If JonBenet's death was an accident...

The FBI said that there has never been a case of a child murdered in their home by an intruder while his or her parents slept. What do you make of that? I know you can't always go by statistics but it is telling that there has never been one case that fits the IDI theory. It's not like we're talking stranger abductions where there's 115 of them a year. We are talking about none nada zip cases where a child is killed in the home while the parents slept.

Not only that, but the FBI CASKU unit also said that in all their history, there had never been a case of a kidnap ransom note that threatened to behead a child. There had never been a case where a ransom note was left and the child was also left behind, dead in their own home. Until JB.

So, I wonder where the probability lies, that this was an actual kidnapping attempt, by an IDI. 10,000,000 to 1? There have been a lot of kidnappings and child murders. There are how many people on this planet? And this is the ONLY case like this. With NO proof, that can be disputed, of an intruder entering the residence that night. A logical mind should be able to look at these two statements by FBI, EXPERTS in their fields, and at least have the idea/possibility in their mind that the R's have NOT been ruled out!!

Fake or real, ransom notes seem very rare. They almost seem like something of the past or from a movie. I did a Google search for "Cases with Ransom notes" and guess what comes up? JonBenet, Zahra Baker, and the Lindbergh baby. In comparison, do a search for "murdered by a stranger" and see how many different cases come up!

Also, look at this google news archive search for ransom note...look at the chart to see where the huge increase in articles mentioning ransom notes are? The mid 1930's and the late 1990s! Hmmm, I wonder why! Look at how rarely ransom notes are mentioned from the 1940s-1980s.

Also, why would someone kidnap a little girl for only 118k? That would last you about a year. I have wondered why the Ramseys didn't make it like 10 million dollars; it's not like they would ever have to pay it. But I suppose they wanted to make it 118k so it would point to someone who worked at AG.

SunnieRN,

What is the probability that given Patsy states she purchased size-12 bloomingdale underwear in New York, opened them and placed them in JonBenet's underwear drawer. That despite JonBenet being discovered wearing a pair of bloomingdale size-12's, there were none to be found in her underwear drawer and none to be found anywhere else in the house?

Population of USA, approximately 300 million? Child population, lets say 1 million, how many attempted and actual child kidnapping are there each year?

Expressed as a percentage of the child population might be the probability number?

eileenhawkeye,
It looks that way. But in hindsight it seems naive.

According to the U.S. Census, 24.3% of the US Population is under the age of 18. I did the math and that makes 74,602,591 kids in America.

Here are some statistics about child kidnappings and child murders:

There are 115 stereotypical kidnappings every year in the US. In a stereotypical kidnapping, The child was kidnapped by a stranger or a slight acquaintance and the child was transported 50 miles or more, held overnight, held for ransom, kept permanently, or killed.
(The chance of that happening to your child is: 0.000154150142%

About TWENTY-FIVE kids between the ages of 6-11 are victims of stereotypical kidnappings, as described above. 25 kids out of 74.6 million!!!

Here's something interesting: The organization that put out the statistics said this about the perpetrator demanding a ransom: Estimate is based on too few sample cases to be reliable.

In 2008, 1494 children were murdered in the United States.

Not to discard or make light of that UK Guy, as you know we agree 100% on that, but that is only 1 item, 1 lie, in a huge list! Just leading me back to my above statement!

I hear the younger the child, the more likely a family member killed them. JonBenet's death was High Risk. It's not like she was grabbed walking down the street.

You have an expensive home and wouldn't the intruder think an alarm would be set? Would an intruder think there was a dog inside?

So the panties, (again). JBR dressed herself, even LHP said so. PR had packed the clothes on Christmas Day to go away the next morning. JBR was told to get ready to go to the Whites for Christmas Dinner. She goes to the panty drawer, but all that's in there are her too small, stained panties. Does she want to wear one of these to visit her best friend on Christmas Day? Noooo. So, she goes to where her mother was packing, finds a brand new pack of Bloomies day of the week panties, takes out the Wednesday pair (cause it was Wednesday!) and puts them on. Replaces the remaining 6 panties, still in the box, back where she found them, to take on holidays.

All her old stained panties are left behind in the drawer, and her new ones are packed (in the spare room) ready to leave. Silly old Plod never even looks there!!

Also, many IDI's believe a stun gun was used on JBR. Okay, then why didn't the intruder remove her from the house like Danielle Van Dam or Elizabeth Smart was? If this intruder stunned her to get her to the basement without anyone waking up, why wouldn't he just take her out the front door? Murdering a child in her own home while her parents slept is a HUGE risk. Also, why didn't this intruder kidnap JBR when she was riding her bike outside or something?

Although Christmas Day that year was a Wednesday, JB could not read. Her parents admitted that.

"JonBenet, Zahra Baker, and the Lindbergh baby." Respectfully Snipped and BBM

This is very interesting. The following is partly my opinion on these 3 RN's:

JonBenet Ramsey: Believed to be fake and child was murdered in own home
Zahra Baker: Known to be fake and child was murdered in own home
Lindbergh Baby: I believe to be fake and child's body was found on remote spot on
family's property

Wonder what the odds are that any of these three children were murdered by a stranger?
Anyone who takes the time to study the Lindbergh murder may be surprised at some of the evidence in it. Personally, I believe John Ramsey knew every detail of the Lindbergh "kidnapping" as he was such a fan of aviation. If what I believe is true, Lindbergh let an innocent man die for his mistake. Wonder if JR would have done the same had LE arrested someone for JonBenet's death? I sincerely hope if the dna owner is ever found that he has a good alibi. Guilty or not, LE has been pressured for almost 15 years to make an arrest and if that person is ever identified, heaven help him!

my bold

I have not read that she could not read days of the week. I wouldn't have expected her to be able to read a book or a street sign, but most kids know these simple everyday words by 6yo. Do you have a source for this?

From DOI.

DOI (HB) Page 3:

"The kids screamed and cheered as they realized that Santa had brought just about everything in their lists. JonBenet wanted to take her new bike outside for a spin, but Burke suggested, "Let's get all the other gifts opened first. "Ah, the wise and experienced big brother. JonBenet agreed. They quickly busied themselves playing Santa's elves and distributing the beautifully wrapped gifts. JonBenet asked for Burke's assistance with the name tags, since he could read and she couldn't. It was the most fun in the world, doling out the gifts and seeing whose pile would become the biggest."

Remember MF, per your words, Patsy NEVER lies.

On Amazon.com, you used to be able to read the first chapter of DOI. The Ramseys said in the book that Burke had to help JBR on Christmas because JBR couldn't read the names on the presents---Mom, Dad, Burke, and JonBenet. Is it normal for a 6-year-old to not be able to read her own name, her brother's name, and 'mom' and 'dad'?

Also, I saw a picture of a list of rules that JBR had written for her classroom. They were "No fiten" and "Sha toy" and "Be Nis"

No, true she doesn't and would have no reason to.

I expect those tags were running writing not printing, so perhaps she could recognise printed words even if she couldn't read them. Alternatively, if JBR could ask BR to help with the Christmas tags, she could also ask the same with the day of the week panties. No??

Patsy said 'no' about that. I think it's in the bloomies thread, so you should be able to find the answer to your question there.

As silly as Murri is being, I too think it's a bit rich to think that a 6 year old couldn't read some words.

My 5 year old can read some sentences, but when she was younger she recognized some other words like the days of the week.

Given this was part of her routine (apparently), I think it is more likely that she would recognize the words on her own underpants - especially the only one that starts with a 'W'.
