Guilty!!
Ashley Garth found guilty on all three charges in murder trial
KENTLAND, Ind, (WLFI) - On Friday, a jury found Ashley Garth guilty on all three charges for the murder of Nicole Bowen.

As we've previously reported, Bowen's body was found on a rural Newton County property in 2019. She was found wrapped in a blanket and bound by tape in an abandoned semi truck trailer. She was strangled to death by an extension cord.

Garth faced charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and assisting a criminal. Garett Kirts is also serving time for his involvement in Bowen's murder. He is serving a 55 year sentence. Garth's sentencing hearing is set for June 9th.
ETA Part of Nicole’s 10 yr old son’s statement:

"Hello, I'm Korbin Bowen, the son of Nicole Bowen, my mom, the same person you took away from me.

This started two years ago, the day I learned I would never hear her voice, or feel her hugs again. That day I was in my bedroom playing games, and I heard crying from upstairs, and in my head I knew something had happened to my mom. "What's wrong?" I thought. Well after about 30 minutes I was called upstairs to the the worst words of my life "Your mom has passed."

Ever since then I thought about it and how my little brother and I won't have a mom to talk to. How he and I will celebrate our birthday's without a mom. How all he has is me and my grandparents to tell him about the silly things she would do.
ETA: So heartbroken for her children and loved ones:(
Thank you for sharing. My heart aches for her sons.

I finally emailed reporter Anna Darling from the link below as May 18 was the last time I saw Ashley's trial reported on. Hope she has some news for us!

911 caller, crime scene tech testify in Ashley Garth murder trial
Sorry for the tardy update. I did receive a response from reporter Anna Darling and she apologized that she wasn't able to cover more of Ashley Garth's trial than the first day but that she kept in touch with Nicole's family and posted their statements in the news link reporting the guilty verdict.

Ashley Garth found guilty on all three charges in murder trial

@FrostedGlass - probably a bit too early to ask if Beckley has the next court date yet in the court site?

TIA! :)

Thanks, @FrostedGlass.

I can't believe we have a July trial date! I wonder if Beckley's ever gone all the way to trial before?

After Ashely lost her deals and found guilty, I wonder if she's having second thoughts about being the hold-out?

Just briefly checking her records... all I see are pleas. I'm not sure what she's going to do. Since I've seen no new charges, I thought she was heading in the right direction.

Now I see she's been having some problems with that burglary case in Pulaski County that she was on probation for. There's something about a rescinded warrant, etc. I'll have to take a better look in the morning.

Pulaski is this one 66C01-1810-F4-000013
This is her Newton Co case 56D01-1904-F5-000411

Thank you. I've said all along that it seemed to me that Beckley must be believed by her family and friends as safer sitting in jail where she can stay clean. Unfortunately, a potential probation issue would not surprise me. Regardless of any breaks received, Beckley and Mathis both just can't seem to stay away from jail. MOO

Their cases are a mess; this is just for the PC theft case.

After she left Rockville, someone posted a bond for her (Newton Co) but it looks like she was served almost immediately with the rescinded warrant. No info on what county that warrant came from. In April, Pulaski Co served a new warrant on her and filed to have her probation revoked.

Court appointed Mark Leeman as her counsel but she declined and Mark Leeman is representing her as of 05/14. Someone bonded her out on 5/05 with $500 cash and she now has this scheduled:

06/14/2021 = Fact Finding Hearing
Session: 06/14/2021 1:30 PM, Judicial Officer: Welker, Mary C
Comment: State's Pet. to Revoke Def.'s Probation filed 4-22-21
