@FBI went further under the boards, finding a black plastic bag, potentially a black garbage bag. Daniels said they needed to verify if there were human remains. He removed the dirt, an oval-shaped object wrapped tightly around. He said it felt like a skull.

On June 10, the FBI team began working again. They started following the same process removing the dirt layer by layer. Daniels said it was a mass of dismembered human remains, burnt, partially burnt, making it difficult to excavate.
