So the morning session pretty much answered my questions about the case.

Just random bad luck the Amanda that the killers were across the street when her Husband left, and that he did not lock the door. 6am seemed a strange time for such an opportunistic robbery, but there you go.

*Bench Trial continues (Day 2) (Blackburn) (@ 9am CT) - IN - Amanda Blackburn (28) (was 12 weeks pregnant shot to death, Nov. 10, 2015, Indianapolis) - *Larry Jo Taylor, Jr. (18/now 25) arrested & charged (11/23/15) & arraigned (11/25/15) with murder willful intent, murder in the course of a burglary, murder in the course of a robbery, murder enhancement, carrying a handgun without a license, criminal confinement, 2 counts burglary (11/10/15), 2 counts of theft (11/10/15), 3 counts of rape (11/3/15), robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (11/3/15), public indecency & public nudity. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.
Watson & Gordon confessed that Taylor was the shooter. In the Nov. 3, 2015 case, tests found that Taylor's DNA matched samples found on the victim & her clothing.
Bench trial began on 9/19/22. (for Blackburn 3-4 days).
Rape: Trial set to begin on 11/21/22.

Before the trial, Amanda Blackburn's family and friends huddled in prayer before entering the courtroom.
Davey Blackburn testified that he got up around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, 2015, read his Bible, then went to the gym at about 6 a.m. He said he left the door unlocked, because they only had one house key at the time and it was on his wife's key ring.

Blackburn said he was at the gym for about an hour. He was on the phone with a friend when he came home, so he stayed in the driveway so his conversation didn't wake his pregnant wife or their toddler daughter.

Not much that we don't already know. She was laying naked on the floor, face down by the Christmas tree. They saw Davey leave and decided to burglarize his house, too. The other 2 are going to testify against him.

I'm pretty irritated that this isn't being live streamed and the news aren't giving better coverage.

She must have been absolutely terrified to find these men in her home.

Not that it’s a big deal, but this news report stated they had a toddler daughter, but the child was actually a son, Weston.

These despicable group of men obviously had more on their minds than just robbery on that morning. There was no reason she needed to be raped or murdered.

He has no rape charges for this crime.

Right, I noticed that. You would think this local news channel would be able to correctly report the sex of the child.

Taylor and Watson burglarized on 11/03 and that's when Taylor is accused of the rape. So Watson knew he was a rapist when he brought his along on the BB robbery. Yet, they left him alone with Amanda. Then Taylor allegedly killed Hernandez on 11/04 and I'd be very surprised if his partners didn't know what he had done. It's possible that Amanda would still be alive if not for Watson and Gordon bringing him along.

I really hate plea deals in cases like this one. I know they are probably necessary but IMO snitches only snitch to help themselves and will say anything to lighten their own sentences.

Also - on 9/19 there was another lady after Angela Knox - but it her name is not listed as a witness. I redid Monday's notes with the real names.
