Sorry if this is a repeat, but I don't remember seeing this yet.

"There were several FBI agents removing furniture from Christensen's apartment Saturday."

Great find SHIMMY In another interview with the neighbor who lived above Apt B2, the reporter said, "She just moved in." I have always wondered if their was a "vacant apartment" next to his. From the standpoint of not being discovered, or being heard.

I don't think that the woman he is holding hands with at the march for Yingying is his wife. There is a picture of BC and his wife in one of the articles, and while her face is pixilated out, you can see that she has very dark hair. The woman at the march with him looks like she has lighter hair. I wish that the articles would think to pixelate her face out as well. I guess people that know her would recognize her, but I'm sure its difficult to have pictures out there indicating you have what looks to be a close relationship with a man who has been arrested for the abduction of, and likely murdered, a woman.

I agree with all that.

July 5th at 3pm.

Thanks, the first hearing is on July 5th at 3 pm and sounds like it will be basically a bond hearing. He's in the custody of the US Marshalls' office for now.

On July 14th, he will have another hearing where the government will have to show probable cause.

She also says if they receive an indictment from a grand jury before July 14th, they won't need the July 14th hearing.

If BC is convicted of kidnapping, he faces up to life in prison.

If convicted of the federal kidnapping charge, Christensen faces up to life in prison, according to Sharon Paul, a spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney’s office.

Christensen will be held in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until 3 p.m. Wednesday, when a detention hearing will be held to determine bond.

A preliminary hearing was set for 10 a.m. on July 14. It would be waived if a grand jury returns an indictment before then.

From his Facebook: He posted just over a year ago that he bought a new car- a 2000 Camaro Z28 SS. I know it was 16 years old when he bought it, so it would not have the same expense as a new car purchase, but in my experience there aren't very many graduate students who have two cars of their own both due to overall expenses and parking restrictions in college areas.

This just made me wonder if he did in fact borrow the Astra from someone- the wife or a roommate, perhaps, since it was spotted in the apartment complex area.

His facebook shows a picture of him and a female standing in front of a black Astra posted in 2012.

For someone who appears to have been likely to have been fantasizing if not planning this scenario, he sure left a big, almost fishily sloppy trail of online content...I am also surprised that she has not taken fb down and that the status update was public.

I know what your saying. For me what I forget and have to check my thinking on is that first of all they don't intend or think they will get caught. So we have the luxury of looking and going "why didn't they ..." If he has been involved in this kind of stuff, dating sites, fetish sites, etc, hard to undo the past and start from a clean slate.

There's a 2012 photo posted to his FB in which he and an unidentified female are standing in front of what looks an Astra (body length, hubcaps, window shape, dash, etc.), imo.

Edit: Didn't intend to dogpile. I just saw @guruagain's post made before this one. :blushing:
