Seems like every case if different, as far as whether or not cause of death is revealed. I tend to think if the crime was sexually motivated, LE says very little. I have seen when families are found dead, i.e. that they will say the adults were shot, children stabbed etc...so I don't think LE is keeping quiet in this case simply because of the age of the victims. We also usually hear pretty quickly how young children were killed in parental abuse cases. I believe this case was definitely a sexual murder and the less said before necessary, the better, in LE's eyes.

But...they could end up with a cold case if they choose to never release more info. As one example, if the girls were killed in a manner not involving blood, and someone based their opinion on whether their husband/boyfriend/neighbor could not be the killer because he came home in the same clothes and they were clean, free of bloodstains etc...in fact that person could be guilty but never brought to LE's attention. Or if a person "lost" a gun around that time...and the girls had been shot...knowing this fact could bring a suspect to light from the public. Examples only, sorry to be blunt.

JMO, but I think that there was only one person and that he had a gun, to control them with. Whether he used it to kill them or not, I don't know. I also think that it was sexually motivated.

So if the snap chat pic was taken at 2:07, they had to walk the rough terrain and cross a creek as well and then proceed 3/4 of a mile..what time was the search again around 6pm?

Giving...generally you feed horses in their stalls which I'd expect to be close to the house. That didn't look like a feed bucket. I kinds think it's just an abandoned cooler because you're right filling that up so far from the house would be an awful lot of work. Also, with horses, would normally have a self filling water trough.

Depending on where the field ended horses can drink from a pond or a creek. And my horses eat in buckets hung on a fence crossing board..not in a stall. They have solar heater for ice melting In winter also. Moo( personal knowledge from owning 2 and living in cold climate in winter)

I read this in the news and they said two teens had been shot. So I don't understand why the COD is not released in the girls's case. Because I don't know anything about SK do they usually use the same method of killing someone. For example all of them are shot or all of them are strangled etc. Do they use different methods over the years? I had thought it was someone local but now I too wonder about a SK because of lack of information. Perhaps that is why LE won't say anything.

If the cause of death was obvious then yes I could understand the time frame(short between finding girls and interment) but wouldn't there be a period of time in this case to fully view the bodies and submit a full report including forensics. In my little hometown a family practitioner would not have the tools to do a complete forensics(as Delphi probably has being a small town). Maybe I've been watching too many crime shows. JMO

I'm old and when I hike trails I walk between a 15-20 minute mile per my fitbit.

I watched some youtube videos of folks walking down what they suspect is the path down the hill and across the creek. I think it would take less than 10 minutes probably less to get to where the girls were found in my opinion.

Search started I believe around 5:30. I think commencement of crime started 2:30ish and BG was out of there in at or less than an hour I think.

Just a thought....

Now that some time has passed and the "shock" has somewhat ebbed, I think LE should have a new PC. Maybe it's time to refresh people's memories. There is someone in BG's life that needs to be prodded to come forward with that tiny bit of information that will start opening doors.A wife, girlfriend, co-worker, associate, friend. Somebody somewhere would have seen that photo and thought "Wow that looks like so and so" and then tossed the thought away as being ridiculous.

Someone, needs to start questioning where their buddy, husband, etc., was on that day. Someone needs to think that something isn't right. Someone knows. I KNOW SOMEONE KNOWS THIS GUY but are fearful of coming forward.

I think LE needs to step it up, prod, remind, maybe give us just a snippet of something that will provide that Aha moment.

Maybe, and yes, this is wishful thinking, they have received lots of tips on same individual and are putting together information for his arrest warrant. While doing that they will have him under very close surveillance. I know you're probably right I just keep hoping for an arrest every day.

I am so sorry about your son; that has to be tough. Thanks for the info on what would be done in a small town when they don't have the expertise and/or equipment to handle this kind of case.

I think by saying this is wishful thinking it's implied it's just speculation. It's not my opinion that's what is going on, I've no idea, it's just a possibility.

Basically, a dim witted criminal who admires the Narco Cartels, and possibly watches You Tube videos depicting their use of over kill violence. The criminal then decides to imitate the Narco Cartels in his own life.

Cryptic- Stay strong. Thank you for sharing. Someone knows something and maybe the band of bandits will get a conscious and turn in the criminal (IMO and continuing the theory).

I actually think it wasn't sexually motivated...I feel like it was a power trip for him to be able to control and kill the two girls.

Thank you WVWoman. To you and other horsey folk, is RL's horse worth much? It looks like a pretty appaloosa but I have no idea of it's value. Would it be of enough value to interest a horse thief? Say they were going to load up the horse and noticed the girls watching them. Kinda of a streeeetch, but ya never know.

Hi Everyone- I'm new....a couple of weeks. Been on the image board mostly. When stuck...sometimes go back to the beginning? What kind of environment exist around the bridge? Is there known criminal activity around the bridge? A plausible alternative might be that the girls were waiting on friends to meet them. A man, as well as other people, are walking along the bridge. But the man, intends to not turn around and go back to exit the bridge. He really wants to go below the bridge and Libby is in his path. Not only in his path, but taking his picture. This is a bad guy, but not of the predator going to setup a blind meeting with children. He may be a bad guy related to the activity under the bridge. So he takes the phone because he doesn't want his picture out in public, not realizing that its in the cloud. Now what does he do with the girls?

Hey Henry- when this case first crossed my radar, I also assumed, based on the pictorial evidence and my own hunch, this man on the bridge was mad his picture was taken. That kind of hunch comes back from time to time here, and has never gone away, so I do think it can't be crossed of the list.

My thoughts have gone outward from that since my first impression, but not ready to rule it out, either, without more evidence.

Hi- IMO, I'm skeptical of a gun. See the pics I posted tonight on the image thread that demonstrate a 9mm gun in the outside pocket of various jacket styles as compared to the BG pic. They are very very different. We couldn't find a scenario where the gun would lay in the pocket backwards....much less take it out of the pocket backwards without it tangling up in the pocket. I've worked on a theory of a concealed weapon jacket but can't find a great match.

Hi Jabarn- Occam's razor.....it might be the simplest scenario. He might have something to hide of a criminal nature. See Websight's great experiment on the image thread that can really solidify this theory for you....it did me. That experiment indicates that with the zoom on Libby's phone, the BG may have been 60-70 ft away. He wasn't seeing anything going on with these girls that far away. As he got closer he see's she is filming everything in the area. My speculation....
