*Sentencing Hearing (@ 8:30am CT) – IN – Nicole Lynn Bowen (30) (missing March, 29, 2019, Jefferson Township, Newton County, found March 30, 2019) – For *Christopher Channing Mathis (27/now 28) arrested (4/10/19) & charged (3/28/19) with felony count of assisting a criminal & obstruction of justice. Plead not guilty. $50K bond Surety only.
Trial was set to begin on 4/6/20 than moved to 4/29/20-was vacated due to coronavirus.

5/1/20 Update: Final pretrial hearing on 5/1/20 has been rescheduled due to the coronavirus. Rescheduled for 6/12/20. 6/12/20 Update: Hearing held. Setting cause for dispositional hearing on 6/22/20.
6/22/20 Update: Hearing commenced & concluded. My understanding of Dismissed Without Prejudice means they can bring it back up again. I wonder what their thinking is that they might need to do it? If he commits another crime and they want to add more time to it, can they bring this charge back or does it only apply to this case?

This is the only thing I can find; what I'd really love to know is who he conspired with.

Christopher Channing Mathis, 28 of Kentland, was arrested by the Newton County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for conspiracy to commit dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance (Level 6 Felony), and dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance (Level 6 Felony).
