It looks like we're getting to the end of this case.
04/15/2020 = Final PreTrial Conference for Ashley N. Garth: (no trial date)
05/01/2020 = Final PreTrial Conference for Christopher Mathis: (no trial date)
06/01/2020 = JURY TRIAL for Talitha Beckley
07/13/2020 = JURY TRIAL for Garett Kirts
As there is no trial date set for Garth, can we assume she is doing a deal too?

As there is no trial date set for Garth, can we assume she is doing a deal too?
I just checked MyCase and there's still no other dates scheduled for her. Seems like there would be if she was going to trial. MOO (and it's not an expert one)

I'm surprised Kirts is going into day 3 on his other charges. I wonder if it's still being tried or if the jury is deliberating. Or does it usually just take this long?

VINElink shows all parties are still at Newton County jail; except for Beckley, who appears to be out on bond. The transport orders list the party as Kirts; the one for "Victim/Witness" doesn't give a name.

Here's a history of transport orders; they should be in CaCo. Maybe VINElink isn't up to date?

A Google search tells me a trial typically runs from 4 to 5 days. The first day of trial often includes meetings with the Judge to decide certain evidentiary issues, stipulations and procedures. It may also include jury selection if the case is tried before a jury and not a judge ( bench trial).

Since Newton Co and Carroll Co are only a little over an hour apart, is it possible they are leaving Kirts in Newton until all the meetings, jury selection, etc are finished?

I thought Garth was out on bail too. Is that not right?
Why is there no reporting of this case at all?

No he is held without bond. Unless something happened in court?
Don't know "why" there is no reporting....

I wish we had an attorney to explain how some of these filings work. Maybe they haven't even had the trial? I wonder if the same jury would hear both cases, one right after the other? The same Judicial Officer is presiding over both cases: Judicial Officer: Fouts, Kurtis

If I'm understanding the info correctly that you posted @FrostedGlass - the 1st case you posted has been continued - ??
But the 2nd case - Invasion of privacy is still going on??

Confused....

for now I will stop posting the info for trial....

Niner, I don't know what's going on with these cases. Maybe they are just a little slow in posting the Order Granting Motion for Continuance for the Invasion case? All the other dates coincide with each other.
