Per The Murder Sheet's epeisode that was released today, Kegan Kline searched for the Marathon gas station in Delphi on the day of the murders.

Also the FBI was in charge of getting surveillance from various locations. They did get surveillance from this gas station, but that footage is no longer is possesion of LE. I very much recommend listening.

I still have issue with this "source" though, because it's very clear in the 2020 interview that KAK's alibi during the 2/25/17 polygraph was that he was with his dad at his grandparents' house. The whole "being in Vegas at the time of the murders" Facebook trickery didn't happen until May 2020.

I am looking at the route from Peru to the Marathon station specifically and just noticed that there are TWO Floras in IN - one adjacent to Delphi and one adjacent to Peru. Wild.

Why would KAK search for the gas station - would you stop at a gas station in town on your way to do Very Bad Things? Was LG’s house close to the gas station? Perhaps, if there *was* a meetup planned, she tried to suggest something safer.

Or maybe KAK was meeting someone else first. Though I can’t fathom why he’d meet with someone and then NOT go with that person to the trails - can anyone think of a reason he would need to hand something off in person? Burner phone maybe, but why when he’s taken no other precautions with his devices.

Meeting to go with someone? (Like JBC.)

But if he or whomever searched that (can the source CONFIRM that it was KAK and not TK?), why not go straight to the trails? And if you searched the gas station just to be elusive, why not just pull Delphi up on a map like I just did and zoom in instead of searching for a specific gas station?

And if KAK or TK stopped at that Marathon station on 2/13, even though the FBI messed up with this particular footage, I would assume footage from other businesses in the immediate area (like the banks right down the street) could possibly at least determine if one of their known vehicles drove by, but that’s assuming a lot.

I just finished listening to to the Murder Sheet podcast too.

The gas station is not located in a place convenient for folks driving in from out of town, like at an exit off the Hoosier Heartland Hwy. My first thought too was perhaps a meet up with a more local person or someone else coming in from elsewhere. My first thought was JBC.
I figured KAK was searching for someone up near Peru, not necessarily KAK himself, that was going to be going to meet this person before going to the trails.

MOO, before KAK & the a_shots account were released to the public I thought that BG was a serial killer, having been responsible for the Evansdale murders. Now I’m not 100% convinced that BG is a serial killer and/or connected to The Evansdale murders.

I’d really like to know how y’all feel about this.

I took this to mean that DC was trying to imply that BG could literally be anybody. That BG had everyone fooled because of how he may appear outwardly. IMO, this is why DC said that BG was living in plain sight.

Just to answer, Libby’s grandparent’s house is nowhere near the gas station. They live in the rural area north of the trails.

well I do believe the same person murdered Lyric and Elizabeth in Evansdale..I do believe that crime went much more as planned and he was able to disappear..maybe he thought they would be found much sooner than had they been maybe there was staging but too much time has passed.

this one seemed to really invite attention..again though I think for photos the killer wanted etc..it could be all went exactly to plan, but the scene is a bit chaotic with clothing strewn in the river etc...in a way feels like a set up and two or 3 people committing this crime..so maybe this crime scene reflects showing off of murderous prowess..

Seeing that you do believe the same person murdered Lyric and Elizabeth as well as Abby and Libby, do you feel that in the killer’s botched and fubar(r = repair, not recognition) mind that he needed to have a set (two girls) in order to fulfill his sexual fantasies? Or do you think that was by chance?
If I was looking at it from that standpoint I would see that he wanted two girl which could be a big factor as to why there was such a long cooling off. MOO.

KAK wanted people to believe he criss crossed the country for months on end, but never
spent time/or been to Delphi, literally six miles from Young America. The stack is getting higher and higher, huh?

When I first saw the location of that Marathon station in Delphi, I, like everyone else, thought that there had to be a specific reason one would have had to search it. When I looked at it on Google, I saw it has a Noble Roman's pizza in it. I don't know if that was there in 2017, but thinking back to the vehicle parked in the CPS lot from noon to 5pm, my first inclination was KAK (or whoever) wanted that particular pizza for lunch while he waited around Delphi. At least one other Marathon in Kokomo also serves Noble Ramon pizza.

Or maybe I've just proven my simple-mindedness.
