I don't think we will get to the murder today, or if we do, it will only be her 'explaination' of what started it. I can't see them getting into the actual murder and letting the jury think about that all weekend. So I am expecting to see more text messages, and listen to her drone on and on.

minor4th: thanks for finding the date of that message from Travis about his privacy (on May 26th), last night we thought maybe it was after the recorded call. It makes much more sense that it was the 26th, and possibly what set her plan in motion, since the gun was stolen on the 28th. I still think that she will say she was going to committ suicide and that's why she stole the gun blah blah blah.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

All JA did was egg TA on and gave him whatever he wanted. She wasn't abused. She came back time after time and enjoyed her time with him.

If she was bring abused, she had every chance to NOT come back or to end the relationship.

I didn't hear one word of testimony that stated TA threatened her in anyway or did any kind of abusing at all.

They were both willing partners in having whatever kind of sex they wanted and both were free to stop it.

Apparently TS stopped it and it cost him his life.

Exactly!! What we heard on that tape were two consenting adults - one just as eager as the other to be sleezy. Two equally and mutually consenting individuals, where one (Jodi) was basically asking to be treated like a *advertiser censored* by saying she liked to be debased - and so she got exactly what she asked for.

I always tell my daughter, Women don't become valued - they must demand their value. Never give anyone any reason to think you are willing to forefeit your demand to be valued.

This business of the mitigation specialist's facial expressions - smirking, grinning etc, in full view of the jury, is really starting to frustrate me. I feel JM may already be aware of it because it's likely his team back at base are watching online and may even be reading here too. He might think it trivial and I would respect his judgement. But it's distracting at the least.

Bearing in mind the DT must have made an observation to the court which reached the judge regarding reactions by Travis' family (very minor IHMO), can a similar note be passed to a court official regarding the posturing by the mitigation specialist?

I know court etiquette has to be strictly observed but JM talks to the family and another court observer could pass a note to Travis' family. :waitasec:

Totally agree! The guard the other day was rather 'unpleasant' as well. There was lots of talk on Twitter saying she was 'checking Jodi out' ewww! I thought her smiles and smirks were rude too. The lady yesterday acted as if she was Nurmi's cheer leader. Her laughing and smirking was RUDE. I'm not sure if it's the judge's responsibility or someone elses job to maintain integrity within the courtroom.

IMHO, Nurmi will wrap it up today at the very last moment. He wants the jury to go home with Jodi's version of the killing in their minds. It's typical procedure for both sides of a trial.

In the prosecution CIC, Juan Martinez ended as many days as possible with some very strong videos of JA lying and posturing. Once, they had the weekend to think about it.

Also, with all the ramblings back and forth in time, I'm sure the jury is quite confused about what happened when and are fatigued mentally from the effort to put it all together in their minds.

Last night, several of the talking heads brought up that JA introduced it when she mentioned TA calling her out for all the psycho things she's done. That's when JA said she would tell about him being a pedophile.

Speaking of which, Jodi testified that Travis deleted everything from his phone. Forensics tells us there weren't any dirty pix on his computer, sooo... he may have asked but didn't keep them very long.

Not today...I have to work all day, bummer.

Next Tuesday and most afternoons next week (tues Wed thurs). Just in time for the cross (I hope- although Nurmi may decide to back up to the day of her birth a few times before then).
