I think they might also.

Getting their ducks in a row.

Some forensics or technical information must have been confirmed today.

I so want to believe this. And I do until I start wondering why they haven't arrested him yet. Surely there is enough circumstantial evidence to warrant questioning him and/or arresting him? Even if it's unrelated. Hasn't he ever ran a red light or forgotten to pay a speeding ticket?

How long after an arrest can LE hold someone before they have to charge them?

Has anyone seen this report from the Monicello newspaper the Herald Journal from Feb. 17th?

http://www.newsbug.info/monticello_...cle_174b8930-f583-11e6-94ec-d314d7e35148.html

IMO, if this report is true, then it must mean that LE did collect DNA from the crime scene, correct? Why else would they be taking voluntary samples of DNA from "persons of interest." They would have to have something to compare the voluntary samples to........eliminate suspects or confirm a suspect. This is the only link that I've seen this information, so it may not be true.

Maybe it's been discussed already..........

I've not heard about a car being searched before either.

I believe they are referring to the white car noted in some of the pictures of either the property owner or the 1st public search warrant. I can find citation as needed.

Edit: I see that exact picture I was referring to was posted a few post above.

This is the first I'm hearing of a car....did I miss it before?

"Police found the girls' bodies on a property nearby the following day. They searched it and a car on it (above) afterwards but none of those who live there are suspected of killing the pair"

I think the reporter is confusing the property where they were found with the property where the first search warrant was served. Iirc, there were several cars and other buildings on the property that were photographed.

Ugh I hate this. Patiently waiting for CBS4 in Indianapolis to post the info they supposedly shared on their evening news tonight about the presser tomorrow...

I'm confused. Catching up and one tweet says they are making progress and another statement from an investigator states nothing new.

Hoping the is SQUIRMING tonight.....LE is SO onto him!!!

Hi Everyone,

In case you haven't seen the videos made by our member "grayhuze" here they are all in one place.

I would highly recommend you watch these videos if you haven't already.

You get the full sense of how it must have been for Abby and Libby in addition to helping you understand the crime scene.

"DELPHI, Ind.– The FBI is putting together a suspect profile to help find the killer of two teen girls in Delphi.

Police say they’re getting closer to finding the suspect, who they believe could be a local resident.

The FBI profile currently in the works will give police a better idea of who they’re looking for. Behavioral analysts can identify certain personality, behavioral and lifestyle traits the suspect would have."

DNA should not take three weeks. I have seen cases here where they had results in 2-3 days.

This is true, although, think about how many DNA samples they had to check due to the search party. Think about how long it took to acquire DNA samples from family members and everyone involved including Sex Offenders from around the area.

FBI investigators working to put together profile of suspect in #Delphi murders:

I'm confused. Catching up and one tweet says they are making progress and another statement from an investigator states nothing new.

To me it sounds like one reporter has been getting information that others have not? IMO. Why would that be?

Indiana State Police superintendent Doug Carter says they have several pieces and parts but they are looking for the one piece of evidence that will crack the case.

“I know that we have the human element – we have a very solid science element,” he said. “We are using every capable process that we have from a scientific perspective as everyone would expect us to, and we will continue to do that until there is nothing left to do. does that include DNA? It does. We have not ruled out the possibility that it is a local person. Every time we clear somebody it gets us closer. We are confident that somewhere in the tips we have valuable information and every time we can eliminate one we can move on to the next.”

I don't think the phone was in her pocket. If it was in her pocket how would LE know BG "at least participated" in the murders? From voice alone they don't know, as they said they are not sure it is his voice they heard. Therefore, they must have seen him "at least participating" in the murders, and the phone was not concealed.

Or, something that he was seen with in the video was found at the scene of the crime. I always told my children to "take evidence" if anyone ever grabs them. I have told them to scratch, pull hair, and rip clothing.

I personally believe they have no suspects. If they were onto someone, they wouldn't need to create a profile. I just get the sense from the way they're talking that they have very little to go on at the moment. JMO, and hope I'm wrong.
