Quoting myself...sorry...but I want to counter my earlier info with this
.
The lawyer said Spierer was seen by at least two other people after leaving Rossman's apartment.

He said Rossman was not the witness police said saw Spierer rounding a corner on her way home.

A neighbor at Rossman's building, Keith Turner, identified the man who reported seeing Spierer last as another neighbor who is good friends with Rossman.

Hmmm my gut feeling is that CR was way too out of it to have anything to do with Lauren's disappearance.. although maybe his friendship with her was the reason behind it. JMO

I still don't get this...

they get into an altercation in her apartment building; possibily in the elevator...sounds like it must have been a good punch...wouldn't Lauren and CR been a little bit scared to walk out of the building knowing they just had an altercation with "several" people...why not go into her apartment? why risk putting yourself back out on the street? that doesn't make sense to me...

it also doesnn't make sense that the boyfriend was worried so quickly after not receiving texts from her...most people would just immediately think they were with friends after a night of drinking...it just doesn't all add up

Apparently the "altercation" at the Smallwood involved friends of LS's boyfriend who didn't like her going into her apt with another guy. If true it may not be a factor in the abduction but I never dismiss a "coincidence".

Smoothoperator above states that the "mystery man" who claims to have seen LS walking towards College and 11th alone at 4:15 was caught on video walking with LS at that time. If this is true, it would be a bombshell but I can't verify it anywhere.

I thought the keys that were found on the alley were not LS's. Now they are being reported on again. Does anyone know the story? If they belong to LS, it raises a big question: If she went home via College, how did they get in the alley? It was earlier speculated that she lost them IN ROUTE to CR's place. That would mean that LS lost not only her phone and shoes that night but her keys as well and she would have been unaware that she had lost her keys since she headed back to the Smallwood without them.

I thought the same thing at first about the BF being so quick to worry about her the following morning. But the more I think about it, how much of that do we even know is true? The one thing that sticks out to me is that the source claimed that he was so worried he even went to her roommate's class to get the apartment key. It's summer break! I guess the roommate could be taking summer classes, who knows. I don't think the BF'd immediate worry necessarily implicates him, but does make me wonder what was going on or what he knew or suspected that made him so concerned. Or maybe he though Lauren spent the night with another guy and he was not so much worried for her safety but worried that she might be with someone else, cheating on him or whatever. But I guess he is the one who reported her missing later that afternoon. IDK. Just thinking...

Is it possible that they left the building because the friends were going to call/text/whatever the boyfriend and they didn't want to be there if/when he showed up?

What gets me is that original statements said that he was "bothering" her and that is what the confrontation was about, but if he was "aggressive" and "bothering" her why would they let her leave with him?

Lauren is a small girl. I'm about her size, and have a ton of male friends. If one of my friends was being "overly aggressive" towards me to the point were others felt the need to confront him or thought I was going to be put in danger they would have dragged my little, tiny, drunken butt kicking and screaming away from him. They wouldn't have let me walk out of my building with him. Sounds like this story is taking an interesting twist.

Could be that it was out of character for her to not answer texts. I am a quick responder with texts. It is not uncommon for my bf to worry if I haven't answered a text within a couple of hours. Not report me missing worried, but worried. You also have to take into account that Lauren has a heart condition that can be dangerous, especially if coupled with drugs/alcohol...so that might also explain his concern.

That's a good point b/c obviously they initially had intentions of going to her apartment, so apparently something about the altercation changed their minds.

156 survelliance cameras in Smallwood...

That sure is a lot!! I never realised how massive the apartment complex was until I saw that footage- looks like 100's of apartments! I dunno if that's normal lol we don't really have places like that in New Zealand!

[/B]

I took it as he recognized her when he realized she was missing, as in that he had seen her around before, not that he saw her that night...?

I think the apartment that she supposedly had visited was 2 doors down from CR's apartment. The student on the video (wearing glasses) says that he thought he (whomever in that apartment said LS left from there to walk home at 4:30) was crazy ("I thought he was crazy...") since he has seen LS walking past there before---not that she had ever been inside that apartment (the one 2 doors down). Wonder if the student who spoke in the video lives in that very same apartment as well?

The last person to see LS is the unknown male who lives 2 doors down from CR. Don't like the keys on the railing. May be a back exit door.

Better yet why would Lauren leave with CR if he had been bothering her? Does that make sense?

Maybe Lauren & CR left the bar without her shoes and cell because things were heating up there. The BF's friends just did not like that she was talking, dancing, standing too close to CR.

Perhaps they stopped by her apartment so she could grab a pair of shoes, but the confrontation happened. After that, it just seemed like a good idea to get out of there and get him home to his own apartment. Remember, these kids were all under the influence to one degree or another. They weren't necessarily rational in their decision making.

As for her keys, could she have dropped or set them down while helping CR walk? Drunk and just plowed in the face wouldn't equal a steady gait.

So the student wearing glasses (identified as Keith T on the videotape) who speaks on the tape, lives in the same apartment as the last person to see LS. He lives 2 doors down from LS (below). That's why he says, "I thought he was crazy..." The reference may be to his roommate-last person to see LS as she left his place @ 4:30 AM:

We've also learned other surveillance cameras may have shown Lauren walking behind Rossman's apartment around the time of her disappearance.

Keith T lives two doors down from Rossman.

Did she know she didn't have her keys, or how did she intend to get into her apartment?

We were getting so much information at first, it seemed like a breath of fresh air to finally see a case where info was coming out. But now it is so confusing and garbled, it is hard to know what to believe or know is true.

The reward is up to $145,000...a lot of money if someone indeed knows something critical.

Parker did say police have found an image of Spierer on tape from a security camera in an alley. It showed her with someone else walking from a friend’s apartment to her apartment, Strong said.

I believe I posted this upthread. I can't identify who Strong is. Also, "from a friend's apt to her apt"...wouldn't that mean when she was on her way home from CR's building?

Thanks for posting the link again, Epiphany. I haven't seen that reported anywhere else, and I have to wonder if the writer didn't turn things around. This is what others are reporting regarding the street cameras, and it comes directly from Lt. Parker.

This footage is “basically just her presence” going through those camera fields,” Parker said. She is with someone else in this video “making their way” to the apartment, Parker said.

“Basically, the videos do show her going toward the other apartment, but there’s not video directly on that apartment,” he said. “So, that’s the last video we have.”

Spierer is with “somebody else” in this video, he said, and they are making their way to the other apartment building she visited.
