GazaCNN —
Multiple militants from Gaza have entered Israeli territory, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Saturday, shortly after a barrage of rockets left one person dead and at least three injured.

Palestinian militant group Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.

Hamas military commander Muhammad Al-Deif released a recorded message, announcing operation “Al-Aqsa Storm” and saying the Palestinian militant group “targeted the enemy positions, airports and military positions with 5,000 rockets.”

The IDF has warned Israelis who live near Gaza to stay in their homes.

The rockets, which were witnessed by a CNN producer in Gaza, prompted sirens as far north as the Tel Aviv area, east to Beer Sheva, and many other locations in between.

Hey everyone,

Websleuths does not have enough staff, time, or specific knowledge of all Israel/Palestine/Middle Eastern affairs to be able to vet / research all the background of the various publications that members are sending us for approval. Chances are, we don't know any more than you do about a particular source.

Members are going to have to do their own due diligence by thoroughly checking out the background and credibility of the sources they are reading. If you are convinced that a source is legitimate, go ahead and link to it. If your post gets Reported by other members with an explanation as to any concern, WS staff will review it at that time.

Also, as Websleuths is located in the USA, linked articles need to be from MSM, government or other well recognized agencies or individuals, and articles need to be in English or with English translation.

Thanks to all for your cooperation.

Why are they picking on Samed Wajjeh? He has assisted a US journalist to track down a US family stuck in Gaza, to make sure they are safe.

It is not as if he is the only private citizen who has held an AK47 or the equivalent.

Poor Samed celebrated the massacre of 10/7 on his SM, which has since been scrubbed. Also, AK-47 is not the standard for civilians of Gaza. IMO.

I just had a look at his Instagram account ... lots of photos of what is happening to the people inside Gaza. Evidently, I have missed his celebration.
I wondered why the hostilities against him when there are whole countries whose citizens can legally have similar weapons, and sometimes post photos of themselves with these weapons.

And I had noticed he was trying to help find a US family for a fellow journalist. The family has since safely left Gaza BTW, according to the fellow journalist.

(Though I didn't call him poor Samed, I was just asking a question.)

Yemen is situated at the mouth of the Red Sea, the southern sea route to Israel and Egypt and the Suez Canal.

A spokesman for Yemen’s Houthi military, Yahya Sarea, said on Sunday the group would target all ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or carrying the Israeli flag, according to the group’s Telegram channel, Reuters reports.

The spokesperson called on all countries to withdraw their citizens working on the crews of any such ships.

Why is Hamas so determined to prevent the babies from life saving medical care?

WHY they moving the babies to Southern Gaza hospital, to continue to use as human shields?

Why will THIS hospital not release to a hospital in Egypt? They have made all the arrangement to care for them.

Many children have been moved to state of the art hospitals for cancer care, rehab and intensive care.

A World Health Organization team is heading to Shifa hospital in Gaza City to evacuate the babies, according to Mohammed Zaqout, the Hamas-appointed director of hospitals in Gaza.

An Associated Press reporter saw a convoy of ambulances, escorted by UN vehicles, heading north toward Gaza City.

The WHO has said it hopes to evacuate patients to southern Gaza.

The IDF, which has taken control of the hospital, has said it was working to evacuate as many patients as possible from the compound, which it says has been used by Hamas as a command center.

The National Security Council pushed back on a report that Israel and Hamas, along with the United States, are reportedly on the verge of a deal that would see dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza released in exchange for a five-day pause in fighting.

Senior prosecutors from the US, Germany, France, Argentina, and Austria visit Israel over the weekend to discuss how Hamas terrorists and senior officials responsible for the October 7 atrocities will be investigated and prosecuted.

The delegations all come from countries whose citizens were among those murdered in Hamas’s savage massacres in southern Israel.

They met with Israeli State Attorney Amit Eisman, as well as other senior officials in the Justice Ministry, to discuss the challenges involved in investigating Hamas terrorists and the plans to put them on trial.

“Hamas despicable crimes were directed not only against Israelis but against humanity in its entirety,” says Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares who is participating in the delegation.

“We will do everything in our power to fight this organization and its people everywhere they are.”

Israel is believed to have captured dozens of those who took part in the massacres inside Israel.

In my opinion, whatever happens to those little babies will be seen as propaganda by  somebody. I do hope IDF is making some serious progress at al-Shifa.

WHO is responsible for these babies, it's on them to move them to safety and an appropriate faculty.

I'm no expert on the rules of war, but I don't think IDF has the authority to assume care for any of the patients or move them. Circumstances might be different had the hospital surrendered. They did NOT.

To sick to move without special care but being sent to a hospital in "southern" Gaza. Did IDF not ask those in southern Gaza to move to the WEST coast humanitarian shelter?

I highly suspect the infant born in captivity is in the group, and infants from Hamas soldiers.

Holding these wee souls, is a crime in humanity, they are innocent. Moo

Good points.

Ohh, that's very possible. And naturally, Hamas would not want this known (imo).

For me they've become a symbol of this war.

If all these pro Palestinian protesters would stop spreading Hamas propaganda and instead demand that those babies be allowed to leave Gaza, it'd happen ASAP. As long as their actions are getting the desired result (ant-Iareali sentiment) those poor babies will be in danger.

Edited to add: Anybody up for a free the babies protest?

''EU Commission President slams violence by extremists in the West Bank

European Union Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has condemned "the unacceptable violence by extremists in the West Bank" and repeated EU backing for a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.'

"We agree that the cycle of violence needs to be broken. A two-state solution is the only way to achieve peace," Von der Leyen posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The head of the EU's executive body earlier met Jordan's King Abdullah II and said the EU would work with Jordan to ensure more humanitarian aid was delivered to the Gaza Strip.
"We will cooperate with Jordan on providing much needed humanitarian aid to Gaza," Von der Leyen said.''

''The war's lethal consequences have touched communities far from the Gaza Strip — including in Canada.
As of Friday, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) says it is "aware of the deaths of seven Canadian citizens and one with deep connections to Canada," though the department does not specify where those deaths occurred. ''
