Did anyone watch the interview on GMA? Mr. Smollett is interesting to watch. His eyes, body language. The attack must have been horrific. I am so glad he is safe.

I don't know how he managed to drive himself to the hospital.

My thoughts are that if it was staged, he may have asked those two men to walk by at that time. In that frigid weather, it would be hard to stage an attack if there is literally not a single other person outside.

The MAGA "lynching" letter sent about 2 weeks previously is presumed to be part of this incident. FBI are in charge of the letter.

HR35 Anti- lynching bill was introduced about 2 weeks prior to the letter. Look at who introduced the bill, and the co-sponsors.

Jussie Smollett is not just an actor, he's a political activist as seen in his photos with his friend Senator Kamala Harris and Representative Maxine Waters attending his "comeback" concert.

Unsubstantiated rumors saying he was afraid of losing his job, is just spin from PR to move away from the truth.

This goes farther and deeper than some run of the mill mediocre actor trying to get some publicity.

All these news organizations have sources, and in most cases, multiple sources within the department.

That’s why the leak that the investigation had turned, is likely true (this was suspicious from the get-go though).

If multiple trustworthy people are all saying the same thing, then these organizations would have no problem reporting something that the higher ups in the department are denying.

Yes. And the reason so many journalists have LE sources is because the press and the law work hand in hand. There are many times that the cops need the press to release pix or videos, or write a certain story to pressure someone. And often they ask them NOT to tell a certain story yet.

So it is a 2 way street. And in cases like this, the journalists are going to reach out and get their favors in return.

IDK. I think the best time to stage a hate crime, if you don't really want to hurt your friend, is in subzero temps, when no one else is around.

Otherwise you may get jumped on or shot for the staged assault, or you will get video-ed on a cell phone, or followed to your uber. [<<which apparently happened anyway]

If true, there are more people than just Jussie sh**in and gittin, because they'll know his only way out is to implicate someone higher up than him.

His illness will possibly be a PTSD type of diagnosis, brought on because of all of the pressure and hatred he feels from society thus, he gets the same type of sympathy that someone was going for at jump.
