Avon police sent an alert about a missing Hendricks County mother.

According to the Avon Police Department, Najah Ferrell was last seen on March 15 around 3 a.m. at her home near Dan Jones Road and County Road 100 South.

Since then, no one has heard from her. She was initially reported missing to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, which turned the case over to police in Avon.

Ferrell is 30 years old and approximately 5’4” and 180 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should contact the Hendricks County Communications Center at 317-839-8700 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-TIPS.

Indiana mother Najah Ferrell still missing after disappearing on first day of new job

The first day at a new job can be stressful -- especially when your shift starts at 5:00 a.m. But on March 15, 2019, Najah Ferrell was ready for her first day of work at a Panera Bread restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana. She got up at 3:00 a.m. at her home in Avon, Indiana, a suburb 30 miles west of Indianapolis, to get ready.

"She got up for work and told [her fiancé] to get the kids out, because she had to go in,” Najah’s mother Paula Gholson told NBC affiliate WTHR. “He said that's the last time he saw her.”

I wonder what they found?

"An aerial search next to a local highway is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, based off a lead Det. Nugent hopes will prove promising.

“The area that we’re searching [Tuesday] is relevant to a piece of personal property found next to a highway,” Det. Nugent told Dateline. He was unable to detail what item was found, but confirmed it belonged to Najah."
 
She was going to her first day at her job at Panera Bread per the MSM. The location closest to where it is reported her car was found (86th/Michigan ) is 3824 E 82nd St, Indianapolis, IN 46240

On tv this morning, they said her car was found at the Studio Movie Grill and showed a pic of it. They also were talking about her belongings being found and flashed a pic of a field near an on/off (?) ramp (which I assume is is the location they described as being near I-65 near Lafayette Road).

LE will be on tv tomorrow discussing this disappearance.

Around 1:30am Tuesday a metro officer on Indy's northwest side located Ferrell's 2018 Nissan Altima in the parking lot at Studio Movie Grill. The car was in a parking spot in the out-lot of the property not far from the McDonald’s restaurant. Investigator want to hear from anyone who works or shops in that area who may have witnessed someone driving the Nissan. Detectives are checking all of the nearby businesses to see if security cameras may have captured video that would help.

Avon police also located some of Ferrell’s personal belongings along I-65 near Lafayette Road. The area is full of brush, trees and woods which may offer more clues in the case.

The 30-year-old mother of two, who also serves as a foster parent, was seen last by her fiance and children last Friday reportedly headed to work. The same day she was scheduled to pick up another foster child for the weekend but never showed up. Najah’s mother knew even more so that something was wrong because her daughter would never let down a child expected a foster stay.

I live close to Avon. Locally it was being said that she was going to work at the Panera Breads on Raceway Road which is only a few miles, so the 3am wake up was a little extreme. Curious what avenues the investigation has gone. Since there are foster children involved I wonder if LE are investigating the parents?

As reported through local news stations yesterday, Najah Ferrell's vehicle has been located by our partners with @IMPDnews, however Najah remains missing at this time. Our agency will host a press conference on Thursday, March 28th at 1:00 p.m. with Najah's family.
