Wake up Judge Kathyrn!

Downers Grove, IL —
Family and friends of the murdered Kristine Gilford admitted shock this afternoon when Judge Kathryn Creswell announced she would be delaying the sentencing of Kristine's killer-husband yet again.
Sentencing of Eric Gilford, who in May 2010 brutally stabbed to death his then-pregnant wife, has been moved to Tuesday morning, Creswell announced to a surprised group of family, friends and prosecutors in a DuPage County courtroom just a little after 3:30 p.m. today.
Creswell reasoned she had to review notes on court proceedings, forcing her to postpone Gilford's sentencing.

I now have a good idea why - they were shocked court was to be at 9:30 am, they waited until 1:30 to hear you say you needed more time? I pay taxes for what? Why did a family need to miss a day of work for something you already knew?

Apparently your docket was full before the case came up.

when the docket says 9;30, it should mean before lunch time. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Welcome to DuPage! Never in a million years would anyone wish to rely on justice in this county. Our tax dollars are spent to pretend nothing happens.

Judge puts off a kindergartner with the sentence of her moms brutal murder. :(

“Every birthday she celebrates will be a reminder of the day she saw the bad man stab her mother to death in front of her,” he said

A year this child has waited.

G's grandpa's testimony.

Mr. Gilford, No amount of apologies, or I am sorry will take back what you did in front of this child.

You should be ashamed and you should demand the judge not waste any more time on sentencing.

Note for Gracie.. science and math nerds rule! Make your mommy, maternal grandpa and maternal grandma proud~ XXOO

Only in and from DuPage can one be on the run, ditch their GPS, file for public aid, live in a homeless shelter, catch a White Sox game in Seattle- murder your pregnant wife and stab her umpteen times in front of her then 4 year old child on her birthday- AND kill your 20 week child..... and get leniency from a judge. :(

JUDGE KATHY can you at least consider this 5 yr old who saw not only her mommy get murdered, but her baby brother was murdered too? 20 weeks and mom chose to bring the pregnancy full term!

and NOT show leniency because Eric is a Vet. :violin::violin:
O-N-L-Y in DuPage! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

During his travels after the killing, police said, he managed to catch a White Sox game in Seattle.

Gilford, who has been held without bond since his extradition to Illinois, appeared in court unshackled and in orange jail clothes. He showed no outward emotion as the gruesome allegations were presented.

Finally!

Let the healing begin. May this little girl have nothing but happiness and good memories from here on out, please God, she's seen enough of the other to last her lifetime.

Before sentencing Eric Gilford to 100 years in prison, DuPage County Judge Kathryn Creswell on Wednesday ripped the hulking 210-pound sailor for the brutal attack that killed his estranged wife and their unborn son, but also traumatized the young girl who witnessed the slayings.

“It is impossible to imagine the anguish this young mother felt as she gasped for her last breath as her 4-year-old daughter looked on,” Creswell said.

The judge sentenced the Downers Grove man to 50 years in prison for murdering Kristine Gilford, who was about 20 weeks pregnant with a son when she was killed on May 26, 2010.

Creswell gave Gilford another 50 years in prison for intentional homicide of an unborn child.

The two sentences must be served consecutively, meaning the 32-year-old Gilford will have to serve about 92 years in prison before he can be released

I'm pleased, but this is not enough. Not with considering what this child will endure -

Eric Gilfords real sentencing/judgement will come in the next life.

Thank you Judge Creswell.
