to.

A "trailer situation" gives us another stopping point on the way to the campground.
And IMO, in a trailer situation/ car over-heating, pulling off the road and accessing the problem could be where little DeOrr was injured.
Lots of commotion, and no one watching little DeOrr.

Also, how strange is it to buy 3 phone chargers between Idaho Falls and Leadore?

I think you have something there. This would explain a lot of things if they had trailer issue and had to pull over mid trip and everyone got out to help fix trailer and boy may have gotten runned over somehow. Or the trailer was unhitched and fell on him or something.

You are right that when something like that happens there is always a lot of commotion in a situation like that and it could be where the boy was in a spot where
nobody noticed as the trailer was moved or vehicle was moved.

I have been open to many possibilities but one thing I feel pretty sure of is that the boy never was really camping with them that Friday morning. I think whataver happened had to have happened before the fateful Friday morning when the parents started to claim he was missing.

The theory about them having trailer issues makes a lot of things fit.

We need to find the exact spot where they had trailer issues. There could be some clues at the scene.

This makes sense...in a sense. But if it were truly an accident, why hide the body? Why not own up to the tragedy? Where are the tears of the grieving parents? An accident involving a vehicle seems to make the most sense but the odd behavior from that point til now on the parts of all 4 campers just throws me.

I was just having the opposite thought...If they were car chargers.....it would get my attention..Lots of driving...keep your cell phone charged at all times to communicate with other people???
