The SUV left the neighborhood at 6:00 A.M.

Bessie, is there a reason this is being discounted?

My understanding from the presser was it (and the guy) had been seen several different times and several different streets and it seemed like and back again.

And while I know there's another instance of earlier mention of the SUV being seen leaving on video, I've seen it in a few places specifically post the shots fired.

I won't repost a bunch since I've done that a few times already, but here's one:

Witnesses told police they heard gunshots at around 6:45 a.m., and later saw a dark SUV speeding away from the scene.

Wednesday night, detectives were back at the murder scene. Forensic technicians collected more evidence a full day and a half after Blackburn's murder.

"We are processing the scene, making sure we are not leaving any stone unturned. Hopefully, it leads to additional information or any potential leads," said IMPD Ofc. Rafael Diaz.

Investigative teams used electric saws in their search for evidence.

Just trying to stay true to the facts. LE statements trump everything else. Have you seen a direct quote from LE that differs from what Major Hench stated in the presser?

"At approximately 6:00 there was a camera from west of the burglarized home that captured a dark colored SUV driving quickly down the street.

Approximately one minute later that vehicle was then seen leaving
."

[...]

Approximately 6:45-6:55, there was a neighbor who reported hearing shots, or what she believed to be shots.

Another neighbor saw an individual wearing a dark colored hoodie traveling from the first burglarized home.

Later on...occupants from that same residence reported seeing a subject wearing a hoodie walking westbound, away from the area of the Blackburn residence.

I think this article might be from last Wednesday?

I'm curious on why a burglar would burglarize a neighborhood where most homes have security systems and cameras?

I have never followed a case that had this much shoddy reporting. Facts -- that's all I want.

Quite a few facts have been released. More than I've seen in some cases. As for reporting, it hasn't been all that bad. But why depend on reporters when you can hear it straight from LE?

The gun -- yesterday it was unrelated, today it may be related. Now we have an article saying the photo is of the suspect and the suspect's car (not the SUV)....Say What? I'm reading all this on this thread. Guess it's a waste of time. Maybe I should wait for Indiana LE's next news conference where they talk about Amanda's cute dog. Ugh!

I've been following this case since the first thread, but I may have missed a few posts here and there. I don't think this article was posted yet:

Amanda Blackburn's best friend: 'Amanda inspired me in so many ways'

There's a short video at the link. Amanda's friend seems devastated. She can hardly speak to the reporter through her tears. It looks like Amanda had a great set of friends. I hope justice comes soon.

And wow those houses are close together. For so many people to have seen this person in question it sure was a huge risk to be there. Must have been on a mission. The location this alleged burglar decided on is peculiar.

This case is just beyond sad, that this young religious couple pregnant no less, have endured this hardship. There are no words, completely blindsided. I hope they catch these criminals and PROSECUTE to the fullest extent of the law! Hopefully more videos will come forward.

Thanks! I've copied your post to the media thread.

Husband....snip....is taking some time away from Indianapolis to grieve.

Pastor Davey Blackburn packed his bags and will be away from Indianapolis during a mourning period....

Wonder where he is going and with whom? I would think little Weston would not want his daddy to be out of his sight since his mom has been gone.

He is leaving his kid behind? Who with?

I can understand not wanting in to stay. Especially if they took out carpeting or drywall. I think I would feel too frightened and alone.

I don't see anywhere stated that his son isn't going with him?

If they have more security footage of the suspect, why release those two particular photos that show so little useful visual information? If they want the public's help identifying the person, I would think they'd release a better description at least. If they think they already know who it is and don't want to tip their hand, why release any photos at all?

I can not fault anyone for not wanting to go back to that house.
I cannot even imagine what it would be like.
Hopefully with the baby boy DB went to his parents

He's probably so used to saying "we" it's second nature. Heartbreaking. :(

I keep imagining Weston asking for mama and not understanding why she's not there. So senseless to scar all these innocent lives forever.
