Someone way upthread or maybe prior thread, NiN?, made note of a change in weight but I was TO and couldn't see the photo to compare. People under a lot of stress can lose weight fairly rapidly. I sure can if I'm very stressed and upset. I'd be upset to be in jail, so who knows why he's lost weight. MOO
i was on a TO out too when they were posted and i could not see them either!

Dunno man-- but I get the feeling the police may think they have "something" on him. Either he knows something or they are just keeping the pressure on him. The police can easily keep the proceedings confidential. They seem to want him in the public eye as much as possible. The perpetrator walk from the van to the courtroom, the perpetrator inside of the court house, all in front of the media.

Does anyone else get this impression that cops are keeping the pressure on him?

No worries, I obviously do too lol

Who was it that gave the interview at RL's property search? In my mind I had that as Lazenby but its not

Was that Slocum, the state guy? The one I'm thinking about was pulling traffic duty...never did figure that out.

They may have a different procedure or set of protocols in that police department, but in my neck of the woods--- all of the arrestees who are going before a judge arrive in a large cargo van or similar vehicle. Rarely, do you see a single arrestee be given a ride by himself or herself.....like we see with RL.

Up in Elkhart County, where I'm from, we have multiple arrestees brought in at the same time, too. But that's because we have a lot of arrestees. They are all brought in wearing leg irons.

I wonder if there were others scheduled for court today?

Is it me or did WS just inspire a new word soon to be included in Webster's dictionary? "Potato nose - noun - a nose having a resemblance to a potato"

Good question-- what time was RL brought to court? Even having Sheriff's deputies escorting him seems like it might be a deviation from protocol. When our arrestees are brought in, it's just the authorities who work in the jail who do the job.

According to Legal Match, an adult disposition hearing is when a judge in a criminal case determines the punishment for the guilty party if he is convicted in the hearing or a court. The process usually only happens in juvenile court cases, but it happens in adult court cases as well.

Yes. Let me make it clear that I have never thought RL was BG, but Lazenby escorting him to me is ODD. And that many LE? For a probation violation???? JMO

Don't forget that everyone has their eyes on this case--- EVERYONE. The police chief, the lawmakers, the victim's families, the public and not to mention the media outlets that are covering this case.

You better believe the police are going to be doing everything "By the Book" when it comes to RL.
I assume some of the families may be in Court. That could be telling also. Does anyone see mother of Abby or Libby's grandfather?

ISP Trooper Slocum looks similar to Sheriff Tobe L.

Agreed. It seems like he is getting some special attention from law enforcement. Just my impression. I wonder if police offered him a polygraph and whether he agreed to it or not.

If it is, wow, how absolutely humiliating for those that aren't armed robbers or rapists or murderers or some vile creature that society needs to be imminently protected from, even while handcuffed and being escorted by police. jmo
Not sure if a family member who lost a loved one to drunk driving would agree

It may also be to protect him as someone could try to assault him bc they believe he is the perp...even if he does not turn out to be.

I'm no Lawyer... But apparently I think like one.

Hey, :fireworks: :welcome: :fireworks:

It's a move I've seen made on numerous cases where they have a suspect or strong POI but don't have enough to arrest for the crime. It's a tactic employed to put pressure and sometimes also to keep the public safe while buying more time before they have to make an arrest and start the speedy trial clock running.

They did this in the Hannah Graham case.

Sometimes it works.
