I highly doubt it would grow long enough for those twists they showed. If the picture is accurate then the twists would be about 1 inch in length if stretched out. Remember AA hair is quite densely curled.

Although the sketch could have exaggerated the length. I just pray it is not Kyrian. His sweet little face really tugs at my heart strings. He looks like a wise gentle old soul in a young baby body.

They aren't searching in Chicago. They are meeting there and traveling to Rockford together or having people meet them in Rockford.

This is the picture of Kyrian that makes me wonder about the hair. Look at the hair at his hairline. Could this be what the artist was seeing? It was mentioned that there was a great deal of decomp, perhaps the hair looked thinner and there were only random curls left?

Is it true that they haven't tested the baby found in Chicago's DNA against Lanisha's DNA? That process should take a matter of days.

This is gruesome, but at death and decomposition short hair appears to grow a lot longer, as skin recedes from the hair. I think the chances are exceptionally high that this is the same baby, also considering she hadn't seen him in over a month. His hair could have gone from short to that pointy pic. And artists get stuff wrong. Look at Baby Grace's drawing - she appears to have very thick, almost horsetail like, long hair to the small of her back. She didn't. She had very normal whispy wavy hair of a toddler.

They did take a DNA sample from Lanisha and we are just waiting now.

I'm surprised that if Kyrian was at this caretakers home, why haven't we seen pics or heard news about LE being there searching? Are people pretty tight lipped in these areas? Like they don't share anything so they aren't in it? Or have they not searched the home and that's what this search party is there to do? I hope they don't disrupt valuable evidence.

Where did you get the information that they haven't tested the baby found in Chicago's DNA against Lanisha's DNA?

Chicago detectives took a sample of Lanisha's DNA. I'm sure they will compare DNA from Lanisha's and baby's to see if there is a match.

LE would need probable cause that a crime was committed in the house or by someone that lives in that house before they could obtain a search warrant to search the house.

With the lack of information coming from either the Rockford and Chicago PD about Kyrian's disappearance or the recovery of the baby from the lagoon it sure makes me wonder if LE knows the two are connected.

The statement from LE that Kyrian was not abducted, this was not a random act and no other children are in danger tells me that LE know what happened to Kyrian and who is responsible, they just need to have a body to prove it. Once LE has proof that a crime has been committed I think the house would be searched.

The mom just said in the fb group that she won't be at the search today, because she'll be at the hospital. She said her mom and family will be there, though.

Mom's posting about it right now (so presumably she's not at the hospital?)... There are searchers there ready but the family are running late. She said they can start without them if they want. She said they had to go and get more fliers, which is why they're late.

I am getting frustrated. The family is late because they have to get fliers but the searchers who are waiting are told to go to the police station to get more fliers but to leave enough for her mom. Does this make sense?

The whole flyer thing kind of confused me because apparently you can pick up at the police station but the hold up for being there was getting more flyers? Maybe the one at the police station doesn't list the reward and that is the one they wanted to use?

It feels like Kyrian continues to be forgotten.....no more media, no word from the police, no public pleas, just nothing...
