As I recall, the PIs said that neither call was answered. One was to DR and the other was to an unnamed male friend. If I am wrong, please let me know.

yes exactly Ros, neither was answered, supposedly. But you don't have to "answer" a text. This is very important. You receive a text, get all the info therein, and don't text back.
I'm tech challenged. But, the service provider could possibly be able to indicate whether a text was clicked on therefore read, IDK. Not answered could then mean, read but did not text back.

Let's all post two things we think may be true or could be true in Lauren's case. IOW, JOO. and speculation.

1. She was separated from her escort CR at some point after 2:52

2. The bar manager witnessed/aggravated Lauren
having a severe head injury.

Wow! Lots of discussion about the Martinsville area in past threads, and a white pick-up truck was towed. Barn with White Pickup.jpg

As much as I have never thought that what happened to Lauren was done by a stranger, the idea that the Spierer's could get some answers makes me hopeful that this could be something. I fear that if the 5N crew is responsible for Lauren vanishing (as I have always believed), her family will never get answers.

Oh, what breaking news! After all this time, there is something suspicious about this guy that tied pieces together for LE and the FBI to look closer.

Please, let them find the evidence to prove that Lauren's remains are here and this is her murderer. Her parents, family, and friends have been living a nightmare too long. Don't let this be a false lead.

Again, the white pick-up appears! Ugh, would it still have Lauren's scent in it as a liive person?

He was arrested for domestic battery in 2011 - http://www.therepublic.com/view/around_town/loc_pf/791

He has felony charges pending in Marion County for 35-42-4-5(c)(3)/F6: Performing Sexual Conduct in the Presence of a Minor touch or fondle oneself and 35-45-4-1(a)(3)/F6: Public Indecency but def. has prior unrelated conviction under (a) or (b).

In Johnson County he has several charges pending for 35-45-4-1(a)(4)/F6: Public Indecency a prior conviction and a trial scheduled for 04/05/16.

Also in Johnson County, a pending misdemeanor - Leaving the Scene of an Accident Driver fails to immediately stop at the scene.

He's also been charged in the past with harassment, invasion of privacy and violating a protective order. Going back to 2000 there are multiple charges of indecent exposure including in front of children. He's been doing this repeatedly, and for a long time.

He's 5'9, 230 pounds, divorced in 2009.

im not as informed about this case or I've forgotten stuff. What does the white pickup have to do with everything?

I'm sure someone else can explain better but early in the investigation police announced that they were looking for a white pickup that was spotted circling the block twice near where Lauren would have been last seen if JR was being truthful. A still photo of the video of the truck was released.

Ultimately police said they had found the owners of the white truck (I believe they were said to have been on their way to work) and that the truck hadn't actually circled the block a second time but rather that there was an error in the time stamp of the camera/s it was seen on.

I think some people still wonder if the statement by police "clearing" the white truck was entirely correct/truthful.
