Now with the watch theory being spoken about it's worth remembering the quote from Lucy in the early days of the search
"I'd left the festival to come back to my hotel early because I was tired. Jay had stayed on with two new friends he'd made and a guy who we'd come with so there were four of them"

There was a fourth person with them, could have been Brad but people seem to think he went home early too.
How many people were they on the trip with? We only know of Lucy, jay and Brad so far...
I believe Brad stayed on longer than Lucy but then went home by himself later on

When I heard that, I thought to myself if it takes specialist to search the area how likely is it this is where he disappeared?
It could be areas where, if he has fell, he would have maybe landed in. Unfortunately these areas are so dense that even the dogs can’t get to them and the drones have no visual.

See she's saying festival I thought that had finished and his last sightings was at the club on the strip, maybe just the newspaper getting it wrong

Unfortunately I think this young lad was in a inebriated state and decided To go for a walk in the hills. He may have been dehydrated and disorientated which may have led to poor decision making on treacherous terrain. Misadventure I'm guessing.
And everyone is entitled to their opinion, certainly seems like the most obvious answer but could he really have got that far. Would have thought there would have been a lot of birds about feasting

The rave was held at a club on the strip. Papagayo I believe People stayed behind at other bars and clubs that were still open after it had finished

In one of the threads someone posted a picture that showed several cactuses on the side of the road in the area he was walking, while he was walking along the road it is possible a car/lorry/bus came towards him in a narrow area and he moved out of the way cutting his leg on cactus in the process
What a shame he didn't manage to flag down whatever vehicle forced him into a cactus.

I don't think that any car "forced him into a cactus".

IMO
he decided to cut the way leaving the road.

As his call to Brad indicated.
He left the road, and was not cut by a plant.

It happened later.
As was reported during a call with Lucy.

His good mood vanished.
He became disoriented, thirsty and was injured.

They may be with holding information for their own protection if they were all mixed up in something bad?
I don't understand why he wouldn't have just gone back to the house where the 2 people were- either to wait for the bus or ask for a lift if it was only a 15 min drive. They were supposedly friends so it shouldn't have been a problem.

Also a shame if none of the drivers on the road that day have come forward and reported seeing Jay , That is if Spanish police have made an appeal requesting this. Dash cam footage etc, It seems strange that no one saw him on the road that day

I agree.
There may well be cacti encroaching onto the road, but it's obvious Jay was cut by one when he was off road.

I think when it comes to teenagers ,they live this secret life anyway keeping mischievous behaviour to themselves and their group I also think in a group setting in a nightclub /festival your not always going to hear / see everything that's going on with each individual all at the one time ,I do agree with you on the fear of being in trouble themselves and moulding the truth to make it seem more innocent than they would like their parents or police and journalists to know and maybe its hazy memories for them as they would have been drunk /drugged up too and in general if myself and yourself were witness something my seeing and my hearing might be a different to your viewing and sighting, most teenagers would wake from a wild night out thinking that was a mad night and laugh about it similar to jay and brads facetime call what is unusual about this case is the amount of stuff coming out online first and everyone seems to be miles ahead in know ledge before the actual police by the looks of it Joe public is doing the investigative work ..God love the family and the friends certainly not your average traumatic life event and the not knowing is awful

It would matter though if foul play had occured which is still a possibility . There is no firm evidence that he walked off into the mountains. MOO
But there is, witness testimony is evidence. He states he was lost, doubtfully on the road. His friend also states he watched him sliding down a slope and walking off-road. Two of his closest friends place him off the road. That’s evidence. The police clearly have no reason to dispute that, hence the searching.
