I know that the name Dave Lewis has come up on this thread before. I live in Ashland and wanted everyone to know that we just received by regular mail, a flyer about Dave Lewis's death. Here's the link to more info:

I'm not quite sure where this should be posted. If the mods would like to move it, that would be great. I did not see a separate thread for Dave. I remember the night of these fires and agree that something very frightening is going on.

There is a thread for David E Lewis.

Jackson Cty Sheriff's office have stated that there is evidence linking David E Lewis murder and Troy Carney's murder. Both men's bodies found on Sept. 4,2008.

And when Garren Beller went missing, some posters on his Facebook missng person page speculated that
there could be a link between Garren's cousins and David Lewis.
Those posters thought the cousins were capable of 'ripping off'
pot crops. These same posters felt that Garren's cousins are responsible for his disappearance.

There is now a new fb page.
Garren Beller's extended family has lived on Green Spgs Hwy for years and David Lewis lived on Dead Indian Memorial Rd for years.

There has not been any connection noted between David Lewis and Garren Beller, not by Sheriff's office or news media.
There is no evidence of any drug connection between any of the three people listed above.
 
Dreamweaver--Can you direct me to Dave's thread as I don't see it. I wanted to post about the website and the flyer. If I remember correctly, you live in Southern Oregon. Did you receive the flyer? Any thoughts?

There are some awfully strong allegations against Sheriff Winters on that website and I'm curious as to what your take is on those statements. I have to say that the website is well put together and very informative. I wish other families would spend the time to put together sites such as that one.

I do live in Southern Oregon and I did not receive a flyer.
But there may be a good reason for that.
Dave Lewis case is ot for this thread.
Just saying.
 
Garren is still missing. The cases of Dave Lewis and Troy Carney are open-unsolved. There have been flyers sent to some people in the community but it is supposedly random (who is listed in phone book or prominent business people).

The websites for Dave Lewis www.themurderofdavelewis.webs.com and themurderofdavelewis.com seem to be up and running. The websites for Carney are harder to find if you don't have a facebook or my space. Both families are active in keeping the cases in the press.

Garren's family still expresses concerns but because his disappearance was states away, there seems to be little public awareness.

Good for the families who keep their memories alive. Too many apathetic people want to smoke pot and do little else but cry.

Garren appeared to have two different Facebook pages at different times. Have these been taken down? If not, can someone provide a link. If so, why?
 
Supposedly the family of Garren Beller had the FB pages taken down, because they felt they were not productive. They said they have no info and have not heard anything from LE.

Sad to see such little action.

Carney's family never did a website. FB and MySpace maybe. They offered 2,5-K reward.

Lewis' family has two sites up and running. They have offered a 20-K reward.

Sad to see nothing developed on here.

I'm still not sure what I think about Garren's disappearance?

  • Was it an intentional disappearance? Is he "on the run"....
  • Did he make it out of the Indiana/Chicago area? (IMHO, I don't think he did)
  • I would like to know more about that house that "blew up"....but there is little information about that.

Garren Beller, Troy Carney, Dave Lewis.
Big pot country and big moving pot cartels. Using medical marijuana as the black-market exit. Garren's cousins went and got his dog. Possibly because they knew he wasn't going back. Then his house was destroyed. Same as Dave Lewis.
No such thing as coincidence.
 
Any movement on this case at all ? 3 years this week and it seems to have faded. There is a blog in Illinois that does a great job for the missing, but that seems to be all. Anything in any press ? Anywhere ?
 
I'm from Ashland too. :seeya: We were temporarily out of the area during the Lewis and Carney murders, as well as Garren's disappearance. I have kept up with the two other threads, but I'm new to posting on this one. I'm sorry to see that Garren's family and friends have gone silent. They must be so discouraged. It would be nice to see renewed interest in the press. You never know when someone's conscience will bother them. It took eleven years for my neighbor Ed Krahel's murderer to come forward.

It seems that everything MSM has stopped regarding GB. Even the FB page hasn't been updated in years. Here is an article from April 2015 about cold cases, but it's behind the paywall for me so I don't know if it talks about Garren. Maybe someone else can access it and post about it.

While looking for information, I ran across a court case involving Garren in 1999. I doubt it is relevant, but here it is for the record. I couldn't find out what it was about.

Garren disappeared six years ago yesterday in Chicago. My feeling is that he never got on the train and "was disappeared" before he could leave. I see nothing new when I google. Here's hoping his family and friends will have answers someday.

All very sad. Let's hope people help and come forward with the truth.

Somehow these crimes go cold...six years. Sounded like Det. Wiseman had a good case, wonder what is the deal with that?
