I also find it to be extremely odd that the girls weren't located the evening they went missing ?? Does anyone know the exact distance from where they were last seen to where they were found ? IMO it didn't appear to be that far that a k-9 dog couldn't have located them that evening.. ?? I don't know maybe I'M just over thinking stuff ??

They were found in a remote heavily wooded area that would have been very difficult to search in the dark. K-9 dogs never actually made it on scene as they had to be brought in from Illinois. Also keep in mind LE didn't really think they were in danger, so to have people ( searchers) potentially injured in the dark didn't seem worth the risk for girls they believed to probably be OK..

And, a drone video shows the team in the creek.

Thank you. Did you get to look at the footage I posted? I'm curious to know what other people see. Looks to me like something white snagged in roots.its driving me a little batty. I'm not one to "see things", and the fact that searchers are standing just downstream of it, well I don't know.

And they aren't going to tell you if they question the person you call about, I don't suspect. In other words, if you call or email a tip, I don't believe you're going to receive a call back or a reply email confirming that they've looked into your tip.
It's possible the tape captured a name. It's also possible the majority of tips all pointed to the same person. I believe LE triage tips when there are so many.

ETA majority of credible tips in the first few days

I've watched it until I'm cross eyed many times lol I think it's just water hitting rocks where its shallow in places.

I swear I remember them going back, before we knew about BG and everything went crazy chaotic. I seem to remember thinking were they looking for the girls phones? A weapon? I swear I saw a search and rescue dinghy type boat on a trailer parked near the cemetery.

Very nice work Otto! I would say the Feds should at least be contacting the Weichman HR departments at both facilities to check the employment history locations of the staff immediately.
La Porte City, Iowa is south of Evansdale. When coming from Delphi, they would turn off before they even got to Evansdale.https://www.google.com/maps/dir/422...8693c4ad74!2m2!1d-92.184102!2d42.317615?hl=en. I at one time was thinking more about Tyson in Logansport and Waterloo. The Tyson plant is on the same road that goes through Evansdale. However, I no longer think the cases are related because I have a new person in mind that I can't link to Iowa. I would love to be wrong though. ETA-Also, it has been mentioned that Evansdale is a tiny, rural town. It's really not; it has almost 5,000 people. Also, if you go down just 1 or 2 roads in numerous directions, Waterloo is right there. That has almost 20,000 people. I just wanted to clarify that.

IMO and this is just my opinion I honestly believe that this is the work of a serial killer. Is there anyone else that thinks this could be a possibility ? I just think that it's to coincidental that there has been so many other similar crimes not far from this case with similar MO's .. IMO this BG is a very organized killer and had definitely did his homework .. I may be way off and I hope I didn't overstep my boundaries on this thread..

I'm with ya on this opinion. I think its rare for a perp to start off with a double homicide. IMO there are other precursor crimes and this perp seems to be experienced IMO. Doesn't seem to be a disorganized offender who left clues everywhere. All jmo

There was also detectives spotted by locals under the bridge a few days later with metal detectors. It's stuff like this that make me feel confident that LE is searching for specific things because unlike us, they DO have a clue, maybe "The" clue.

And since this topic seems on everyone's mind this morning, another to consider is that if, and this is a big if, they know who did this, but are also connecting him to other crimes, it will take longer to get all that evidence in order for presentation to more than one prosecutor, or possibly a federal prosecutor. I really hope this exactly what's happening.
LE may have the need to continue collecting tips, either because they believe that peripheral individuals are still unknown to them, or because useful pieces of evidence could still be gleaned form additional tips. If they announce any kind of "conclusion" it could have a limiting effect on additional info coming forth from the public.

I have been frustrated with the lack of progress with this case but this post is refreshing. A pure "brain dump". I dont care if is perfect or has paragraphs. I appreciate the effort and the new perspective. Thank you!!!

I'm not sure about the clothes. I follow a FB page where the owners are remodeling an old historic mansion in NE United States. I've noticed that, on colder days, almost all of their laborers are dressed identical to BG. Until I saw pictures of other workers, I didn't realize how much of a uniform BG was wearing. I'd throw blue collar worker in with that mix of possible occupations.

Serial Killer is a definite possibility, brings back my idea of cat fishing. There's just so much we don't know. I think if he is a SK, then he had a car, waiting up at the cemetery, or parked perhaps just down the road. I know LE put out a call for people who may have picked up a hitchhiker. With all the attention this case has gotten, I truly believe a hitchhiker fitting BG's description would have been called in to LE by trucker etc who picked him up. Who knows maybe it has been. Also, don't think a poor homeless/vagrant drifter type. That appears to be a serious weapon in his jacket, which would be a) expensive to maintain and b) if it's obvious to us, then it would be obvious to whomever gave him a ride out of town.

Libby had a KIK account I wonder how successful LE has been going into her account and seeing who she was chatting with there...so many questions, so few answers..

Yeah I remember that too.

I didn't start the Case Map right away because someone else made one, but idk what happened to them. Not seen them since. If I'd have done it right away I woud have saved all links and photos from the early days. Kicking myself now.

Why should they have? Curious as to your reasoning. They're not prepared to is my guess.
Im just going by cases in my area. By no means do I live in a big city either. Usually there are some details given out and within a month or two an arrest has been made. There have been some pretty awful things that have happened here too, but I suppose I just have to be patient.

Ok you've triggered a memory. A day or 2 after the girls were found, was there not a dive team and boat back at the creek? Or have I imagined that/got confused with another case?

ETA: Found this

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017

Tuesday morning: The search resumes with teams of volunteers and police officers. The effort also includes K-9 units and dive teams.

I saw it too and IMO it could be clothing snagged on a tree limb or root. The reporter stated he saw clothing in the creek . not sure of the time frames. Jmo

I can easily imagine whichever local law enforcers who first saw and/or heard may have recognized someone local.

I can easily imagine, even with that knowledge, releasing the photos for people who were on that trail or nearby who weren't local.
