When LE says people LIED about their alibis, that wakes me the heck up for sure.

I feel the same!! Reading that gave me goosebumps and chills of hope...haven't felt this optimistic since the release of the photo. This is a good sign, I think. Mooooo

I do keep thinking they were taken elsewhere then returned. MOO

I am excited about this news report.

It is my opinion that I had someone tell me this yesterday but it was hard to believe. But now that LE is going back over alibis we will see.

Nice work IndyCindy on calling this weeks ago.

Let's hope that this will come to an end soon and we can get this behind bars.

Just a theory of course. Sometimes the closest to home or the area, or those that regularly visit the area...worth a revist by LE or a fresh set of eyes.

Huge fan of Occam's razor over here. 99% of the time, the simplest explanation is the right one. I've seen other cases where people launched into massive conspiracy theories, sex trafficking etc..yet the real cause was a simple car accident, or the boyfriend was the assailant, etc. Look close to home, and as I've learned, keep it simple. JMO of course

The news did not say the details. I think BG is chubbier? But one month passed he could lose significant weight under pressure or intentionally lose weight. The thing weird is that he tried to suicide. If he just download child *advertiser censored* stuff, even it is a felony, I don't think people will commit suicide when police just to try to hold you. So maybe he is the guy!!! Other wise, he did something equally bad as the murder.

I think it's impossible to know if the battery died or they were turned off. I've seen comments that Abby also had a phone and so far as we know it has not been found. We may never know how it was that he didn't take or destroy Libby's phone. Or how it was found. But I believe it was based on the way it's been reported.

i don't believe that LE has said that they have the physical phone.

I agree. I'm a little confused about all the excitement in this thread right now. Is everyone thinking the Fort Wayne guy is the perp?

The Ft. Wayne guy has been on their radar since September. Wouldn't he have been checked out before this?
I'm not seeing what the frenzy is all about. They already knew about this guy.

I'm glad to hear that. I have heard before in this type of crime that suspects and LE usually cross paths within first 2 weeks of the crime. Here's hoping.

This may very well be reporters taking liberties....but I find it VERY interesting that at 1:26 in the video/article I linked below that the reporter states that the voice from the phone IS the man in the photo: "authorities confirming to abc news that that voice belonged to the man seen in this still image".

This is the first I have heard of anyone confirming that the voice and then man were one in the same. I lean towards the "one perp" idea, but I do recall a lot of posts regarding the fact that LE was NOT linking the voice to the man indefinitely and leaving room for a possible accomplice. Anyone else think this is legitimate, or poor reporting from abc?

I have done a mock up of where I think Abby fishing picture was taken if we are to assume that that is the Monon HIgh Bridge in the background.

Upfront, I cannot account for the wires over her head but they might be there and we just cannot see them, IDK.

Based on the width of the water (that is the widest spot that still keeps the bridge at that angle), the distance and angle of the bridge, the light tree branches over head, the slight curve of the land, and the sunlight (looked through many photos to verify that the sun does shine in this direction and cast a shadow the way it is in this picture) this is where I am placing that picture.

If you can enlarge the photo you will see that that reddish tree has slight wispy branches hanging a little over the water.

The girls were found around the corner so it is not the same spot.

Feel free to shoot a million holes in my theory!:shame:

That's horrible. I'm not downplaying the disgusting nature of his crimes. I just didn't really see the resemblance. Anyway, I'm glad he's locked up.

Wow! I heard about this but had not seen the guy's photo until now. There is a remarkable resemblance for sure!

This really disgusts me. I have a fond place in my heart for the children of Ukraine. There are thousands of orphans there and they are targeted by traffickers and pornographers. I personally know dozens of orphans in Ukraine. Every single one of them will attest to being fearful of being taken by traffickers. They age out of their orphanages at the age of 16. Statistics indicate that up to 60% will go into prostitution within the next year. Kind of off topic, but something that weighs on my heart.

Well it all depends. There are people who do feel shame about their crimes. You just never know If it was about what he was looking at on his computer. ...or something else. I would say he was not entirely dissimilar to the image of the perpetrator so you just never know. I actually hate not to sound like a Miss Marple wannabe but I do have a list of suspects (I think we all do on here )..and not ruling anything out at this time
