@FrostedGlass Thank you for sharing these custody updates. It appears XB and his parents continue to move forward in the courts regarding the custody case.

MOO, but it's interesting to note that neither XB or anyone in his family is taking an active role in locating Ciera, at least publicly. They've made no official statements in MSM regarding her disappearance, and I have not found any MSM reports of XB, his parents, or anyone in his family assisting with searches, putting up MP flyers, organizing volunteers to search, etc.

IMO it seems the custody issue is their primary goal, rather than discovering what actually happened to Ciera.

Update for XB; nothing has changed for RB

I guess this answers how he posted bail (his mother). And apparently he is also fighting for custody.

At Breland's initial hearing, he pleaded with the judge to lower his bond to an amount his mother could afford. His bond had been set at $35,000 and prosecutors wanted it increased to $50,000.

"I just need an opportunity to get my life back in order," Breland told the judge.

Breland said he could get a job as a truck driver if he was let out of jail.

After considering the case, the judge set bond at $100,000.

Breland also said he was fighting for custody of the 1-year-old he had with Ciera Breland (Locklair), but her disappearance was not mentioned in court Thursday.
Back further in this thread, it was also posted that he was at the time trying to fight for custody of his other kids. So is this his MO? Do something to the mother and then try to take the kids? This guys completely off of his rocker. And it sounds like his family enables him IMO

It's been nearly 18 months since Ciera was last seen or heard from. If the old saying "actions speak louder than words" is true, then IMO it's important to ask the following question:

How many times has XB, or anyone in his family, been directly involved with LE or volunteers in searching for Ciera?

Based on the MSM reports I've read, there are no indications that XB, his parents, or other Breland family members have ever been directly involved in searching for Ciera. Media reports indicate his parents, specifically his mother, have paid XB's bail, attorney fees, and court costs, but beyond that and the ongoing child custody hearings I see no evidence that anyone in the Breland family have taken an active role in Ciera's disappearance, either in Georgia or Indiana.

In addition, AFAIK no one in the Breland family has given any interviews to the media, distributed 'missing person' posters, offered a reward for information regarding Ciera's disappearance, etc.

"At Breland's initial hearing, he pleaded with the judge to lower his bond to an amount his mother could afford. His bond had been set at $35,000 and prosecutors wanted it increased to $50,000."

"Breland also said he was fighting for custody of the 1-year-old he had with Ciera Breland (Locklair), but her disappearance was not mentioned in court Thursday. She was last seen Feb. 24, 2022 in Johns Creek, Georgia. She was visiting family there with her husband, Xavier Breland, their 5-month-old son, and their dog. Xavier reported her missing to the Carmel Police Department on Feb. 26, but the FBI said there's no evidence that Ciera ever returned home from Georgia."

Husband of missing Carmel woman released from jail after posting bond

So if XB and his family are sticking with their original story about Ciera being 'kidnapped' while walking to a store in Carmel, in winter, with no coat, phone, or wallet, then why not join in searches, organize fundraisers, etc?

All of the above is MOO.

Sad story…… and I am late to this, having just watched the Disappeared episode on this case on ID (Investigation Discovery).

Several other references in threads above on this too - but based on reporting thus far, it doesn’t seem likely she left GA or made it far from the MIL house?

I thought there were some reports that the husband had left from GA with wife, their infant son, the dog, and some of his other children from another relationship to return to IN?

If so, it was suggested above that with distance to be traveled, it would not leave much time for the individual to deposit the missing wife. And if so that makes one wonder if he first left with her and the infant, and then secreted her somewhere? And then returned to get the dog and other children? And then headed to IN?

If reports are accurate about the person of interest’s mother’s residence in GA, seems the missing wife had wanted to leave - but was not given the infant son upon her wish to depart.

Maybe already the case - but sure hope that investigators have used all vehicle GPS, phone pings, credit cards, vehicle license plate readers etc….. in attempt to best determine route or placement.

And also thought I read the husband might have been estranged (court intervention perhaps?) from his other children? Not sure their age, but also hope that investigators early interviewed them for their story.
MOO

From what I've read in MSM, there's no physical evidence indicating Ciera left Georgia. LE reports indicate her last known location was XB's mother's home. She has not been heard from since that time. In addition there have been no confirmed sightings of Ciera in Indiana.

AFAIK, he (XB) is the only person who claims that Ciera arrived back in Carmel, a few days before her alleged 'kidnapping'. I've seen no public statements from LE or from XB's father stating that Ciera arrived in Indiana.

Thanks @legalmomma for the custody update.

With Ciera missing now for the better part of two years, I wonder what the logic is behind XB's mother being so focused on getting custody of their (Ciera and XB's) child.

MOO, but it would be interesting to know how much time, effort, and financial resources XB's mother and rest of the Breland family have spent searching for Ciera compared to this ongoing custody battle.
