An Indiana Amber Alert for a missing 6-week-old baby was canceled Friday evening.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department requested the cancellation of the alert for Delano Wilson at 6 p.m., but said their investigation remains active.

“This doesn’t diminish what we are doing,” said Sgt. Kendale Adams with IMPD. “We will continue to search for the infant.”


A vigil is being held for Delano at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Vigils can serve a few purposes: they get press, they sometimes bring out the perp, they help a community heal

ok, so that alley doesn't look like what I thought it would look. It looks like a residential, normal alley. Like there are no tons of trees and it's not dark and it doesn't look scary. Maybe I have been watching too much tv. Even if someone would be doing anything illegal (ex dealing) in my mind they wouldn't choose such a open space, right? Again maybe too much tv, and I am so far from a dealer, lol, but just saying.
I hope someone is loving, snuggling, feeding and changing baby Delano.

"An Amber Alert went out for 6-week-old Delano Wilson about 9 p.m. Wednesday, some eight hours after 23-year-old Willie Wilson told police his son had been abducted by a man and woman who knocked him out in an alley near his home just west of downtown Indianapolis."

I might be uber-nit-picky, but earlier reports said he called 911 at noon. Then why not say "some nine hours after"? Eight hours after would have placed his 911 call at around 1pm, or maybe just before 1pm, around the same time the mother was spotted walking in the same area, looking sort of frantic, and pacing, according to the business owner who saw her.

Thanks for the pics of the area, makes it easier to understand.
The alley is very open, not what I had pictured either, remembering this attack happened at noon, so daylight, in a pretty open area? Doesn't make sense. Not where you would think a mugging would take place.
Also, the muggers take off with your newborn baby, but leave you with your mobile phone to call for help!

What I did notice in both alleys (I still don't know which alley WW was actually in, I took my little google street view man down the 1400 block of Henry alley, and it does NOT look like any of the pics I've seen of it on msm videos [neither does the alley between Chase and Harding) - but I'm going to take another look) is that there is a LOT of graffiti on people's garages, storage sheds, etc. Some of it has been painted over (I assume by the homeowners) but there's still a lot of it around, in both places. I think an alley where taggers are, off the main roads would be a good place to rob someone. Assuming of course, anyone was actually robbed.

It is possible these kidnapper people who took the baby are running some sort of illegal black baby adoption ring/market.

Anything is possible. I highly doubt this is the case. Our babies are not considered a priority when it comes to adoption.

Okay I figured out why neither of the alleys in the earlier pics I posted looked anything like the alley they were showing in news footage. It's because it wasn't either one of them that WW reported the robbery/abduction.

It's actually the alley running north/south between Chase (the street they live on) and Harding.



Ariel view shows where the alley is #(1) that the 911 call was placed from somewhere between noon and 1pm (?) and where the mother was seen(#2) behaving oddly, just before 1pm.

I can't understand cancelling the amber alert? It's only been active for a Few days, and the description (if it's real), was really detailed. A better description than some amber alerts.
Also no searches? What's that about?

Maybe LE have more info and some leads, can't think of other reasons for no searches.
I presume the family home has already been searched,
Was there any CCTV of the area the dad and Delano were walking round for an hour?

Not sounding good so far. Praying for the Little ones safe return x

If LE has ruled out an abduction then there really is no point seeking leads about abductors and an automobile that doesn't exist. Continuing to solicit leads about a car and perps that LE may have determined do not exist takes valuable and limited time away from leads that would be more productive in locating Delano.

It's also possible the searches have been called off because LE believes that is strategy to get them to talk.

I once had a former dealer tell me how they operate. Code words, conducting business in different area's. Since then I can spot a small time dealer easily. Just look for someone on a bicycle riding at various hours day and night that are not on a set schedule. Someone who doesn't appear like they are bike riding for excersize, but for transportation. It goes on in residential neighborhoods all the time. Even my neighbor once asked me if I noticed such and such a person dealing. I replied that I saw it too. They(dealers) must think people are stupid, but really they are the fools for thinking they're fooling anyone.

Any word on if there are security cameras in the area that would show dad and baby? And apart from the amazing details of the supposed abductors clothing, so we have any sketches of the 2?
What is the racial make up of the neighborhood? Would a white male ( in a do-rag ) and a hispanic female stick out? I would think that SOMEONE would say "that sounds like so and so!"
If dad was able to give that detailed description ( down to the womans earrings!) I would expect he would have had to have spent some time with them... IF it went down the say he says, could he have met up with them for some purpose in the alley.. and things went sour? Drug deal gone bad? "pay up and you get the baby back" ?

That's what he says... No one has come forward to say they actually saw him at all during that hour. If he was on the phone before his 911 call, I'm sure LE knows about it and is looking into it. I just think if he was walking around that residential area for an hour holding a newborn baby, someone would have seen him and come forward to say so.

Sometimes these google pictures can be several years old. The one of our house has a truck in the driveway that we sold like 5 or 6 years ago, and also has none of the newer development around our area.

Just trying to get a visual of the neighborhood so I turned to google earth & street view. First, on the 911 call WW says he's at Harding, by Chase, then he says Harding and Oliver. MSM reports abduction happened in an alley. Here's some shots of that area (note, there is only 1 alley on that block)

I'm not clear on why he gave so many different locations, but the only real question now is... where is that baby?!

Those are alleys? I was picturing a dark alley between tall buildings. So I'm with Schmae on this one .... doesn't seem like all that commotion could occur there, without more witnesses.

I don't know man, my baby's missing, I'm out there on the streets, searching, looking, most likely a mess, but I just couldn't sit and hold a vigil, couldn't sit still long enough, knowing she/he is out there .... somewhere!
