He has a college degree per his court hearings

On topic? Off? At least as it relates to sleuthing, in my observation, use of vocabulary and clarity of communication can be completely unrelated to education or income levels, age, geography, or urban/rural status. In my personal opinion, it is possibly a "sign of our times," but the truth is, it's probably always been that way. We just hear more from each other a lot more often, than at any other time in human history. Obviously *just* my opinion.

Definitely they are searching there for something specific and it may be something RL doesn't know anything about. He had called LE to his property in 2014 because someone was in one of his out buildings. They fled before LE arrived. But why lock him up to search? They could have done the same search with him there. I know he violated probation. But I think the timing all went down in an orchestrated manner to get him off the property for the search.

Great post ocgrad !

What I feel about this search and others is that the authorities are turning over every single stone. I have great faith in all of the law enforcement agencies working on this and I acknowledge their compassion and dedication.. I know that they are driven to find whoever is responsible for this. I believe it's only a matter of time and they will.

Interesting--he says "ON your own house, your own home."

(And I'm with you regarding not seeing him as a suspect without more definitive evidence. I know better than to trust my feelings, but that is my currently feeling, based on what we have seen so far. JMO)

THANK YOU!
Glad to see you can't trust what any MSM article says!
Big diff between "on" and "in"!

Although.... it might be meaningless, but one of the news articles that I came across this morning (an earlier article) referred to that pic as being at the same bridge/waterbody, so who knows? Is there a map which would show where hydro lines run in that area?

I did try to look that up but I am useless at knowing what to search, that's why I stick to the visuals. But the other WSers involved in this might have looked up that info. Hopefully one of them can chime in?

I still think it's that spot. I cannot find another spot near a bridge that fits that. Looking at those wires I think they are very much higher than the trees and the bridge and are simply not visible on Google earth. I gave up with tired eyes too, LOL

I read that she would often go to "Michigan" and it's likely this is nowhere near Delphi. It looks like a summery "vacation" style picture.

Like you, I'm not always a fan of reporters, but here's the link to the video (approx :50 mark, I think).

* ETA: I'm usually behind... it seems my posts appear 4 pages after discussion has ended. Sorry, if this was already posted. Also, JMO but "currently" I feel bad for RL. I need lots more info before I'll put him a suspect category. And, as always, it's important to add... I've been wrong before.
Not looking to sleuth another poor random dude, but that guy BH? His voice sounded exactly like "down the hill"

I found the post by abeaman02. I have no idea if this is accurate but I remembered reading it and thinking it may explain why he may still be on probation:

"I hoping by linking this I can clear up the question of why RL's License would still be suspended. If you go back to the "My case link"

http://public.courts.in.gov/mycase/#/vw/Search

and enter case #08D01-1312-FD-000107 you will see he was first arrested on 11/28/2013 and at his trial on 9/15/2014. His license is suspended for 1 year but in between while waiting to be sentenced. He was pulled over again on 2/21/2014 (ref case 08D01-1402-FD-000016). At the sentencing for that case on 10/8/2014 he is given another 2 years license suspension to run consecutively with the previous suspension. Since he already served 30 days of that suspension the current suspension would not end until 9/15/2017...
IMO ...Does this make sense
"

I was totally unable to figure that out. I think I just glossed over "consecutive". Thank you. I assume it applies to his probation as well.

Jmo, DNA alone is not always "it" as far as evidence for a conviction. It can depend on type of DNA i.e saliva, perspiration vs semen for example. A person who lives in a place could feasibly leave DNA via skin cells or perspiration yet not automatically be guilty of a crime committed there. Just saying...while it seems DNA= guilt, there are other factors to be considered. A husband may have had sex with his wife, who is killed later the same day, and not be the culprit. Jmo

To the right of the spot and above the words Deer Creek ( on the other side of the creek) there is a definite white line running shoreline.. and it seems to peak out through the trees heading and angling back to the shore

I'm sure they have asked her for a description, and I personally don't understand why some people don't think LE is doing their job.
And, I'll bet she was asked not to talk about her testimony either.

(These threads move so fast it all seems so disjointed here, like no posts relates to each other lol, just a bunch of random posts, like different conversations haha)

I was just looking back at some prior posts and maps (by Nin, others). As Angelo and others previously posted, it seems that the southeast side of the bridge would have less foot traffic. So, perhaps BG came in from the southeast side (less chance of being seen). And, it's possible he walked past the girls onto the bridge, then doubled back. We don't know where he came from, but for instance, in looking at Google maps, it's about a 20 min walk or 3 min drive from the intersection of W 200N and N 625 W to the southeast end of the bridge (I know it turns into a private drive and I remember seeing a post about a gate). I wonder if LE checked with postal/UPS/Fedex workers that may have been making deliveries in that area and all around. Or any other types of deliveries that day.

Thoughts about entry points?

In terms of foot traffic I think the south would be more secluded.

People walk the trails on the north side. Most access the bridge from the trails on the north side.

The south side does have a narrow dirt road which runs under the bridge but at that point the road is a driveway which leads to one house which is over 600 feet away. There is another house over 500 feet away from the south side through the trees but the driveway is good distance before the bridge.

I don't imagine there is a lot of road/foot traffic near the south side of the bridge.

I believe the knew the area quite well and knew the chances of running into other people on the south end of the bridge were slim. I believe that the took Abby and Libby off the south side of the bridge, down the hill to the creek and then across the creek to where they were found.

I don't speak of any tips I make until many weeks after doing so. I sent an e-mail tip the day after the girls were found to check with postal delivery personnel/contractors about anything they might have seen (since they are out and about on the roads during that time of the day). As well as to check for who has their mail on hold, whose mail accumulates for days and then is emptied, whose mail has been accumulating and not emptied, anyone that did a change of address, etc. The reason being that if the person had been local and gone on the run they might not have thought about their mail accumulating. Also, it would identify any snow birds that might be in Florida, Arizona, etc. and their homes are otherwise unoccupied with someone picking up mail and checking on the house every few days or so.

I've been meaning to post this but keep forgetting.

Abby and Libby have brought so many great new members here.

Yeah well, the original poster was talking about RL and as far as I am concerned, there would be NOT ONE SINGLE good reason for HIS DNA to be anywhere on those children's bodies.

But I do get what your saying..

Yeah, the interviews... if there were nothing else, that alone would cast a lot of suspicion upon him. One interview, ok. But to participate, lead the reporters on tours, dress up etc, yes, this is controlling the narrative and goes way beyond normal, imho.
I respectfully disagree. Reporters/Television shows were probably ringing his phone off the hook wanting interviews. Probably even offered him money. I for one don't find it odd that an older man dressed up nicer (let's be real he wasn't wearing a tux just a nicer shirt and jeans). I also was shocked that a reporter asked him to say down the hill clearly looking to sensationalize the story further.

ETA We also have no idea how these news agencies/ reporters edited the clips to change our perception. Not everything is as it seems because a news agency says so.

So, the truck could have been collected at the same time but be an unrelated warrant to RLs? When he gave his dressed up interview I thought there was a white pick up in the shot. I'm going to go look.

I'm not into sleuthing innocent old men, but so much doesn't add up. Wait and see is going to be my new mantra here.

"Indiana is one of the states that adheres to the controversial “stand your ground” law. It wasn't always that way though. Originally there was the “castle doctrine.” Under the castle doctrine, a person who is being threatened must retreat from the threat as much as possible before responding in self defense."

I think a landowner was pissed at people coming onto his land and shot the kids.
Probably really drunk or on drugs.

Welcome Webwatcher1945. :)

:welcome5:

I think this could be a possibility as well, along with many other scenarios. I mentioned upstream I've seen a few episodes like this on "Fear Thy Neighbor" on ID.

Jumping off your post, maybe they were playing with the horses?

Last night I posted an msm video confirming they were using "electronic equipment" to search the property...Sounds like possibly looking for shell casings, jmo.
And he saw, got pissed but by the time he got outside they had moved on, so he followed them to the bridge and marched them back to where the transgression occurred? Anything is possible at this point in time.

We. Know. Next. To. Nothing.

Not sure if this has been posted already - but after watching a news report where R.L. was interviewed, I was shocked to see how much (IMO) he resembles B.G. - even his hat and uneven gait to me seems similar to B.G. (note the right foot turned outward and distinctive *lean* to his gait). The main part that troubles me is that the bodies were left on *his* property. That doesn't exactly make sense - unless he needed some kind of assistance to move the 2 girls' bodies and they were discovered before he could do so.
