I believe I recall a local posting that familial DNA isn't allowed in IN. Does anyone else recall this?

Not sure if you guys have teens like I do, but they run out of data, bills are expensive and don't get paid, wifi is used a lot, etc. There could be a host of reasons why pings would be off, video bad (connection bad), etc.

Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee and team owner Jim Irsay are nearly doubling the reward for information leading to an arrest of the perpetrator. The amount was increased to $200,000 for tips about the killings.

"The only people that are really going to know who this is, is somebody who’s had a long relationship with this person, whether it's family or friends or something like that, and they're probably struggling with loyalty right now,” McAfee said today on “Good Morning America” of someone who might know the killer. “But this is a horrible person."

“It’s time to do the right thing, turn yourself in, we’ll work this out but if you’re not going to do the right thing, rest assured there’s a host of police officers working very hard to find you and we will find you,” said Sgt. Tony Slocum, Indiana State Police.

I do recall this discussion and no, it is not allowed in Indiana. I had asked about whether familial DNA can be run on a federal level but I skipped a few pages back then and do not know if it was answered.

I think the family searched all night. I think LE assumed mistakenly that this was a couple of teens doing teenagery things. I am very pro-LE but that is the only reason I can come up with that they called off the search the night of the 13th. They didn't go into homicide mode right away thinking the girls would turn up unharmed. Just a thought.

Here he says perfect strangers called off work and searched all night? There were clothes in the creek and no one saw that? Wouldn't the water be the first place someone would look? I'm just trying to understand when the girls didnt show up the police were called. The police did not do a full search until the next day. The family searched all night, with neighbors, coworkers and strangers? I thought this search with these people happened the next day? Someone help me

They are gaining on the credible tip/evidence side of things is my guess. For example in the Iowa case so many think is similar, they found new evidence years later. Now, it may have just been hunters, etc., but they found a knife stuck in a tree at one point I believe. I imagine they're leaving no stone unturned in going back to a database where other evidence was found and doing the circles to make sure everything is thought of. IMO

I don't believe we have all the facts. I agree it doesn't make sense. Simple phone GPS alone. Perhaps they didn't have share location on the phone... O/T any parents reading this have your kids share their location indefinitely ! I can check all my kids locations at any time and it's within 50ft of their location! I'm not a helicopter parent however it allows my kids to have more freedom and me not sprouting grey hair every time they leave the house.

Totally agree, My kids will never have an Iphone with out having Mspy app on it. Allow me to track their exact GPS location from my i phone. I'll be damned if they are going to lie and say we are going to a movie and then be two towns over. Personally I think every parent should have this, I know some will say how can you not trust your children like that, To answer this. I always tell my kids that as long as I pay for that phone and phone bill, Its my right to know where that phone is lol

I wonder where they recovered the phone if Liberty's clothes were in the water. Evidently the phone was not. Maybe she dropped it fighting. Maybe that is why he did not erase phone. He didn't know where it was and did not have time to look for it...

Many post have questioned when the results of the DNA would be back. This got me thinking that the LE may well have those results now & nothing matched with the database so they are now waiting on results of the more recent DNA submitted by POI, for example Chrysler guys DNA.

I know I read they put the DNA in to be tested Feb. 23rd - and they said they'd put a "rush" on it. So it should be back by now!

Also - Is this something "new" new? Please link something about this Chyrsler guy!

Also - do they have the phone pings from the recovered phone? or am I thinking of some other case?

Also - no MOD??
