Actually, if you look back in the thread where the two pics are side by side, you will see that that "ridge" is on one side in one pic and the opposite side in the other pic.
Its quite possible it is a shading or light thing

In the 16 minute video press conference on this page, I just don't get any indication that they are concerned with the public using these trails. Comments such as "we will just be more vigilant" do not indicate a murderer is out there to fear. Am I the only one concerned with what seems a lack of urgency?

It might be because the girls sought this person out. They most likely met over the internet and doesn't even live in the area imo

This is awful beyond belief.

Outwardly, the person of interest seems dressed like a local ( he is wearing arguably farm clothes or work clothes) and the area has working farms and probably also has agricultural based business like irrigation supply, grain elevators, and tractor dealers.

At the same time, he looks over dressed for warmth as I dont think it has been bitterly cold. For example, he seem to be wearing a jacket, a sweatshirt, a flannel shirt, and possibly an additional shirt or some sort. All of this is in addition to thick hat that seems to have ear flaps.

Though his clothing could imply somebody working in construction that keeps layered clothing and either adds or removes clothing depending on the weather, it could also imply a drifter who wears his entire wardrobe. A construction worker would probably just keep the extra clothes in his car or truck. A drifter, however, would not have this option.

Does anybody know how cold it was that day?

I don't remember exactly, but I had heat off and windows opened so atleast 60. It's been unseasonably warm here.

There seems to be a walking trail starting behind the man in picture. Looks like a well walked area. Anyone else see the trail? Wonder if the girls were hiking there when they were attacked and not brought there. If they WERE brought there, the fact that there is a trail speaks to me that the suspect was familiar with area. Not just a random section of woods. You can see a dog on it at bottom right of picture

I don't see the "blue" in the original releases. If you compare multiple pictures, you can see it's only in the pic that's been zoomed in from the original. Unless I'm missing something...

Going through Liberty's face book. She looks so much like her sisters and mother. How sad. These girls had age appropriate fb and both looked like regular, sweet kids. No makeup, no fake nails or skimpy clothing. I'm really not getting a catfishing vibe here. I'm getting a feeling this one will hit close to home and be really hard on this small community.

I thought the same exact thing, and Liberty (and her sisters) look so much like girls in a family I know. They are also sporty down to earth girls, not the kind that live life in a risky way. It's terrifying that we can't trust that our children are safe anywhere unless they are within our sight 24/7.

Yes, I definitely see the trail. It could be from hikers, or since it's private property (right?), deer.

I don't find this to be particularly "rough terrain." Looks like exactly the type of terrain girls who like hiking would like to be.

The brown item below his waist on the right side looks like a fanny pack. It is only on the right hand side which would make for easy access for a right handed person. Also, it looks like he has something stuffed in the front of his jacket.

Could it be a purse? I freaked myself out, I was looking at how his feet were positioned to get an idea of his gait. In the picture with the one foot high stepping looks like he has his foot on something and it's super imposed, his image, on the bridge. We don't even know if he/her are responsible for the crime. I played a possible scenario in my mind after they showed where the body was found and it was highly possible and very frightening. There was an offender from Indianapolis that was arrested in Idaho, something about a 14yr old girl he met online. Kinda has a baby face. I think the person in the photos has false teeth or missing teeth. The pants appear rather long and possibly square toed cowboy boots. Usually older guys or those guys that wear the waistline really low. His hips seem broader than his shoulders.

He does look like he is dressed like a local farmer or worker. But I never knew any of my farming relatives to go for a 'day hike'--unless they were out hunting. :wink:

Since those two still images of this "person of interest" are so carppy as far as pixelation goes, and they are still shots of a video, it would make a heck of a lot more sense to release even a short clip of the video itself. It'd be a lot easier for someone to identify this guy (if in fact he's a local) if they could see him actually walking. As it is, he pretty much looks like Any Man.

This kind of statement always raises my suspicion that they may have a potential suspect in mind:

No, I think that's just the standard comment from LE to keep the public from panicking.
In most all of the horrible cases LE use this comment and we are like WTH? And, as we find out later, there are no suspects either.
