My iPhone is not a GPS

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All cell phones are required by law to have a GPS receiver in them. Been that way since the mid to late 1990's. This requirement is so that 911 can locate cell phones. The phone sends its last GPS position, amongst other information, when the phone is in contact with the cell tower. If for some reason the phone is not able to receive from two satellites it will use the information from the radio signal to determine it's location.

So, technically, every cell phone is a GPS device.

Sure thing... does anyone know how to delete it? If not, can anyone with the power to do so, delete it for me? Kind of brand new on here.

If you alert the post by clicking on the little triangle on the lower left, give a short explanation if you wish, A mod will help you out

You should still see an edit button at the bottom of your post. Click and there is an option to delete. If it's too late, click the red triangle and ask a mod to delete it, while apologizing for posting it. :)

Nothing from McAdams this am?

Come on, girlfriend, get on it!

I was just adding that local news media is aware of the rumors circulating and is aware of the silence from LE on the RL story. I didn't post the pictures and I didn't say it was okay to.

I think that's interesting information.

Hi! Welcome to WS! I've been here for like 9 years and I still sometimes post things and then need to delete them [emoji23] - you can edit the post and remove the pic and text and just say "removed" or something like that. Also a mod may take it down faster than you'd have a chance to.

I try to read the first page of the thread periodically to remember what can and can't be discussed - good refresher here and there. Keep posting! WS is a great group of folks - lots of new members in this thread, compared to the majority of others imo

I don't know how to post an image by jpeg. But if you search this term "Amber Suede Fanny Pack Vintage 80s Small Brown Waist Bag Belt Pouch Mens Womens Festival Wallet Tote Bag 1980s Handbag" you will see a fanny pack of the same color and perceived dimensions. The logo is imprinted into the material. It has a zipper seemingly where his hand is.

Select "Edit" and within that box, select "Delete". TIA.

http://fox59.com/2017/03/13/police-...est-a-month-into-delphi-murder-investigation/

To me, this statement is telling. It seems that they are looking for a very specific piece of information and I don't know what that could be, beyond a confession.

If they don't have "the" tip after a month and 13,000 tips, a photo, a voice, 6,000 billboards then I losing faith that they will get it.

I am disappointed that they didn't come out and say RL has nothing to do with the murders as they did for the first guy.

From the article:
"Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter told FOX59 News that he thinks the clue to solve the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German is not yet among the more than 13,000 tips that an FBI database sifts through around the clock in order to give Delphi investigators a solid lead in the hunt for their suspect."

If the police are still searching for "THE tip" and they have 13,000 with no hint of what they need, then they need to release some more information, additional video or audio or something. This is getting maddening. I'm not saying they have to give the public much, but surely in the mountain of info they have, there's something that doesn't jeopardize the case too significantly. IMOO.

Seems a tweet of 'Logan was arrested on charges unrelated to the murder investigation and is not considered a suspect' would be forthcoming. But :::crickets::: leads people to speculate.

I wonder how many employers reported an employee out of work those days or day?

I expect that we can discuss the logo itself and leave the sleuthing individuals out of it....such as not searching FB pages looking for someone wearing the logo. At least that makes sense to me. :) So, for the record I'll say that I'm not seeing what Nin is seeing, but there was a LOT I didn't see...the poodle, the bicycle under the bridge to name two of many images that didn't click for me. But if the images Nin has posted are what is needed for someone to make a connection to someone they know who fits the description, that's what matters.

Hi all. Still catching up, so apologies if we're past the whole geocaching thing now. Just wanted to share some thoughts - almost every case I've followed on here that took place in a rural area, someone inevitably brings up geocaching. The reality is, not one of these cases (of those that were solved) have ended up being related to geocaching. Nor can I think of any crimes in the media that involved geocaching. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but it's unlikely. If our perp WAS into geocaching, I don't think he'd be out committing a crime with a pin out in the open to reflect it. This is a guy who, from the pictures, tried pretty hard to disguise himself...hat pulled way down, baggy clothes, no visible logos, possibly a hood. Personally, I think the geocaching angle is a dead end. JMO.

Shadows on a 2D still image can play tricks on our eyes. LE has the full video so I'm certain they see more detail as the BG moves closer. IMO, it looks like a squarish fanny pack in one pic and a long shirt in the other. I think that is just shadowing from the fanny pack. I found a rust colored suede fanny pack on etsy that's wide, would cover a large area across and the same color. If something was inside, it would appear squarish, if that object was removed it would flatten out and cover a large area of midsection. Just a thought.

BBM..I'm familiar with the kind you're talking about and I can see the possibility of it being something like that. I guess it could be he doesn't even have a brown shirt on, like I've been thinking. Instead that could be what the entire brownish area is around his waste in both pics and not his shirt tail at all.

Thanks. Is there a link to anything that shows the hearing? I am assuming it it a hearing for the probation violation?

GGE explains in more detail in the post after mine. The link is buried somewhere in the thread last night I think.

What i have been trying to say. Anyone on that bridge was trespassing. I really don't thinks cxs would assume responsibily. And from maps i have seen other then cxs right of way it's private property around that. Jmo

This is what i have been saying/suggesting, as far as i have seen it is not a part of the trail, no way no how would cxs allow ppl to walk that bridge without being liable. And from looking at the maps all property other then the cxs right of way it is private. Just like the well worn path behind the cemetary to the creek, obvious that ppl have walked there yet it is private property.

When living down south, NC,VA signs were not required, (not all could read) fences were a way of saying private property. Even with the t post at both ends of the abandoned rr

OK... I'm going to go out on a limb, without having enough information

This could be now/in future major civil lawsuit material ... just sayin'.

Heck, where I live, you have to enclose a pool with a fence... or you can be liable.

:fence:

Just want to apologise for posting that side by side picture a few minutes ago. Came across it on twitter, and the mind got the better of me... well, because it's very striking in terms of build, roughly same height, weight, stance etc. That as well as the fact that nobody is willing to come out and defend his innocence. Seems very fishy to me.

We all have made and continue to make mistakes.
Don't worry about it.

I am not good with photos, I never see what others do.
Put any number of men in a bulky winter coat , they mostly look the same to me.
The other guy, looks older than BG to me

JMO

I sure do wish they'd have an update on the case. I need to get rid of these flutterflies.

If the link doesn't show up.....mycase.IN.gov is a good place to start. That will show all the info on the case.

https://public.courts.in.gov/mycase/#/vw/Search

Also VINELink will show if an offender is in jail. Not all counties in every state participate, but most do. It won't go into specifics though.

It is very odd. Wonder what they are waiting for?
