I told Cyndy that I thought it was a bad choice. She's a Missourian like me. We arent' discriminatory against those New Yorkers, we just do things a bit different and less slick. :)

Still catching up here...

It was my impression that one of the reasons she was let go was she was causing more harm than good (publicity wise) with the way she was going about calling press interviews, making statements about doing tours, then backing out. I think her comment about 'we need a break' when asked about cancelling another home tour (I think) was the final straw.

He wasn't just mad at her about the lights thought. He was mad she also left the door unlocked and a window open. Put it all together, combined with the fact that he worked all night and was tired to begin with and I can see where he would be pissed off.

I don't know if I've ever heard them say or suggest an intruder turned on the lights. They just simply answered an open ended question about the lights being on with a yes/no.

Yes they did IMO. Perhaps not in as many words but:
A. DB said that she turned the lights off.
B. When Jeremy came home the lights were on.
C. They said or agreed that this was very unusual, not normal at all.
D. They were looking for an intruder who came in and took Lisa in between A and B.

The implication taking A + B + C+ D together was IMO clear that we were meant to think that the intruder turned on the lights.
It was discussed a lot and they did not bother to correct this misunderstanding although they can hardly have failed to learn of it.

But that's just :cow:

But on point C, they were not just talking about the 'lights' as far as things being unusual. You need to put all three aspects together (lights, window, door) IMO.

Your comment is based on a perception by Tacopina. I will tell you the things I have seen inside is that neither wanted to play second chair to the other. You can't have two chiefs. The family made a choice, likely promulgated by Stanton's connection with Tacopina, and the benefactor tied to Stanton, and cousin LeRette tied to the benefactor, IMO....I would bet they were encouraged to stick with Tacopina.

All three things were supposed to show us that there was an intruder who broke in. But she said she left the window open and that she's not sure if she locked the door either, and now she may have left the lights on too.

It's not very unusual for a door or a window to be open or lights to be on after you left it so IMO.

She said that when she's drinking she just goes to bed without saying goodnight or goodbye to her guests when she's had enough and it sounds to me like going to bed without locking the doors and turning off the lights could go with that.

I dunno... it could be that when the lights were discussed she hadn't come out with the drinking yet and couldn't very well say she left the lights on because she often does when she's drunk.

Ron,

When speaking to DB, were you able to get any feel about her as far as if there was 'remorse' or 'guilt' by how she spoke of her actions that night? There have been previous interviews where she had come across of defending her behavior that night (which of course sends a lot of folks off the handle).

I don't think that would be fair for me to respond. Don't read anything in to my lack of response other than I think much of my conversation with her should remain between us....at least, at this time.

This is an assumption on your part. I'm not sure why you assume that. I'm not going to comment either way or else I would be sharing my theory, which I said I wouldn't do.

Frankly, my observation is that whether it be here or FB, those who are adamant believe DB did it believe one is soft on her if you're not asking for her lynching. So, please, with all due respect, don't assume what my theory is.

That's fair. And, again, I am not assuming you are a bad person at all...in fact, I appreciate the information you give here. I also am not out to lynch DB. All I care about is that baby Lisa is brought home.

Right now, I have the DB haters on my backside. And, now, the family is no longer talking to me. I figure if everybody is ticked I must be very objective. :)

DB lovers? Do you mean people who have not passed judgement on someone with out all the evidence? That would be me, but am not on Ron's side.

IF Jeremy came home to find Lisa deceased WHY would he take her and dump her body into the river? It is his daughter, he would call 911 and request EMTs. LE did not require a LDT from him; is he that much of a psychopath that he could dump his daughter's body and act normal when questioned by LE? Deborah was buzzed/sleeping; if she doesn't remember turning the lights off, how did she drive with a dead baby? Again, she would call 911 and request EMTs.

Nobody is going to convince me that JI came home, was told BL was dead, said 'oh ok', tried to cover up whatever evidence there was, then decide to call in LE, all in 15 minutes time. I understand some folks don't like his personality, but that's a stretch.

I agree. Does anyone think this is what happened?

yes, either Bradley could have filed. However, it takes reasonable people to do it yourself.

It costs less than $100 for a divorce if both agree. You don't hire an attorney. It is filed by yourself in the courts. If two people are reasonable, it is very cheap to get a divorce. together you list the terms of what each wants. A judge signs off on it. I personally know many people with lots of money and real estate who have done this.

Certainly not an expert on divorce but believe it costs much more than that with children involved.

according to a quick google, whisperer isn't far off. one DIY website states $237 incl. child custody/support arrangements ;)

The reply was to KCPI when he said "Right now, I have the DB haters on my backside. And, now, the family is no longer talking to me. I figure if everybody is ticked I must be very objective." Nothing more....

there is nothing wrong with stating one's opinion (passing judgment?) on a website such as a discussion forum.

my undergrad is criminology (the study of criminals - not how to be one lol)... when the susan smith case broke i was hanging out with a geography major... he stated emphatically "mom did it". i disagreed mostly based on the tears and the pleas i had seen on tv and the fact that "mom's don't DO that!". a few days later it turned out he was right.

quite an eye-opener ;)

What if someone doesn't want to pass judgement at this time? Is that ok? Or does everyone have to take sides? No middle ground?

never said there was anything wrong with that...

the same goes for the flip side though... so i don't see why ppl who think DB is guilty of something are constantly getting criticized (and sometimes outright bashed) for having that opinion... (and i hope it's okay that i make this observation) but it seems TO's are issued more to one side than another in this forum fwiw.

knock off the bickering... it is getting really, really old peeps... please post responsibly!
