Thanks for all your updates today while I've been at work!

I'm going to go with lagoon baby is Kyrian.
I'm thinking LE wanted family to show up because they might know something and lead the searchers in a certain direction.
 
So what DO we know?

Mom and friend are moving to Chicago and leave there toddlers with friend's dad for at least 2 weeks. Why so long?

Mom talks to him on phone but doesn't he doesn't talk back

Police say he's with an Unidentified male

Police say he's gone but not missing - is that still the current "declaration" of LE?

Why don't they just polygraph some of these people already?!

That depends on which news story you read. Here is one from the same news station that says something different

She said she was in the process of moving from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Chicago.

Was trying to figure out if bad reporting or confusion or what? There are others from different stations that say other things as well.
 
IMO Kyrian was found weeks ago, they have the dna back and mom was going to the hospital because she's not dealing with the news that her baby was cut up and dumped. I think the police have told the family not to talk until an arrest is made.

I think if that were the case she'd have shown some emotion when asked about it, rather than just saying that's not him, it doesn't look anything like him.

I know there have been conflicting reports, but I'm pretty certain Cedar Rapids is correct.
 
Does anyone know if this seems to be a normal time frame to be waiting on the DNA results?

I honestly don't know, it seems to vary so much from case to case.

I do find it a little odd that Chicago LE haven't even confirmed that baby Doe is a boy yet - they must know that now from the DNA.

In the press release, LE said that they'd done around 200 hours of interviews regarding Kyrian. But I don't think they've been actually searching for him (or have they??), and there's a lot they're keeping back from the public (the name of the man who was supposed to have had him last, for example). There doesn't seem to be a lot of publicity or searches going on, so maybe LE think it makes more sense to follow other lines of investigation such as phone records, CCTV, and interviews to find out what happened to Kyrian. Rather than actively looking for a live little boy :(

I don't know what Chicago LE are doing in regard to searches either though - most of baby Doe's body is still missing, after all :( Anyone heard that they've been searching any other areas apart from the lagoon?

Isn't it all guess work anyways? If it was up to me I'd rather go to Chicago than back to Cedar Rapids. I've been there done that, and I'm not going back again. Of course Cedar Rapids beats the h@ll out of Marion.

According to a website for a lab that does paternity tests it takes 3-5 days to get the results. This would be a priority case and IMO they have the results. If it wasn't Kyrian I think they would have announced it. If I'm right, what would be their reason for keeping it under wraps ?

Hmmm.... Actually, I can't think of any other cases where LE identified a body and then kept it a secret. Anybody else?
 
So much bickering on the help find page. It has become useless. I'm so sad. People bashing mom, mom lashing out. It's a mess. Poor baby Kyrian gets lost in the shuffle, much like he did a month ago.
I really wish the DNA tests would come back already so we know if this baby would benefit from an actual door to door search.

I realize that at 4 hrs away, it could still be kyrian, but just wondering if there were any other ties to Chicago

Yes. She said they dropped the kids off in rockford, then went to Chicago for a visit. Stopped on rockford on the way back to Iowa (date unknown) and both kids were fine. Then gets call on the 17th of sept. From LE telling her Kyrian has been reported missing by caretaker.

It was Rockford IL where Kyrian was left in the care of her best friends after KH.
