In this context - knowing this LE and hotel staff had to be interviewed before and after everything which explains the inordinate amount of time that passed, the what seems like staff indifference to mom -- which was in reality Speculation staff catching on to what had really happened

that would be quiet a shocker to staff

as time was going by more and more video is being seen - by this time by upper management and they are seeing stuff like we all are seeing.

From a management point of view we got to cooperate legal involved shart with LE first what had been going on in the hotel that evening

there would be lots of stuff regarding why the guard did not break it up when he went up there (problem - he was helping out a coworker and just told em to keep it down)

Obviously things were not kept down

I agree that this may have been an opportunistic crime. That's why my previous post questioned about outdoor access via the kitchen. Though the kitchen was in the lower level, buildings can be built in away with additional access outside for food delivery and access to dumpsters.

Is it possible that someone saw her going down there and followed? Or someone who knew the hotel well enough was meeting her there for some privacy? Having been at hotel kickbacks myself as a young adult privacy was something you didn't have much of when you wanted it. Sometimes leading to seeing things/hearing things you don't wanna (*trying to forget*) ...

Outside access off camera could lead to a few ideas. Maybe she wasn't aimlessly walking maybe she knew where she was going. I've had my share of wild nights in AC and have never found myself in a kitchen of a hotel... I just can't imagine it being SOO accessible right off the elevator.

Also as far as her body goes, I am a thicker chick. You better believe I know how to pose the best for my body in selfies/group pics. And any pictures taken by anyone else I loathe. In this day and age we know how to suck it in and poke it out. Sadly, I believe it was definitely the victim walking about the hotel.....

Also, it would be interesting to know how often it ever before this group has rented rooms, or had kickbacks here before. If one individual worked there, and the group partied there often- maybe they were "cool with" security guards or night time front desk people. Also, making all of them more familiar with the hotel.

I tried to look up both hotel locations (rosemont and ohare) that the mom and dispatcher discuss on the 911 call but it turned out to be the same location according to my quick google search.

I believe the hotel is called "crowne plaza rosemont at ohare airport". I wanted to see if one location was in the city vs the suburbs as obviously a city location would have more going on at the wee hours of the morning. It did seem like this is all one location, and the dispatcher was simply correcting the mom in saying "oh it's the Rosemont, right?" (Paraphrasing)

Does anyone know what time the hotel called the police on KJ mom which then prompted the second search? I'm sorry if this has been established. I'm really interested in trying to figure out KJ path she might have taken. Yes, the second search helps with this. There is a reason to my madness [emoji23]

According to this, it was around 6 pm (or at least between 6-10pm)

• 6 p.m. Saturday. Frustrated with the search, relatives say they begin knocking on room doors to see if any guests know anything. The hotel calls police to complain about the knocking. Martin said one of the responding officers agrees to view the surveillance video again.

• 10 p.m. Saturday. Police tell the family that Jenkins has been spotted on video from around 3:20 a.m. that day.

Just wanted to say that I'm a thicker chick too (yay curves!) and yes you better believe I know how to pose to make my body look slimmer in photos, especially mirror photos (you're literally looking into the mirror and can slightly adjust angles to look your best)

I agree this, IMO, is KJ walking through the hallways. It would be a stretch for someone else to pretend to be her, especially if they had to "fake" the sway showing that she was sooo impaired. KJ's mom would've known that wasn't her daughter and her friends/sister/people who knew her who weren't involved would immediately call that out IMO. Surely everyone who knows her well has seen these videos. They'd also likely know who was pretending to be KJ if that was the case, saying "hey that looks like so and so in kenneka's clothing"

I do have to say that I have no way of explaining how KJ's jeans were completely ripped in the mirror photo and not on surveillance. On her right thigh the fabric was no longer in tact in the mirror pic which often happens with "ripped" jeans that are in fashion right now. The white threads had pulled apart. In the video it seems the threads are held together.

This is likely our eyes playing tricks on us but id really love to hear everyone's thoughts on that. It's an inconsistency from the party pics vs. surveillance video and I have no real way to explain it. Thoughts???

I'm interested to know how often they partied here too. Surely you can become friendly with hotel workers and security if you frequent the hotel often, whether for kickbacks or visiting your friend who works there. Whether that's "friendly" in a sense of knowing the security guard will look the other way on noise complains or "friendly" in the way that they've partied together before, I don't know.

So did it take LE and hotel personal 2hrs25mins to finally locate KJ? Or is 10pm just when KJ mom was told?

ETA .... the picture is clearer looking at the entire video scene when she exits the elevator. I think what looked like something was in her hand was actually the shine of her nails. After stumbling out of the elevator it looked like something was in her hand, but after she leaned the hand against the wall and moved away, it appears to be her shiny long nails.

Of course she was mindlessly walking. She was on codeine and alcohol. God knows what else they took that the kids are too scared to admit too. She must have literally been out of her mind. Her friends obviously accompanied her to leave...decided they need to go back to the room...and left her behind only to not find her upon their return.

The guys brought the girls there to get them ****ed up and to hook up. That's what all the train talk is about. And the word 'train' does not infer rape. It just infers that it's multiple men and 1 woman. Consensual or not? How can it be consensual if everyone is doing drugs. Those are the issues here. Not phantom shadows and video editing skills not even seen by the likes of Hollywood. We should be asking why a bunch of kids were getting messed up in a hotel and what the men planned on doing. And why her friends weren't there to take care of their drunk friend.

In response to the stories changing...the girls may have said one thing before they realized their friend was dead, and then told the truth afterwards. They may not have wanted to get anyone in trouble at first. Once she was found, or had been missing for several hours, they told the truth about everything. People keep saying how she was too drunk to find her way to the basement from the 9th floor, but she wasn't on the 9th floor. She was told to wait in the lobby by her friends. She probably figured she would do some exploring...or even wanted to scare them by not being there when she came back. Alcohol makes you do weird stuff.
 
I saw that. The way she is carrying it, it looks like a lighter and/or a pack of cigarettes. This could also be why she was walking around - to try to find a place to smoke.
 
And you know that fraudulent credit card is going to get more investigative man hours than KJ.

I don't see anything in her hand. I slowed it down and then took screenshot. 1st picture her hand lays flat and then the 2nd picture it's the shine off her nails. IMO

Elevator buttons have been known to confuse me. if she pushed the LL (lowest level) button instead of L (lobby), she exited on a floor she wasn't expecting. Some I have been in have a B button for basement, others L2 (guess that is the lowest/basement level). She was already disoriented when she exited and may have been looking for stairs or elevator, and ended up in a somewhat restricted (or should have been) area.

Any criminal involvement, in my opinion, was whatever drug she may have taken (willingly or slipped to her without her knowledge), and likely not enough personnel to feel they could/should leave their post and search. I am anxious for the drug screen to come back to know what may have been in her system. If drugs contributed, what was it, who gave it to her, was she a willing user, is someone criminally liable?

She probably was looking to get back upstairs via an elevator but obviously didn't have her full capacities. And it appears from the surveillance videos that she was exhausted, lost, & under the influence.

Probably one of the best theories I've read on why she entered the freezer. I thought maybe she was looking for a restroom and had mistaken it for that somehow (highly intoxicated people, usually men, have mistaken their fridge for the nearest restroom...).
