@Idaho Lynx - about a week has gone by - and wondering if there might be any updates for hearings & if his trial is still a go on 5/23/22.

Well - since I have had no response - I'm going to go ahead & post this.

Monday, May 23rd:
*Trial set to begin (@ 8:30am MT) – ID – Lyryk Altom (20 mos.) (Oct. 8, 2017, Twin Falls-taken to hospital & died Oct. 14, 2017) – for *Joshua Eric Molina (33/now 37) (BF) arrested & charged (March/2017) & arraigned (5/30/18) on 1st degree murder & 3 counts felony injury to a child. Will be retried on 1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child. Plead not guilty.
Trial began on 2/25/20 for Molina only & ended on 3/8/20 with guilty verdicts for 1 count of felony injury to a child. Will be retried on the 1st degree murder & 2 counts of felony injury to a child.
Re-Trial was set to begin on 10/13/20 has been continued to 4/19/21 due to COVID & continued to 10/4/21 has been continued due to COVID & continued on 5/23/22.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Following lengthy delays due to COVID-19, Joshua Molina’s retrial began with jury selection being the priority on Monday.

After two weeks in court, the jury found him guilty of two counts of injury to a child but could not come to a decision on the rest of Molina’s charges, resulting in a hung jury.

The Twin Falls County Court Services confirmed the trial is expected to last at least two weeks.

@ReadySet - any news on "what" happened to his trial? Was he found guilty -hopefully! I stopped posting this on 5/27/22. And the only articles I'm finding is that his trial started....

Based on this, I think the trial is still ongoing. I'm not sure it's even started, there seem to be a lot of hearings?

Thanks for the interpretation, I would think by now, following true crime for 12 years I would understand court-speak!

LOL! I too have followed trials for quite a long time - but that is my interpretation of what I read on the court site. So - actually guessing on my part - but I did have a note that the trial would take about 2 weeks - and it has been 2 weeks now.
