In late October 2008, March 2008 becomes significant - why?

not_my_kids - so you don't think KC was considering offing CA? Over the house? Cause I think, maybe. Possibly at some point, CA told her "if anything happens to us, you and Caylee will always have a place to live.............", you know, like you are in the will? KC would be nuts enough to think she could trade Caylee for a house though, IMO.

I've been trying to find a working link for the AH/KC text messages, and can't find one. I remember reading about this stuff alot further back in the texts, but can't find them to verify it. Every link I find is broken.

In this document released this week are the March 2008 wireless records for CA and GA. These were requested by LE on October 28 and received from ATT on Oct 29. I'd like to use this thread to discuss the significance of these records and what they mean in the context of the rest of the investigation.

Here are some other details that might help:

  • March 17 is the date of the chloroform search.
  • March 17 is the date Casey cashed $20 forged check of grandmother's.
  • October 16 a lengthy interview with AL took place. Police visited the location AL found KC the first time she ran out of gas on Chickasaw, they visited the Amscot and had AL describe location of KC's car, and they visited AL's previous apartment where he lived in June / July w/ Casey.
  • October 21 a second attempt was made to extract information from Casey's phone after the Cellebrite software was updated. Incoming text messages were recovered.
  • October 27 is the date another digitally-recorded interview of Ric M. took place.
  • October 28 is the date Ric M.'s computer was forensically examined by OCSO.

What did the police uncover in late October that made March suddenly that more important?

I have a question out of this.. text messages cannot be recovered from cell phone records... only the phone that sent them or recieved them??

Does anyone remember when the discussions between KC and AH were happening about KC gonna get the house? Wasn't it because GA and CA were getting divorced? Then that fell through and KC is looking for something else. Wonder if KC was thinking of getting the house her own way, via a little chloroform............and then what? Just always wondered what made her think she was getting the house? Any kernel of truth to that or all outright lie? Premeditation anyone? And reason enough to do away with what CA loves the most (and what is holding KC back)? "Because I'm a spiteful b!&ch".

I know some discussions between KC and AH about moving into the Anthony house took place in late May/early June. On June 4 KC wrote in AH's Facebook "Can't wait until we become roommates". I don't think this was ever gonna happen.. this was just another one of KC's weird lies.

I do believe KC was at one time considering doing away with one or both of her parents and making it look like self-defense.. but she chicked out.. .and the resentment continued to build.. hence what happened to Caylee.

I think htat maybe she overheard her mother making a comment about moving out and getting an apartment if she had to take custody of Caylee that planted the idea of her getting the house. Maybe she thought Cindy would trade her even up, kid for house.

Very good point.

The last thing I googled was "plasma TV." I was researching a tv to buy and I was uncertain about what was the difference between flat screen and plasma. I didn't, however, continue on to find out how to build one! :)

I think it must be the searches for acetone, peroxide, etc. show that show individual ingredients for the chloroform "recipe" were researched.

I wish we knew what she bought at Publix with the March check (around $25 right?). I wonder if it was bleach, acetone, alcohol, peroxide, hydrogen peroxide... :)

Thank you for starting this post. You have made some very good points.

The things I thought were curious were that both GA and CA had calls that were blackened out.

Also, I noticed GA calls VM an unusual number of times in comparison to the incoming calls he receives. Maybe he is just technically illiterate and doesn't know he doesn't have any new calls...go figure!

This will be an interesting thread to follow as there as so many savvy sleuthers on this board...

I think the calls that were blacked out were all before and after March. If they subpoenaed the March calls, perhaps for privacy the cell company felt they had to black out any calls not included in the subpoena.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the blacked out boxes just on certain calls? I thought the boxes were dropped mid-page on those docs with data before and after. I guess I should go look again.

Computer searches for One Tree Hill 100th episode

This One Tree Hill 100th episode first aired on March 18, 2008. The storyline features a kinapping by an evil nanny.

Good question toledo - I think that is the case - makes sense why a phone of hers went missing eh?

BUMP!

I think resentment was all consuming in that house. KC needed her mother cause she couldn't support herself much less her daughter, GA needed CA cause he can't find and keep a job, CA needs KC so that she can keep Caylee in her home. They all need each other, but resent each other because of that need. It was only a matter of time before something tragic happened to someone in this family-unfortunately it happened to innocent little Caylee. But, as you can see, Caylee may have lost her life-but the others lives are completely destroyed. There is no way they can put their lives back in any sane fashion. Sadly, if circumstances don't change-I think mental breaks and perhaps an attempt at something desparate to ones self is likely.

I just got off the phone with my daughter. She did not know what chloroform is. I briefly explained what is was to her, then asked if she looked up chloroform and the first hit she got said that it could be made easily, would she then search those ingredients. She said she would.

I think it's difficult to relate plasma tv to this thought process.

Let's say you looked up cough remedies and the first hit also listed the common ingredients you could use to make your own, might you search them? Maybe or maybe not, but theres a better chance of you searching that than how to make a plasma TV!

All I'm saying is that this might have been what starting her mind going in that direction.

Thanks for inquiring!! :)

I do believe Casey was aware of chloroform from her tv watching habits, but you could be right about Rico's Myspace cartoon.

Here's what's interesting, 4 days apart...if she didn't know, she nearly reached expert status with these searches done regarding chloroform on her computer (borrowed from another thread):

MARCH 17

GOOGLE:

*Chloroform

WICOPEDIA:

*Inhalation
*Chloroform
*Alcohol
*Acetone
*Peroxide
*Hydrogen peroxide
*Death

MARCH 21

GOOGLE:

*How to make Chloroform
*Self Defense
*House hold weapons
*Neck breaking
*Shovel

WICOPIDEA:

*Shovel

BLOGSPOT.COM
SCISPOT.COM
DRUGLIBRARY.COM
INSTRUCTABLES.COM

*Making weapons out of house hold products
*Chloroform
*Chloroform Habit
*How to make Chloroform
*Chloro2

Yes, you're right about Caseys TV habits, my daughter is not a CSI watcher- more of Greys Anatomy type of girl! LOL

I wonder if Casey googled chloroform, clicked on the wicopedia link (do you think they mean wikipedia???) and then clicked on one of the many words on the page that are highlighted which would show as additional wico search.

Who knows, I'm confusing myself at this point.

BUMP!

Hmmm. Still curious about this. When that Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick got in all his trouble with the woman he was exchanging text messages with, I thought the messages were obtained from the cell phone records. I could be wrong.

Does anyone know for certain if text messages can only be retrieved from a phone, and not phone records?

They did it to verify his identity because he willingly emailed his chats to LE. They were largely benign but supported the image of KC as needy / clingy / flirty. He is not on the witness list.

The witness list is most certainly not complete. Remember, we haven't even seen the documents pertaining to the investigative work/findings during the months of Oct./Nov. I strongly believe that the prosecution's case was solidified during that time. LOTS more to come.

According to George in the interviews with the FBI the BOA calls were about a forged $4,000 deposit slip Kc forged when they sold Georges toyota - he - he doesnt say but i assume KC stole the $4,000 . The $359 from grandma Shirley didnt purchase a phone but paid KC cell phone bill - that was shown in the docs somewhere With cell phone bills like that no wonder the family was strapped for cash and why didnt they address it ? They had to know - To me this is a huge RED FLAG - this family didnt know how to manage what money they do have .

Resurrecting this little old thread to investigate March a little bit more.

Been sleuthing around in the computer forensics thread....Hat's off to Bond, JWG, Valhall, and others for amazing work there!

Obviously March 17 is the day of the famed chloroform search. I thought JWG had a good theory going showing that she bounced around a lot of these searches for chloroform, weapons, etc. and spent very little time at these sites and was not doing any serious reading given the time she spent there. Then I listen to the testimony today, and it would seem she had accessed certain pages multiple times, is that what I'm understanding?

Re-reading that thread also gave me some further questions about March the significance of March. Consider:

The computer searches
The One Tree Hill Episode
ICA birthday (possible friction with CA over partying, childcare, etc.?)
St. Patricks' Day (also date of computer searches, and important to ICA)...same as above with CA?
March 15 IIRC - fleas: There are several searches about getting rid of fleas. A poster on the thread pointed out that Tracy M. made a statement in an interview that CA had told her that the only time she really got on ICA about the care of Caylee is when Caylee had all these flea bites....presumably not from the A's dog, as I just don't think ICA was the person in charge of caring for the A's pets....

Also pointed out on the thread that the escort searches really pick up in intensity around this time.

I'm saying March, but really, this is all in the span of a week, that March 14-19 time frame...was this time period the peak of a building storm in the A home? Is there any other info we know about this window of time? It appears the State wants to show that this is when the premeditation of the crime began, and if so, it would be logical to ask what triggered those thoughts....

Yes, something to add that maybe you can help with and I'll go back there myself: Within those search/computer timeline threads, there is a poster who points out that there were credit card transactions that CA confronted KC with back in March 2008. First, I guess I need a link to that info.
Then, a poster points out that, a day or two after KC is (likely) confronted by CA about the money, around March 21st, KC writes a MySpace or Facebook message to Lee, thanking him for being the one to stick up for her.
If this can be nailed down with more detail, perhaps we are actually getting ever closer to showing that KC wanted to kill Cindy, not Caylee, back in March. I have never understood why a household weapon or even neck-breaking would be necessary to research when it comes to killing a fairly helpless little child. But killing an adult, I can see it. And if they got into a fight about money, then KC makes these searches, then she indicates Lee has stepped in to help them resolve, we have a better understanding what those searches may have been about.
All of the above, however, is desperately in need of linkage and back-up, so we know I have not fallen off my rocker again.

The way CA looked on the WFTV trial part 12 (during the sidebar) seemed to make me think she knows what happened in March to cause all those searches and their significance.
