Hey folks, please remember that Websleuths requires links. Even maps require links unless there is a chyron that is visible on the screenshot. Copyright rules require that credit be given to the original source.

Also, providing a link allows other members a quick click to go to the exact spot you're showing without having to search for it themselves.

Old WS adage .. NO LINK, NO POST !!

looks like this is the same guy:

"Police were called to Hermitage Road, Rishton, near the old paper mill, at 9pm on August 6, 2021, after Thomas Hilton – who was 17 at the time – had been chased and attacked by a large group of youths.

Following a trial, a jury came back and found the eight teenagers, some of whom cannot be named for legal reasons, all guilty of violent disorder.

MOD NOTE: As regards this article, a quick reminder from Etiquette & Information, linked below this post:

"VICTIM FRIENDLY

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing known victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civil and constructive way, and only when such behavior is known to be relevant to the case."

I hope to see Jay located safe soon.

MOD NOTE:

Hey folks,

Links to and discussion of fundraising is not allowed unless it is a fundraiser run by close friends or family AND even then, the only thing allowed is a possible snippet of a previously unknown fact regarding the specifics of the case itself (i.e. wearing black sneakers, or ??). The actual money figures, how it is progressing, and what the money will be used for are off limits.

Let's remember that a young man is missing, and that his mother is frantic to find him.

Thanks.

Here is the Official Facebook page (thanks again, @DanceCard & @kittythehare!) This is the only one. Others say official in the name - they aren't. JUST BECAUSE I'M POSTING THE LINK NOW DOESN'T MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE TO POST THE LINK LATER - threads move fast and not everybody reads every post. The link is required so that somebody reading on page 40 can still find the FB post you are talking about - and know that it's from the OFFICIAL FB post and not some jerk having a laugh at the expense of the victim.

The mod team is tiny - we don't have time to know all the details of all the cases and rely upon YOU to keep the threads factual.

Thanks for helping us!

"Massive new search

to be launched for missing teenager.

The family of missing teenager Jay Slater
are set to launch
an enormous search-and-rescue operation on Tenerife
in a final desperate bid to find him.

The decision means external search teams are welcome to launch a detailed search
'without any problem'
but must notify officers for 'proper coordination'.

The family are thought to be planning a major ground search over a very wide area of wilderness in the Masca region on the west of the island, where Slater was last spotted.

Their private search team -
which is expected to cost tens of thousands of pounds to fully deploy -
must liaise with police to ensure
'good management of information and resources'."

Suerte!!!

I noticed in this article ayub qassim runs the coffee shop near to the area of the festival and night club and I was wondering if he was working in this area would he not be familiar on a business level with the local police and if so was he questioned by the same police force concerning Jay's movements on the 17th of July and is that why they let him fly back to UK so quick also if ayub had to work on the island why would he get involved in robbing a watch wouldn't he be easily recognisable if burly Eastern European guy came looking it also says that that coffee shop was smashed up a few weeks prior so maybe he was getting off side in mesca which is why he was so far away from the main party area

Found this article, it's interesting when AirBnB guy no2 states that "you are talking to the wrong person "and also why would he say jay either got lost or were attacked I know that is the majority of people's consensus but we are not 1 of the last people to spend time with jay surely in that position and from what is assumed by law enforcement is that jay got lost imo lots of half truths been spoken for what ever reason by all whom interacted with jay that fateful night / early morning

A source told the outlet: “The Spanish police have failed to pick up all the threads and it’s time British detectives stepped in. Jay might have gone missing on Tenerife but many of the people he crossed paths with are British.”

On Friday the Guardia Civil asked voluntary organisations and members of the public with expertise in difficult conditions to come to northern Tenerife.

Dozens of experienced local firefighters, police and mountain rangers are leading the search, which is focusing on the ravines and trails around the village of Masca in the Rural de Teno national park and started from a local restaurant around 10:00 BST on Saturday morning.

Authorities had hoped the operation would be a “massive search” but less than 12 members of the public had arrived at the meeting point before it began.

Police confirmed Saturday's search would be in an area previously explored but it would be more extensive and detailed, to make use of the extra people now involved.

Still wont shut the cretins up I bet

Has anyone seen this?
he said. "To get through that undergrowth, you would have needed a machete," he told me. "And that's where his phone pinged. He just finds it unbelievable that Jay did end up in there because it's such difficult terrain to cross. In fact, he said if his phone was there, someone possibly threw it in there."

Kinda crazy
