Seems to me the only reason they went after Karr was Tracey and the emails...and being bolstered by Karr's comments in Thailand, the DA probably felt they'd slam dunk the DNA and go home laughing.

Well...Karr got a few nice dinners and a flight over the Pacific.
Am sure he'll be heading back to Cali now. Bet he's going to be disappointed.

But...whatever sentence he gets from that will have 4 months shaved off for time served from way back when.

CNN is also reporting that there's no DNA match.

It's interesting that just Friday the public defender said they would block the taking of DNA samples from John Karr. I wonder when the DNA sample was taken???

Also, what's in the arrest warrant that the DA has requested to be sealed as it contains evidents not known to the public?

I agree he needs to be put away somewhere anyways for those perverted things he was saying! He is a menace to society despite not killing her.

There has to be something more to the evidence than DNA! What, are they going to drop the case? Many cases in the past were tried before we had DNA results. Are they going to at least tell us what was in the affidavit? To think he'd be set free to prey on children again...it's just not right. Even if he's not a killer there's too many people saying he had inappropriate behaviour toward children.

And what about his statement that he was THERE when she died? It still doesn't rule out that he could have been an accomplice. I don't see how they can actually drop the case.

Because I would guess they have no other evidence.

The DA most likely was hoping to use his emails, his confession, and the DNA to pinch him.
That's it.

I'm guessing they haven't been able to place him in Boulder either.

I'm here, and just shaking my head. I was really hoping it was him, so this could be done.

....CNN reported late Monday that there were several unconfirmed media reports that the DNA sample taken from John Michael Karr didn't match the forensic sample taken from the JonBenet murder crime scene.


The report could not be verified and a judge has issued a gag order in the case, so comment from either side was unlikely, KUSA-TV in Denver reported.

Will someone from Caleeefoneea fly back to Boulder, pick up Karr and fly him back to my lovely state to create havoc here? I mean, he still has charges to face here but I'm sure they aren't gonna let MK walk out the door of the jail and tell him to report to Calif. Someone has to escort him, right?
