I think that's what happened. I think many people, but especially kids their age, wouldn't think to run in separate directions.

You also have the possibility they froze, or he tricked them into compliance and did this too fast for them to react.

Years ago,when young, my friend and I went on a long bike ride.
I was in front,and stopped by 2 guys, in a car, pointing a gun at me.
My friend, turned, and rode away.
They laughed, squirted me with the toy, and drove away.
I never spoke to that ex 'friend again.
 
Idk…something feels weird about this. It definitely appears to be him, not debating that. Just some random facts swirling in my head that I haven’t connected yet as I try to make sense of this:

5’4” would make a man noticeable imo. That’s well below the average 5’9-10” male. It would be easy to recognize him somewhere other than his job and think “oh that’s the short guy from CVS”

This guy was not hiding. GH showed pics of him regularly out at bars, restaurants, amusement parks, even traveling to other states. He had a customer facing job, where he regularly spoke to known and unknown customers, probably in person or on the phone, 2 miles from this horrific crime that people have been talking about for years.

*IF* the witnesses who saw BG were young adults, they could possibly be in the same age range as RMA’s kids. In 2007 they might have been around 20-24 years old, possibly in college, possibly working, possibly stay at home moms, etc, with perfectly legit reasons to be hiking on a nice Monday afternoon. Some of them have been getting prescriptions filled for the last 5.5 years at the pharmacy where where RMA works. Some of them might be friends with his kids and probably knew him by name as Mr. Allen, so-and-so’s dad. Some might have recognized him as the little guy from the pharmacy.

There’s currently 450 students at Delphi High school, let’s assume there was a similar number 10 years ago.

Delphi’s population is approximately 3,000 people. Say half are male and half of those are adults. 750 adult men or say 1000 adult men if we’re generous.

For years we were told BG’s eye color was unknown but definitely not blue. Yet RMA has strikingly bright blue eyes.

I just expected someone much less visible to the public. Maybe with a job that kept him working alone or with a small group of people or driving a truck. Someone who spent his weekends at dark seedy bars, not out to large family events and frequent date nights with spouse and friends.

I’m not victim shaming, and from what we know so far his wife, children and extended family are also victims, but how did no one see the pics, video or hear the DTH and not be shocked that it’s him?? And sure some people might have had suspicions or been afraid but ALLLLLL of the people who interacted with him daily for the last 5 years? His name never came up publically, on SM, anywhere? I know we aren’t privy to what or who was reported but what a shame if he was and it took this long to get him.

I’m feeling a little deflated right now. Moo

I have long said this guy is short with Tiny feet..that rules out a ton of people..thats why JBC was so close..he is not very tall and also has small feet.. they had the height right when they did their analysis of the footage.

Because he was hiding in plain sight.

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

It would be interesting to know if there had been any recent upheaval in his personal life. Separation, divorce etc.

Karla Homolka ratted out Paul Bernardo after he beat her up so bad she feared for her life. Not that she wasn’t complicit but that was the deed that made her talk.

Who knows. Something similar?

Woohoo, Wow, yes today is the day I thought might never come. I am overjoyed that LE has made an arrest and that RA is going to be held responsible for A & L's deaths.

Of course I dying to know the details, but my thoughts and prayers go out to Abby and Libby's families during this time. I cannot imagine how they are feeling with this news. Maybe the very first step towards healing can begin.

Now that I'm hearing about an arrest, I'm having the same questions. I know they are saying an arrest in ''connection with the murders', but I'm wondering what we will learn on Monday. Although LE never said they arrested RL in connection with the murders, we've learned from the search warrant released in the last year that is exactly what LE had on their minds.

Has it been confirmed he works at CVS as a pharmacist? I‘d have great pity for any Delphi innocent who just happens to have the same common name.

My understanding is that he is only confirmed to have worked at the CVS. He does have an active pharmacy tech license but the specific position and duties has not been released.

I don't believe that is too far fetched. After all, we've never heard of any witnesses who saw the girls that day. So why couldn't it be possible no one really saw the killer?

Not confirmed, but it does seem pretty solid. I'm sure the media is digging into his background, and we'll start hearing more about him in the coming hours and days.

Or was his place of residence searched? Was a search warrant involved? Items, trophies, clothing linking him to the murders.
What about a vehicle? Can't remember if a vehicle was involved.
Toxicology? if this guy works in a pharmacy?
Computer activity, online searches etc?

Agreed regarding that LE should have dna --- most likely the perp's.
It hasn't been revealed as far as I know if there was SA; but if this happened, there'd be that evidence and everything they might have that should be enough to put him away for life.
Just sorry it's taken this long, for the girl's families.

Rest in peace, angels. Justice is coming soon !
 
Wow....finally.
After all these years. I've never stopped lurking and checking on this case and currently watching the wagnor trial and this news pops up.
I hope this is the right guy and that these families and both girls can get some justice.
Monday is a long time to wait for more news
