Everyone wants justice for this horrendous crime of these young girls. I think and pray for them and their families daily.
Can I ask what is the story behind RL giving LE a statement that he was at a tropical fish store? Does he in fact have a fish tank? Grandkids maybe that have one?

I just had a weird memory. I was at a park with my kids when they were little. A man came up to us with a fish in his hand - a fish that you would keep in a tank, not a fish from a pond or river. He then said he had some more fish for us to look at in his van in the parking lot. Um....no thanks.

Not saying that RL was walking around the trail with a fish in his hand, but could tropical fish be something he or someone else would invite the girls to see? TOTAL SPECULATION, NOT FACT. Thinking aloud, brainstorming.

Hi guys, I'm going to be that poster (sorry!). I have been gone the entire day and missed almost a whole thread.

I don't see any new MSM articles when I google. Is there any new news today or anything important I missed?

TIA!

*crickets*, baby, *crickets*

Is that portentous?

What I find most intersting is everyone's connection to their "devices" Scary!!

It does seem that some people (not speaking about anyone here on WS) are obsessed with their phones. I forgot mine at home once and all day at work I felt naked without it! Or like I forgot my left arm at home.

That said, it's *because* of Libby's attachment (?) or affinity (?) for her phone that we have a substantial clue. MOO

Can you please provide a link for the search warrant being 'vague'? I am very interested to read more because everything I've read has LE stating either that it's sealed, or they decline to give details about it. So I'm super curious as to how you know that the warrant is 'vague' and why a judge first signed, then allowed a search to be carried out if it is 'vague'.

They are following up on 13,000 tips. This takes time. Give LE some credit here.

Fruity..it was stated by le that the warrant was for the property. Nothing specifically mentioned.

I don't think that RL is capable of this crime.. he is too old. The LE have stated that the BG looks to be Middle Aged, not a 75 year old man. He gave an interview in the beginning because that's what I think any normal person would do. If he isn't cooperating as much as before, I am sure it's because his lawyer has advised him not to. Just look what people are doing and saying now! If you do a search on this case, his picture and name come up everywhere! I'd be devastated if this were my Grandpa!
I think there is a strong possibility somebody trespassed and maybe it was someone he knew, but doesn't know who it was. It could be a relative, or a close friend of his.. I don't think this was pre-planned. I think someone was on his property that day and it went from there. But there is no way I believe RL did this. JMO
i don't think LE has assigned any age, or age group, to BG. That could possibly deter from someone reporting someone 20 or someone 70 because they were not "middle age".

I am astonished that some can't see how BG could be RL from the side by side pics and audio, it is so clear to me. I am also amazed that it's possible to consider every unlikely, convoluted, hypothetical scenario yet be adamant that a 77 year old who is in custody, with his property being searched through probable cause couldn't have done it. Currently everything LE have provided to the public points to RL.

I don't think the two body shapes look alike at all.

It's entirely possible the perp used the property - and perhaps the buildings - without any knowledge of RL. (At this point, with what we know now, that's what I suspect happened.)

Stating that le is grasping for straws is in no way not giving them credit. <modsnip> I stated they do not have enough evidence to arrest someone or they would have by now. Hopefully the evidence they need pops up soon.

Such a sad case. Three decades ago, I believe. AND, they have definite dna from her case. Why haven't they caught this murderer? He may be dead by now, but it's stated he's probably 50 or 60 by now? May be dead? With that much dna, I can't understand, unless he is dead. Here is a link to the story.

I know. It's such a hard crime to fathom. They even have the DNA but can't match a suspect. It was in Indiana so I understand sleuthing it in relation to the Delphi girls while we wait to see what is going on with RL's property.

I'm right handed and always hold a phone to my left ear. Always.
A left-handed person with one-sided hearing loss might hold their mobile with their right hand to their right ear.

I tend to hold my mobile with my non-dominant hand just to free my writing hand to write.

____________
The above is just my opinion.

What looks so right on to me is that hat and the dimple on top. The same.

All I have to say about this is that I hope I don't ever live in a country where a person can be convicted of murder based on the sunken spot of a ball cap.

Not sure I can tell one way or the other if the voices match. The first time I listened to the "down the hill" snip, I did notice the clear and very well articulated "l" sound on "hill." Need a speech language pathologist to take a listen!

If RL has lived there for 53 years, wouldn't you think the locals would recognize him and his voice by now? Even the LE, whom have had numerous run ins with him- they don't recognize Him from the image. Nobody that lives in Delphi is screaming "that's him!" Which I find odd.. I do lean towards someone being on his property and LE had some probable cause to research everything.
The reporting on this case is off.. why isn't any news stations reporting that LE has finished the search or they are still out there, etc..?
This is the part I am conflicted on. If RL does know BG in whatever way, there should be a good chance other town people would, too.

It seems to look like in the photos that he has a darker colored mustache and LE has not commented on a lot of stuff about BG
I see a mustache. Im certain on it. Could well be shadow though its so grainy

Who's convicting someone?

If they had any solid evidence they would have made an accusation and an arrest by now. RL is the first straw they are grasping at. They are searching his house with a vague warrant and they hauled his truck away with evidence seals. Once he is cleared they will do this to the next lucky person on the suspect list.

" Vague warrant"? Many time search warrants are for specific items such as a computer, a cellphone, a car. From what I see and hear being reported this is VERY broad! From video we can tell the warrant included the seizure of his truck as well as search and removal from his home!

And I didn't even mention the part that the man with the fish in his hand looked exactly like a troll. Not kidding - he did look like one!

But as weird as that story is, it's not as weird as two girls being murdered. What was the lure the perp used to control them? I don't think he lunged at them, but lured them. Well, maybe it was tropical fish.

Again, this is speculation, not really a theory....just thinking about how the perp got them secluded and in his control.

Correct. Its all in how the request for the warrant was articulated. Ie the difference between asking to look for a 6" knife that is 1" in width with a serated blade and asking to look for "a knife". If the warrant allowed le to walk out with many boxes of potential evidence and haul away a truck then i would say it was articulated in a way to make it vague.
