Speaking of immature males, after seeing Gus and hearing more about their "relationship" last night, I'm convinced Jodi also had a sexual relationship going on with him...in his dinky motor home. One of Travis friends spoke about his belief of that a couple weeks ago on one of the shows. I believe it. It all just fits (to me).

Hi I've not been in the courtroom all week (back Tuesday) but I'm guessing you are speaking of the mitigation specialist staring at the jury. She will have to see how well their fairytales are landing in order to craft a new set or not for the sentencing hearing. iMO

On Dr. Drew last night, Gus Searcy told us what he meant about the statement he made in court, but not in front of the jury. I was shocked at what he said because he kept it a very close secret until last night. He was never allowed to go into this statement on the stand and in front of the Judge. Now that he has been released from his subpoena the statement comes out.

Here is the portion of the transcript dealing with Gus saying he knew something that could "either hurt Jodi or help her"

Mr. Searcy, one of your work colleagues, Chris Hughes, testified at a hearing, not in front of the jury, that you told him you had information that could help or hurt Jodi Arias. You did testify in front of the jury to that fight you just talked about. You heard Jodi`s end of the fight with Travis on the telephone. So, that arguably can help her.

What information do you have that could hurt her?

SEARCY: OK. Well, when this all first, when -- well, here is basically this. I said help or hurt. Here is the hurt part. When the night Travis died, I got a call from Jodi at 3:30 a.m. in the morning, crying hysterically that Travis was dead. When this happened, I asked her what happened, how she was, where she was.

And I then the next day told a friend of mine about it. Well, then a little down the road she got arrested and had not confessed at that point. Then I called the D.A.`s office.

And back then, by the way, there was no limelight, didn`t even know there was going to be. But I thought this information could help her or hurt her because they can check the phone records, because I asked her specifically, where were you, where are you? And she said she was in northern California. Well, if they checked the phone records and found out she was in northern California, she would have been off the hook. If they checked the records and they said she was in Arizona, then she would have a bigger problem.

PINSKY: But she ended up confessing.

SEARCY: The D.A. never called me back.

Although Jeff Ashtons expression were amusing to me, some did not feel the same and thought that they did damage to his case. If in fact if that is true, Nurmi and his crew unprofessional mannerisms just might do the same.

I’m not sure if anyone has already picked apart the story of the trashed BMW. It would have been ruined but not the way she says: Dismiss the notion of it being towed in first gear, in any gear or in drive. The drive wheels would not rotate and if you attempted this stunt those tyres would skid along with obvious results – if you could even get the whole rig moving.

To get any forward motion you would need to put the car in neutral. But even engaging neutral and lifting the front wheels on a dolly won’t protect automatic transmission for more than three or four miles because BMWs are rear-wheel drive. Automatic transmission requires the engine running to ensure lubrication is pumped to the rear drive shafts (which would be rotated by the act of towing.)

Rotating drive shafts in neutral = insufficient lubrication = burnt out transmission.

JA tried to blame U-Haul but that’s farcical. No rental company would watch her struggling to drive off with the rear wheels of the towed vehicle locked solid! In my opinion she drove off normally with the towed BMW in neutral (key safely out) and its transmission burnt dry after a few miles.

Sorry for the mechanics lecture, and it’s a minor point, but another lie which needs pointing out – to JA and her DT. :websleuther:

I had to laugh when Nurmi asked that Searcy be free to speak with the media. Lo and behold, his face is on Dr. Drew at the first airing. Idiot! :floorlaugh:

I thought that seeing Searcy on Dr. Drew meant he wasn't going to be called back, but now I wonder. :waitasec:

Are there any DV professionals on this board? People who may have read books from the defense DV expert (don't know the lady's name) and books that this expert has suggested?

Jodi Arias is a bona fide liar. I wouldn't put theft past her either. Every so often during this testimony about DV Jodi drops in a $10.00 word. Jodi does put on airs to look, sound and act more than she is so I wonder if she is lifting passages in some books and modifying them to call her own. These $10.00 words do not roll off her tongue naturally IMO. She has practiced to pronounce them correctly but I wonder if any DV people think they have read something very similar to what JA is spewing as her own?

she went there and decided if he didn't get back together she was going to kill him....

he was probably pissed that she snuck back in that house with a camera and may have tried to lunge for the gun when she dropped the camera, which then continued to take photos. I think those back stabs happened after she told him to pose for the back shot.

I say she planned this and laid in wait...for him to say you have to leave, I need to get ready for my trip.

If I'm a juror, I'm struck by JA's obvious glee in egging on TA by always giving him what she believes will keep him on her string, especially in the one, single recorded phone call to which we were treated.

Giggling, she told Travis that she liked being debased and feeling "so dirty." So he debased her and called her names.

Looks to me like she got what she asked for in the relationship, until she realized it wouldn't last.

Then she took what would never be hers so it would never be anyone else's, either.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

All JA did was egg TA on and gave him whatever he wanted. She wasn't abused. She came back time after time and enjoyed her time with him.

If she was bring abused, she had every chance to NOT come back or to end the relationship.

I didn't hear one word of testimony that stated TA threatened her in anyway or did any kind of abusing at all.

They were both willing partners in having whatever kind of sex they wanted and both were free to stop it.

Apparently TS stopped it and it cost him his life.
