Here is the link. Had an.. interesting day (see last picture-note that was NOT Kyron related but a place we have been wanting to visit).. but over all the day/night ended on a good note.
I had started earlier labeling the pictures, but not going to finish now tonight it's too late..
the old abandoned house is not confirmed where searchers went, but it was the property right next to the road I saw the K9 searchers pop out of.

The K9 searchers were on the east side of Corn Pass.
There is a photo of the mailbox in the shots of the K9, this is directly ACROSS the street from where they were searching.

The DBF hunts and knows animal tracks, etc, and we drove down Old Germantown and he said he could see where A LOT of people went in.
Looks like they searched in between Germantown and Old Germantown.
One crew had just left, but I got a picture of the other SAR shuttle van, they were still in the field (we could not see them)

The balloon in the grass/ferns was very random, it was down a path that was obviously searched by searchers.. Just found it odd to see the balloon, I thought it probably came from the Wall of Hope as I've seen many of them exactly like that up there.

Here is the link, I'll add more details of where/what are in the pics tomorrow..

Nice work again freefallzzzz. Did you know KATU used one of your pics on their newscast? Here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2GE8t-TgrI&feature=player_embedded#!

Obviously they are putting a great emphasis on the area around the Germantown Road farm where DeDe was working the day Kyron vanished. Will be interesting to see if they search that area again today. If he is there I hope they find him before DeDe gets some kind of immunity or sweet deal. Still in general seems like a needle in a haystack to me.

Yes, thanks again, freefallzzz!

And congrats if they used your photo. BUT did they contact you first and get your permission? If not, they did a bad bad thing. Legally, and, IMHO, ethically.

Yea, yea, I'm always getting in a snit over journalistic ethics (or lack thereof). Someone needs to! heh heh :twocents:

p.s. is the reporter correct? They searched around Skyline School two Saturdays ago, or so, wasn't it? Or is this a different area around the school, or not around the school?

Agree.

The station needs to make arrangements to use your picture. Do not let this slide or you will not be enforcing your copyrights which means you lose your copyrights. They will have a reasonable going rate for purchasing rights to your photo. Please do this, please own your work. If it looks like they used your picture, please call them. Heck, it might work into a sweet little freelance job.

Let us know how this works out. It is important to artists and photographers to maintain your copyright.

What you said. YEA!

Free, if they didn't ask permission, and when caught try to say "well, you published it on the web so we thought it was OK" don't buy it for a second. You did not specifically release the use of your work for commercial purposes.

BTW, I didn't know that you were one of the "neighbors" in the area searched. Is that true? Or was that how they chose to explain how they got the picture and imply that it was given to them?

If they didn't ask you, call.

They've not shown themselves to have an ounce of integrity up to this point, why start now?

Free, don't let them get away with this!!!

Will the SAR teams be searching that area again today?

according to this cbs article yes

They were expected to return Monday.

also found this snip interesting (note it is the opinion of a talking head/BM)~

"It looks like Dede's opening up," attorney Bruce McCain, a former captain of the Multnomah County, Oregon Sheriff's Dept., told "Early Show" co-anchor Monday. " ... This is not a search-and-rescue. This is a forensic search for criminal evidence, more than likely, something very specific that Dede told them about. It could even very well be one of these untraceable cell phones."

I thought this bit about the cell phone or other evidence was interesting and potentially encouraging, because it means that such an extensive search doesn't necessarily imply that they are looking for remains.

ETA: And also that if they DO find evidence, it could be what is needed to find out what really happened and build a good case.

msnbc/today show video from this morning on the latest search:

So Dede is opening up, is she. I wonder if she got her immunity deal. It's good that she's finally talking. I hope they do find something and she gets into trouble for her part in this, whatever her part may be. And how dumb if she got rid of a phone on the property where she worked. I'm starting to think there's a Portland Women's Murder Club, and the only info they know is from books and television, good grief.

Well, if DeDe IS opening up I would have her in an orange vest and her hair up under a cap and have her out there also! Incognito.

LE and the prosecutors need to tell Ms. DeDe that the only deal would be if she were to lead them to Kyron, and even then not give her total immunuty.

I am so angry that anyone could know where Kyron is and not do the right thing. Sorry, I do know how all of this works and there are murderers who never give up the location of their victims. This kind of person deserves a very, very special place in h3ll. I am just so frustrated.

Please let today be the day Kyron is found!

I take McCain's statements with a grain of salt. He is just observing that since there is a massive search going on, supposedly from leads developed from her and her friends, that it must mean she is opening up. Not that he has any direct knowledge of her saying *anything* in particular or at all.

ITA and that is why I prefaced the snip with the caveat that it was the opinion of BM/talking head.

However, that being said, I do think his opinion, considering his profession is interesting

You are AWESOME!!! Thank you!! I live on the east coast; so, this is so very helpful for me to understand the area.

All this ... for cell phones?????
actually imagine what info could be gleaned from the cell phone...

jmhoo but I think they are searching for more than phones... "forensic evidence" though... they are looking for something connected to the case...
