Early thanks to our transcribers for tolerating this drivel and faithfully helping all of us out. Thank you guys for taking one for the team....you don't get paid but I know we all appreciate your work.

And a BIG hug to the court stenographer......the poor dude has to record every.word.she.says.

TigerBalm: you had posted a pic of what bench pressing 520 lbs. looked like. According to JA her dad bench pressed 520 on his solo flex. I found that really unbelievable as with all of her testimony. Is it possible to do that and not be in a gym with a spotter? Sorry it has been bugging me.

Jodi appears to be turning it around and TA was the aggressor when it's pretty clear from her background she was very experienced and had no problems initiating sexual contact. jmo

Yep. That night at Sky's house we have a woman 25 years old who had been sexually active for 10 years and who had already lived with what- 3 or 4 men? And we have Travis who had never lived with a woman, never been disrespectful to any woman, who wore chaste Mormon undergarments and who was, in all likelihood, still a virgin.

And we're to believe he was the sexual aggressor who all but forced himself on her and then sped from the room? The gall.

Usually defense puts the defendant on last so is defense done once RM does his cross and Numni does his rebuttal?

I think they did it this way because they are going to put up the experts to explain why they think she was abused.

Juan will be ready though.

IMO

JA and TA third "sexual encounter" at a hotel on the Cali/AZ boarder. DT trying to pull out how these encounters "made her feel" trying to make her say she felt dirty and used.

Wasn't it Travis that said to her that he felt like he was only a dildo to her? This stuck in my mind yesterday as she droned on and on .......so who really was the sex aggressor in this mess? The only answer that pops in my mind is JA. She was the experienced one, per her own testimony. I feel so bad for his family....but admire that they are able to sit there.

Jodi even had the gall to talk to the Court Stenographer :what: I either read or heard she asked him to let her know if she was talking to fast :floorlaugh: Words to that effect. I found that hysterical. I think talking too fast is the least of her worries :great:

LambChop, I think Nurmi alluded to have a domestic violence witness, so Jodi may not be last. But Nurmi will get a rebuttal after Juan rips her a new . . . I mean cross examines her.

One thing throughout this case that has infuriated me.

Travis is being persecuted for his religion when his religion had nothing to do with why JA murdered him.:furious:

Its mind boggling to believe that a victim can be put on trial in 2013 because of their religion.

IMO

I can't imagine it would be specific to her. It would make sense that any time a person charged with a serious violent crime is unshackled in public that any available precaution would be taken to protect everyone present in the most effective least risky way possible.

Just to give a different example from another state re defendants in the courtroom....

The NC General Statutes state that a defendant who is on trial may not be shackled in any way & may not wear prison clothing in the courtroom during the trial. (This restriction does NOT apply to prisoners who testify & are not on trial. But that witness is also accompanied by an armed deputy.)

The prisoner/defendant is escorted in/out of the courtroom by at least one armed county sheriff's deputy. When the defendant is at the counsel table, he/she is closely guarded by usually 2 armed county deputies at all times.

:tyou: :nurse:

I only got to see some "snippets" from yesterday's testimony so this will help me get caught up !

But honestly, I just do NOT know IF I can watch much more of this bull**** that is spewing from JA's mouth !

:waitasec: It's like a form of "torture" ...

:great: I am looking forward to Mr. Martinez ripping another hole into Jodi because that will be :

:fireworks::fireworks:
omg...! :gasp:

I am just now watching what I missed (the entire portion after the afternoon break)

I. cannot. believe. what. I . am. hearing. and. seeing.

Some of the looks on his face (and I know it's not deliberate on his part) when the video freezes for a second, they need captions. The look is priceless. I don't think he is reacting to testimony because they type so fast it's hard to believe they have time to react because they have to stay focused on the words spoken. At one point before the jury arrived she spoke to him and smiled. He answered her and turned toward the jury and the look on his face looked as if he was saying to himself, oh brother am I going to be in trouble with the little woman when I get home. He's cute and should be given an award for his composure. jmo

He sure better have someone that can actually rebut what Juan is going to put forth in his rebuttal case.

It better be someone that actually saw him abuse her and not more of JAs 'she said.'

imo

For the first time in all my years of watching trials, I had to get up and walk away for a while yesterday. It was around the time Jodi was discussing Travis' sexual aggression in the first couple of encounters.

I did listen from a distance while I started making dinner, though. It was easier not having to watch it.

I can only assume that today she will kick into high pity-gear. I am so very interested in the time when she was meeting him half-way at the Hughes' home through her killer journey from Yreka.

I really don't care about the sex tape. It's all about fantasy, not reality.

I am secure in the knowledge that the defense will keep her on the stand all day today so that Juan Martinez can't get to her until next Monday.

That's okay with me. It gives Martinez and Flores more time to compare notes, consider adding witnesses to their rebuttal case. I also have more than a sneaking suspicion that Martinez has already got some dynamite witnesses for his rebuttal case to prove that Travis was not threatening Jodi's life in his last, helpless moments.

I can only hope the jury spends the long weekend thinking about Jodi's lying videos and information from the prosecution CIC.

I hope they spend hours pondering Jodi's flat affect and the fact that she speaks in riddles when it comes to her prior relationships. She uses so many euphemisms to cover herself. I have yet to understand "warm and fuzzy," "romantic," etc. She spends more time on useless details than on her personal emotions. I also hope the jury sees, as did we, the pattern of stalking.

BTW, I pretty much collapsed from exhaustion following the end of the trial yesterday. I laid down on the sofa to watch the HLN lineup, but it mainly put me to sleep with my two kittens purring! I did catch one interesting thing. One of the programs had a friend of Travis on. His comment was that, when discussing his relationship with Jodi, Travis taught him a new word: NYMPHOMANIAC!

Never have i witnessed the likes of it :what:

Good morning everyone. Looking forward to more testimony from the courtroom today, as gaggifying (my word) as it may be. I really feel that the defense is going to drag out their questioning for the entirety of the day, they want the jury to leave for the extended weeked with as 'good' an image of JA in their mind as they can. If they were to end direct and allow the beginning of cross, they take the chances of the jury stewing over the 'bad' JA images.

MOO

3 Hrs, 15 Minutes (we should have a count down clock)

Does anyone find it strange that JA claims to have had $10,000-$12,000 saved for a down payment on the house with Darryl? After all, she couldn't even pay the electrical bills etc in her shack with the previous guy she was living with etc etc. I call BS (again)

also: were you peeps BAD on the last thread? I heard about that! :nurse:

I wasn't, for a change...LOL.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone posting and transcribing, I have three threads to read.:eek:
