We will sit through:

-how/why she rented the car
-why she turned the plate stickers upside down (makes no sense to me, sure way to have an officer stop you)
-why she asked for a car that would not be noticed (white not fire red)
-why she borrowed two gas cans from one of a dozen ex-boyfriends and brought all the gasoline with her
-where did you get gun & knife, why bring them, where were they when Travis was in the shower

Some possible answers now that we know her elaborate story:

-rented because she had to, white so it won't get dirty as fast & I never asked for a car that was not as noticed, rental guy is lying
-upside down stickers, I did not do that, it came that way, again rental guy is writing a book probably. "Premeditated Rental"
-I apologize to my grandfather to stealing the gun, I was in fear for my life from Travis, 1028 miles away. He kept begging me to go to his house and I took the gun in anticipation I would need it, I hid it in the bushes out front until I drove to Mesa. Where is it? I left it right there in the bathroom, if they didn't see it, how is this my fault? I don't know anything about a knife. I left the camera also, see, I don't hide things, they found that just fine.
-I did not surprise Travis, he was in constant contact with me on the way, I called, he picked up and was so excited to see me, he stayed up.
-Travis always helped me, it was his idea I carry a gun for protection since I drive long distances, like from Yreka to Mesa, Mesa to Utah to see my new husband someone picked out for me.
-Contrary to what everyone thinks, I shot once and ran, Travis was standing, then slumped down but was fine, I had blood on me, but he was not fatally injured as you have heard from the medical examiner, I am not responsible if after I left Ninja's came in and caused the fatal injuries by stabbing him 29 times.
-And no, the gas cans were not to set his house on fire to cover up a crime scene, they were in case I ran out of gas from Mesa to Utah, a long dangerous drive, similar to when the Donner Party crossed, again, Travis' idea, he always had good ideas.

Jodi Arias is a bona fide liar. I wouldn't put theft past her either. Every so often during this testimony about DV Jodi drops in a $10.00 word. Jodi does put on airs to look, sound and act more than she is so I wonder if she is lifting passages in some books and modifying them to call her own. These $10.00 words do not roll off her tongue naturally IMO. She has practiced to pronounce them correctly but I wonder if any DV people think they have read something very similar to what JA is spewing as her own?

This business of the mitigation specialist's facial expressions - smirking, grinning etc, in full view of the jury, is really starting to frustrate me. I feel JM may already be aware of it because it's likely his team back at base are watching online and may even be reading here too. He might think it trivial and I would respect his judgement. But it's distracting at the least.

Bearing in mind the DT must have made an observation to the court which reached the judge regarding reactions by Travis' family (very minor IHMO), can a similar note be passed to a court official regarding the posturing by the mitigation specialist?

I know court etiquette has to be strictly observed but JM talks to the family and another court observer could pass a note to Travis' family. :waitasec:

No; this was an uncharged crime and is inadmissible.

However, when JA referred to what she claims TA characterized as her "psycho" behaviors, this and other incidents might be logically inferred.

In my mind Jodi opened the door. I wonder if Juan will ask her about the "psycho" behaviors. Lord knows what she will say tho. Perhaps there is somebody who witnessed something? Time will tell.

Actually, JA does have an intellect, especially for a high school dropout.

A poet she's not, but the objective observer concludes that she is articulate and above all, deliberate.

A liar? Absolutely.

Conniving? Scheming? Evil? Undoubtedly.

To your point, she and her counsel's shotgun defense -- wasn't there, ninjas, self-defense, abused woman, and now sex addict/slave -- are all over the board.

Does she put on airs? Indisputable.

She's not a cosmetologist, but she comports herself as a hair expert.

She's not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but she proceeds to diagnose, educate and counsel.

She's not a theologian, but she waxes eloquent on all things Mormon/LDS.

She's not a writer, but she edited the first chapter of Travis's book.

Of recent note, she's among the worst poets I've read.
