Eylon Levy is all about the diplomacy, eh? He's not letting up
SBM

You know he’s a spokesman, not a diplomat. Not an ambassador.

His job is to speak to the world from the point of view of Israel. He does not need to be diplomatic. His job is to tell the truth and he isn’t bound by the protocol dance that diplomats have to engage in all the time.

IMO

Ahhh....
From my country's MSM

"Polish woman released by Hamas ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms.

:D

On Saturday,
Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that
a Polish citizen was among those released.

'We welcome the information about the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which allowed the release of the first group of hostages,
including a Polish citizen,
and increased supplies of humanitarian aid to the enclave.

This is the result of continuous international diplomatic efforts',

we read in a statement published on Saturday afternoon by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

'We congratulate all partners involved in achieving this important step.

We hope that the ceasefire will be maintained.

We emphasize the need to release all abducted people as soon as possible',
Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said."

Yes!!!
Wow!!! :D

I wonder what's that^^^ about?

Hamas wants the prisoners to be released in order of length of time served?

So they want those in the longest to be released first? That seems like a big ask, considering that would likely be the most violent, hardest criminals.

So I guess Israel had to accept Hamas sending children out without their mom's and Hamas has to accept the soldiers as they come?
Thank you! Yes. How about we honor Hamas' requests when they actually honor their part of the so-called agreement (six pages of bs, imo)?

Eylon Levy is all about the diplomacy, eh? He's not letting up... Maybe today is not the day for this kind of snark. I think everyone is just happy Emily is home.

<modsnip>It was Emily's father who said he thought she had been killed on Oct. 7th, hence the gentler word, "lost."

Mocking an Israel ally is an incredibly dumb thing to do but then, so is the slaughter of thousands of civilian families including children who were in their homes, refugee camps, hospitals.

Would you happen to know how many UN workers total are in Gaza and West Bank? And are there that many worldwide? I’ve seen numbers at 13,000 in Gaza and 4,000 in WB but also have seen as many as 30,000 combined. Either way, those numbers are staggering.
13000 (Gaza) & 4000 (WB) are strictly UNRWA employees (obviously some with side hustles)

You need to add up the totals of all the workers employed by UN agencies that are there; it's a very long list.

Creeping into a type of ''legitimacy'' imo.

From CNN's Andrew Carey

''Hamas has released a video showing the handover of the second group of hostages released to Red Cross officials from captivity inside Gaza.
The video is similar to one released after the first group of hostages were freed on Friday, and consists of a series of edited clips. It was released on the social media platforms of the Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing.
CNN was not present at any of the locations when the clips were filmed and had no control over the content.
The video shows several of the Israeli children being handed over to Red Cross officials, as well as Maya Regev, who was later sent to a hospital for treatment. She is seen making her way to the back of a Red Cross vehicle on crutches.
Some of the hostages are holding hands as they walk to the vehicles.
Hamas fighters in black balaclavas and green bandanas are present at all the handovers, along with Red Cross officials wearing white jackets and bibs clearly marked with the Red Cross logo.
In several of the clips, the gunmen wave goodbye to the hostages, who appear to have little choice but to wave and smile in return — a response under duress that likely reflects their relief at going home after seven weeks in captivity.
Another clip shows the four Thai nationals also being escorted to a Red Cross vehicle and climbing in the back. They, too, appear to feel coerced into waving and giving the ‘thumbs up’ sign to their captors.
All the clips were filmed after sundown and it is not clear if the handover points were the same as on Friday.
Unlike the video of the first group handover yesterday, the clip has audio throughout.''

'I know how cruel he is': Former dentist of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar says he always knew what terror chief was capable of

Dr Yuval Biton worked at jail where Sinwar, 61, was imprisoned in the late 1990
The former dentist of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar said he always knew what the terror chief was capable of.

Dr Yuval Biton worked as a dentist at the jail where Sinwar, 61, was imprisoned in the late 1990s and got to know the terror chief.

'I spent a lot of time with him...it was clear to me that he would rise to the very top within Hamas,' he told German newspaper Bild.

Dr Biton added that he spent more time with the terror group chief than with his own children and said the Hamas chief is brutal and extremely dangerous.

He said he could tell a difference between Hamas members from Gaza and fro West Bank, with those from Gaza being far more radical and uninterested in compromises.

Hamas killed 1,200 Israelis and took another 239 back to Gaza to hold as hostages.

One of them is Dr Biton's nephew, Tamir, a German citizen whose father fled from the Nazis in 1934

During his time in Israeli prisons, Sinwar allegedly had brain cancer for which he received life-saving surgery. 'We saw his kind of gratitude on October 7,' Dr Biton said.

To give Palestinians, not Hamas.
Kind of the same thing right now. Hamas is the controlling organization.

I hear two explanations:

Hamas represents Gaza because they were voted in years ago and the people are OK with it

OR

Hamas has control only because the people are afraid and cannot defy them

But either way, Hamas seems to be able to steal all the foreign aid, take their supplies and build secret tunnels under public buildings like schools and hospitals, etc.

So if Gaza became a state, would Hamas continue to have control?

Look at what we have seen on video in last few days----large celebrations when prisoners released and the crowds are full of green Hamas headbands and flags.

And we saw a couple of incidents where the locals killed people they suspected of being anti-Hamas, in public executions. So right now, Hamas still has a lot of control.

If Gaza became a state right now, Hamas would be in charge, IMO. JMO

Were ALL Germans Nazi??

Were ALL citizens of USSR dominated countries communists?

Are ALL Colombian citizens members of drug cartels?

Are ALL Italians Mafia members?

And the list of questions goes on and on....

Simplified view of the world IMO.

And negative stereotypes.

Which lead to dehumanization of people,
meaning:
depriving a person or group of positive human qualities.

Not to mention in seemingly good physical state.
They were not dragged or being screamed at.

This is what I saw.

JMO
Why would they have to be dragged or screamed at to come to meet the Red Cross to take them home?

We have seen videos of them being dragged and chased at gunpoint---many videos from 10/7---where they were screamed at, assaulted and dragged away.

This 'release' video was all nicely staged and packaged for CNN etc---the nice terrorists are lovingly helping the elderly 'guests' out to their waiting limos.

These same terrorists broke into these people's homes at sunrise and brutally killed their family members and kidnapped these 'guests', holding them for ransom. Of course they look to be alive and well--- each one is worth 3 released criminals. JMO

IMO, whether ALL Germans were Nazi's is not really the issue. The point is there were enough that were to make it possible for Hitler to rule the country.

And their chosen leader was the head of the Nazi organization and he was able to start a World War and keep it going long enough to kill 6 million victims.
Were ALL citizens of USSR dominated countries communists?

Again, enough of them were so that it enabled the governing body to enact Communist policies.
Are ALL Colombian citizens members of drug cartels?

Of course not, that is not a political party. Unlike Hamas or PLO or the Nazi Party.
Are ALL Italians Mafia members?

Again, not relevant to this situation. Italians did not vote for the Mafia to represent them.
And the list of questions goes on and on....

Simplified view of the world IMO.
Yes, some people here do have a simplified view of things. I agree

Who is making negative stereotypes ? The ant-semites?

A list of all 26 hostages released so far.

Twenty four hostages — including 13 Israeli civilians and 11 foreign nationals — were freed on Friday, followed by 17 more — 13 Israelis and four Thai nationals — on Saturday.

The cruelty of Hamas.

Hamas is embedded in the UNWRA. We have proof in the photo posted upthread. We have proof in the k-12 school curriculum since 2007.

This child is calling out to shooters to not shoot her. After she realizes the soldiers are there to protect her she tells them she has a baby with her and her mother is dead in the front seat.

Release of Thai nationals sounds like a separate deal with a different government than Israel.

Was the deal with Israel 50 hostages for 150 prisoners over 4 days? That's 13 people per day. Hamas has to release another 25 hostages in the next 2 days. After that, the ceasefire will continue if Hamas continues to release 10 hostages each day.

We will soon know whether Hamas prefers to see the destruction of Gaza or whether they choose ceasefire and deliver Hamas murdering terrorist criminals to humanitarian courts. If the accused are innocent, or brainwashed, they should make their argument and then accept civilized life has no room for random murder massacre based on religious differences.

" 'This is not going to end well':

Trump makes chilling prediction after ZERO Americans were freed in first two days of Israel-Hamas hostage deal as

he blasts Biden

Thinking a therapy dog would help the little ones with faraway eyes.

Emily's father was going to bring her dog with him to the border crossing tonight, but I guess he wasn't able to. Probably a good idea with all the chaos, but he knew that Emily would want to be reunited with her dog as soon as possible.
