Police executing search warrant at Chad Daybell's home | East Idaho News

SALEM — Rexburg Police executed a search warrant at Chad Daybell’s home Monday afternoon.

Officers in marked and unmarked vehicles arrived around 1:15 p.m. and showed some paperwork to Daybell’s son-in-law, who has been living at the home with his family, witnesses say. Police went into the house and were seen in the backyard with cameras. It’s unknown what officers are looking for, and Madison County Prosecuting Attorney Rob Wood declined to comment on the warrant.

BOUDREAUX CASE: Brandon Boudreaux has just filed a few responses in the custody battle with Melani Pawlowski, Lori Vallow’s niece.

Here are my takeaways from the new documents. Pages 1-3 show an affidavit of Gilbert PD detective Ryan Pillar. He’s investigating the murder attempt on Boudreaux from 10/2/19. In the affidavit, he calls Pawlowski a “person of interest” and not a suspect in the case. Pillar says Boudreaux never kept his or his children’s whereabouts from law enforcement. In October, Boudreaux was informed there were concerns over his and his kids’ safety. The day after the shooting, Pillar made contact with Pawlowski to let her know what happened. On 10/16/19, Pillar says Pawlowski contacted him regarding her kids but never again after that.

On page 4 in this post, Boudreaux cites Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood who is the special prosecutor in both cases against Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell. He says Wood calls Pawlowski a person of interest in other felonious acts as well as the disappearance of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan who are both now dead.

Important to note there is a protection ordered petitioned by Natalie Pawlowski against her ex-husband Ian (now married to Melani). The order protects their two kids and Ian can only have supervised parenting time. Documents say since the renewed Protection Order on 6/5/20, Ian has not had any contact with his kids.

In another response, Brandon Boudreaux says Melanie Gibb (Lori Vallow’s former best friend) was told by Pawlowski that two of her own kids are “zombies.” Gibb is supposed to testify in the case. According to Boudreaux, Gibb also tells him Pawlowski allegedly said he went from “dark” to “zombie” and that he was once in Hitler’s tight group of friends when Hitler was alive.

The next hearing is set for July 1 in Maricopa County Family Court

Melani is another one who needs to be locked up and the key thrown away.

Lori Vallow Daybell charged with conspiracy to conceal evidence | East Idaho News

ST. ANTHONY — Lori Vallow Daybell is facing additional charges in connection to the disappearance and deaths of her children.

Daybell was charged late Monday with two counts of conspiracy to commit destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence, according to multiple sources. The charges were filed after hours so information has not officially been posted on court websites.

The PC affidavit is nearly identical to the one for Chad Daybell. But this page stands out. It says CD, Lori Vallow & Alex Cox conspired to commit crime of concealing & destroying/altering evidence they knew would be produced as evidence in trial.

Here’s the warrant for Lori Vallow’s arrest despite her already being held in jail. Bond amount listed for charges is $1M.

NEW DETAILS: JJ Vallow was further identified by relative Brandon Boudreaux. Police say Tylee Ryan’s remains had been burnt and dismembered, left unrecognizable. Orthodontist & Ada County coroner were able to ID her.
 
Daybell and her attorney, Mark Means, participated in the hearing via Zoom from the Madison County Courthouse due to COVID-19 concerns.

Judge Faren Eddins presided and Madison County Prosecuting Attorney Rob Wood joined from his office. Daybell’s son and daughter-in-law, Colby and Kelsee Ryan, appeared on-screen during the proceedings and Eddins noted that Kay and Larry Woodcock, Joshua “JJ” Vallow’s grandparents, were listening in to the hearing.

Eddins kept Daybell’s bond at $1 million.

Before the hearing ended, Eddins asked Means if he had ever represented any other people associated with this case. He responded that he had not, and Wood interrupted.

“Your honor, I need to interject. At a bail reduction here in Madison County, Mr. Means did represent to the court that he was also representing Mr. Daybell. There was no criminal matter against him at that time, but I think that is appropriate to know,” Wood said.

Eddins asked Wood and Means to each submit an explanation regarding the issue so the case can move forward.

Daybell’s next court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 10 and 11.

ST. ANTHONY — Chad Daybell appeared before a judge Wednesday afternoon after being charged with two felony counts of conspiracy to commit destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence. He is also charged with two counts of destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence.

Chad Daybell’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 3 and 4. A preliminary hearing for Lori Daybell is set for Aug. 10 and 11.


If Chad Daybell is found guilty of all four charges, he could face up to 20 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
