Every time I watch that PC, it brings tears to my eyes. Phew. Okay, sorry, where was I?

From theindychannel:
Delphi: Over 3k tips received since new sketch released

3,000 seems like a good number. IMHO

PS. Liked your post X 100

Thank you--the update showed since April 2019 and so did some posts. While it may not matter in some regards, 42,000 in two years versus less than a month is a big difference. I would never want it to discourage that one tipster that may have "the" tip that matters from calling in because it is thought they are overloaded with 40 some thousand tips in less than a month. It was my reason for commenting because it is being stressed to call in only real tips with certain info, etc., I do not want the right tipster discouraged by that and then add 40 some thousand of an overload in a short period of time and they may decide to not call (the right tip).

I mean I see an ex- from back when in both photos but since we are ten states away or whatever, I have not called it in because I know it is what I want and hope to see lol :p:D. (Darn it anyhow...)

I just pulled up ID on Demand and am seeing a show I seem to have missed before. I am immediately very curious:

“Killer in Plain Sight”
In Plain Sight
2018-Present
Culprits who hide in plain sight, giving interviews and posting on social media.”

Watching this show now with eyes and ears wide open!

ISP on Delphi killer: 'We believe you're hiding in plain sight'

“"Directly to the killer, who may be in this room: We believe you’re hiding in plain sight," Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said. "We've likely interviewed you or someone close to you."“

—-

(ETA: WOW what a coincidence. S2 E1, it appears it is MO, the retired FBI Agent from the HLN Panel who is narrating/commenting? It looks like her and sounds like her. Waiting for confirmation on that! If so, she sure is active in these types of things, BC/WC podcast, HLN, this...)

Could someone please reply to this comment with a link to the most recent request for vehicle or driver tips. Not the one from the April 22nd PC, and not the clarification immediately following. This would have been within the last week.

This?

May 7, 2019
“Police are still hoping for fresh tips about one piece of information released in the news conference.

"We're still looking for the car that was parked in the lot," Riley told News 18. "If somebody can give us that information, we want that information as quickly as possible."

The importance of the car also ties into why police now believe the killer is local. Riley said after reviewing many tips, investigators determined he was able to get around quickly on the day the girls were killed, and seemed to know the area.

The car would have been seen between noon and five on Feb. 13, 2017 at the old DCS parking lot, according to police. The office is on County Road 300 North near the Hoosier Heartland Highway. The building has since been demolished and the lot is vacant....”
ISP on Delphi killer: 'Somebody may have already interviewed him'

Okay. I found what I was looking for. I think this is important. On April 23rd, the multi agency task force clarified, "We are looking for anyone who could give a description of vehicles that were in the parking lot during the time." On May 7th, Riley said. We are still looking for the car that was parked in the lot." They are not looking for the driver. They NEVER said they were looking for the driver to the best of my memory and research. Carter said in the April 22nd PC that they were looking for "the owner of a vehicle." I feel like there is something to this but I'm not articulating it well.

To the best of my knowledge, LE has never asked if anyone saw the vehicle at the trail on a different day (month, time, etc). Which leads me to believe, BG wasn't there often or suspected to have been there often. If LE suspected that he had made repeated visits to the park, looking for ANY victim they would, IMO, be asking for people to place him and or the vehicle there on other occasions and they're not. IMO, while he may have had prior knowledge of the park, he was there that specific day because he knew one or both of those girls were going to be there.

I agree 110% with this!! I don’t have a suspect, and don’t think the girls were “at fault” by any means. Many motives have crossed my mind, but I don’t have a set theory...just a gut feel that this was personal, whether to them or someone close to them.Tragic either way. JMO

Other reports mention the driver of the car parked -

“Officials also announced they are looking for information about the driver of a car parked between noon and 5 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017, at the offices of the old Child Protection Services on County Road 300 North east of the Hoosier Heartland Highway.”

Sending in tips along the lines of:

"Have you considered this technique I saw on CSI?"

"Have you considered zooming in on the photo like I did on my iPhone and outlining what's in his pocket?"

"Have you considered DNA tests on everyone voluntarily in town for use in forensic genealogy?"

This list isn't exclusive, its some of the ideas I've seen referenced in these threads.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. They definitely don’t need that stuff though it’s probably about 40,000 of the 42,000 tips they’ve gotten!

BG video Frame # 48

This is the last frame, frame # 48, from the new extended ISP video. We have altogether 48 individual frames:

This is the frame IMO, that ISP based their very first publication of BG - together with the second picture) on their website. It is also possible, that they eliminated that particular frame from the video. Just IMO.

As you can see, this very first pic of BG is of better quality.

I took this initial pic of BG and eliminated the background for clarity:

Hi Nin,

My first thought during the PC when they showed BG “walking” was the moving image that you created!

Does this mean crazy people have been calling in telling Investigators how to investigate?

I’m gonna solve me this here murder

Lot of moronic people out there I guess.....

It's the Dunning-Kruger effect. Everyone thinks they're a natural born genius, and that professionals and specialists don't have any more knowledge than they do.

(Okay. Not everyone. But you get my drift.)

It’s hard to comprehend what sort of tip they are really looking for. I don’t think LE legitimately expects people to recall seeing a vehicle there after two yrs. they are looking for something much more specific. IMO, they are trying to trigger the memory of one specific person.

Just out of curiosity, did the recent press conference and the information released change anyone’s theory about this case or BG? I was aware of, but did not follow this case prior to the PC.

Edit: it’s a weird question, I know.

I can’t see this crime as being personal in any way. It is horrible to say it like this, but it really meets all of the criteria of most abduction/sexual assault/murder cases by strangers, imo. Different in that there were two victims, though not unprecedented. The fact that they were killed so soon after being taken also leads toward a stranger crime to me.

I also can’t see police using sketches if they had any idea of who they were looking for. It can be dangerous to put images out that could resemble so many people...as both of the ones in this case seem to do. I would not be surprised if people have been attacked based on resemblance to sketches at one time of another. If they had specific suspects, we would be hearing nothing from LE...they would have plenty to do working to get evidence from those nearest those people, past employers, ex-partners, etc...

It's probably not significant, but how many hundred times I've looked at some variation on this photo and this is the first time I've noticed that his hands aren't at the same level. (And I'm sure other people must have noticed and I just forgot.) His left hand appears to be in his pants pocket but the right hand is higher, like it's tucked in his waistband or resting on that pouch-looking thing or something.

That's not usually how people who walk with their hands in their pockets put their hands. The vast majority of the time, they put both hands at the same level--both hands shoved in hip pockets, both hands in jacket pockets, both hands in jeans front pockets. If he normally carries his hands that way, that would probably be something his family/friends/coworkers have noticed.

More likely his hands are there because he's holding on to a weapon or something like that.

Yeah. Seems like the poster might think they were the weapon of choice. I don't see how he could possibly hide a bow under his jacket or down his pants though.

Subconscious, I think. It is not about weapons of choice for today. It is what the kid used to play with years ago. I imagined a middle-schooler who is a loner and plays in the area above the bridge. (Because he knew it all so well). What do boys like to make? Forts. And "guns, bows and arrows" are part of forts. Perhaps, "the arrows" came into my mind because the pouch on BG's side was soft and resembled some sued-y material. I think it reminded me of the material they used for quivers, hence, arrows. No, I don't know what was his weapon of choice for the murders, I am thinking of him as a Delphi schoolkid ten or more years ago.

Again, having worked a tip line...it was amazing to me, at first, how many people call in with advice to police, investigative ideas, etc...:)

I keep wondering why the emphasis on the car itself. To recap, LE wants the car and/or a description of the car. I have run through so many situations but none make sense. Why just the car? If it had been tagged that day, they would have a description. If someone had seen a suspicious vehicle that day they would have at least reported some type of basic info.

Correct, but wasnt that before the clarification?

Possibly, aside from the building being abandoned not the car this clarification may refer to the description of the car, not the driver, assuming it’s not in addition to. What they’re looking for is quite confusing -

Their Multi-Agency Task Force provided the following points of clarification after Monday’s informational news conference:
  • A car was parked in the abandoned CPS building parking lot between the hours of noon and 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2017
    • We are looking for anyone who could give a description of vehicles that were in the parking lot during the time
  • The location of the abandoned CPS building was 6931 West 300 North, Delphi, IN
    • The building has since been demolished and the lot is vacant.
