According to JJ's school, the Laurens Institute For Education, Vallow has logged into Bloomz – an app used for parents and teachers to communicate –several times since he was pulled out of the school.

In an email, the school said in part:

"Some of these instances occurred around Thanksgiving, when the story of JJ’s and Tylee’s disappearance broke before Christmas, and most recently up to last week when we found this out and removed her access to the application. We cannot speculate as to why Lori or someone using her accounts or electronics would continue to follow the classroom or our organization during this time frame.

Laurens Institute For Education continues to post two yellow ribbons, one for JJ and one for Tylee, in support of their safe return. In addition, staff members continue to wear yellow ribbons. It was an honor and a privilege to serve JJ, we were sad when he was withdrawn. We were devastated to learn he was missing in early December. We all want JJ safely returned. JJ was a very happy little boy and he felt emotions very strongly while with us. JJ was diagnosed with Autism, yet he was verbal and was able to express himself. You knew when he was happy and when he was sad. We want to believe he is well and will return home soon."

In a follow-up email to 12 News, the Laurens institute for education said Vallow logged on "countless" times.

IDAHO FALLS — Keith Morrison has been a news reporter for over 45 years and says he has never seen another story like the Chad and Lori Daybell case.

The Dateline NBC correspondent, known for his dramatic delivery of real-life murder mysteries, has been working with his team and EastIdahoNews.com on a two-hour special called “Where Are the Children?” that will air Friday night.

“It’s nothing like anything else. I’ve been doing this for a long time and this stands alone,” Morrison said Thursday afternoon during a FaceTime interview from an edit bay at NBC News Headquarters in New York City. “To make sure we get everything just right, we’ve had screenings for senior producers and lawyers…and anybody who has seen this for the first time is gobsmacked.”

Dateline's Daybell episode to air Friday

Keith Morrison will be the correspondent on this episode. It will feature footage of Daybell and Vallow days after being questioned by police, interviews with friends of the couple, a sit-down with J.J.’s grandparents, and a look at Vallow’s Rexburg storage unit.

In one released clip, Vallow’s friend says Lori has been telling people that “she's waiting for (media hype) to die down.”

Morrison flew to Hawaii where his team tracked down the couple. In another clip, Dateline reporters can be seen walking alongside the couple in Kauai asking them, "Where are your kids?”

Lori can be heard responding, “Leave us alone. No comment.”

Morrison's team also visited Rexburg, where the children were last seen.

Information from the school starts on Feb. 5, 2019 when JJ was absent from L.I.F.E. Academy.

On Feb. 11, his father Charles Vallow visits the school and claims Lori had "gone crazy" and was hearing religious voices. She had disappeared and no one knew where she was. Charles also told the school he had a protection order against Lori and that he would be pulling JJ out of school and taking him out of state until he was safe.

Around the same time, Feb. 15, Charles filed for divorce from Lori.

At the end of February, Charles and JJ return to L.I.F.E. Academy and Lori is still MIA.

On March 7, Charles formally withdrew JJ from school, saying they were going to stay with family in Texas.

Fast forward to late June, Lori contacts L.I.F.E. saying the family was back in Gilbert. She also enrolled JJ in the school's summer program.

Mid-July, on the 11th, Charles Vallow is shot and killed by Lori's brother, Alex Cox. But the school wouldn't find out about his death until a week later, when Lori told them Charles had committed suicide.

L.I.F.E. did their own research and learned Charles was killed as part of a family dispute, so to "do due diligence" the school filed a report with Arizona's Department of Child Safety.

The timeline moves to August 5, where JJ starts the new school year at L.I.F.E. Later that month, his grandparents, Kay and Larry Woodcock, called the school to ask about JJ's welfare, claiming they hadn't seen him in awhile.

Video from Jan 22, 2020

Note: Additional Bodycam video of Alex Cox being taken into police station in back of police car can be found in this video. Bodycam starts around 8:40 with detectives talking in a circle outside the house; Alex is placed in back of cruiser at around 14 minutes into the video.

ETA: The above video is the source for these entries in the Timeline from July 11, 2019, the day Charles Vallow was shot to death:

Approx 9:16 am – Alex is placed in the back of a police car to be transported to the station. Bodycam video records some of the conversation on the way there. LEO pats AC down, takes all the items out of his pockets and puts in a clear plastic bag, then gives him a bottle of water to drink. AC is placed in the back of the car without any handcuffs. LEO turns on the air-conditioning and tells AC how to adjust his own vent in the back. They make small talk about the weather and how hot it is in AZ as LEO drives. AC asks LEO about his vest and how hot it is to wear. AC asks if Chandler is more dangerous or Fallujah and LEO replies he wouldn’t know, he has never been to Fallujah. LEO asks AC why he has a rental car & AC says it’s not his rental, AC says he drives the F-150 truck in the driveway. LEO says he didn’t realize that and radios back to the other LEOs still at the house to make sure they know the rental car Lori drove away in belongs to CV and the truck belongs to AC. LEO asks AC about the truck he drives for work; It’s a 10 speed automatic, it struggles to go up hills; AC picks up hazardous waste in Arizona and takes it to Arkansas for his job (CPD bodycam, Gray Hughes video).

Approx 9:34 am – Alex and LEO driving him arrive at the station parking garage. LEO escorts AC into the office, still no handcuffs and asks him to stand by a desk for a minute while LEO looks around for an empty room. LEO asks if AC needs to use the bathroom. LEO asks AC to put his things down on a conference table in a room with several chairs and directs AC which chair to sit in. LEO examines the back of AC’s head with a flashlight and asks him how his head feels. AC says “a little sore, but not bad.” LEO asks AC if he is having any headaches and AC says “a little bit.” LEO asks AC if he feels nausea and AC says “a little but not bad.” LEO asks if he wants to have a dr look at his head and AC says, “no, it’s more adrenaline than anything.” LEO asks for medical history; AC says he is slightly overweight and his blood pressure was a little high his last physical, but he’s not on any medication and doesn’t have any medical conditions (CPD bodycam, Gray Hughes video).

Dateline preview video: Dateline: Where Are The Children?

The video says that when police went to the Rexburg Townhouse on Nov 26, 2019, Alex Cox answered the door; Alex told police JJ was in Louisiana with his grandparents, which was not true as KW & LW were the ones who asked for the welfare check. Lori was also at home and told police a different story (also false).

You may notice the house is sparsely furnished. She'd only lived there 3 weeks at this point. Sources tell us that Lori loves to dance. And in this home and previous homes, she set aside a room for dancing. #Dateline
